    I want my first 6 months at the residence... what could be the charges for a private room

    • @BunnyBlu
      @BunnyBlu  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      a single room rounds up to about $7000, and you might not be guaranteed a room because they offer it to full time students first, but if you’re on the waiting list then you still have a chance to get room :))

    Thank you so much for this video! I am going to York this September, and I just can’t pick one among Tatham, Vanier and Winter:( Do you have any ideas about this three halls?

    • @BunnyBlu
      @BunnyBlu  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      so glad you liked it 🤧😊 and just curious, what college are you with (aka what’s your program)?

      BluManda I am in AMPD~ I study theatre.

    • @BunnyBlu
      @BunnyBlu  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      so lots of the time, your residence will be based off your college. So I‘m Mclaughlin College so i lived in Tatham, AMPD is also known as Winters College so most people would live in Winters Residence.
      But honestly you’re free to live wherever you want :) if you want a tour of a room that’s in Tatham then stick around, i’ll be posting mines soon!

    Can we invite friends from outside to our residence? Is the residence system something like a hostel or we r free to come into the room anytime ?

    • @BunnyBlu
      @BunnyBlu  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes you can! They go over the rules on the first day and maybe different rules apply but the ones we had to follow were pretty simple.
      1. You can invite anyone to your room, but by 7pm you would have to sign them in and no more than 3 people.
      2. If someone is staying overnight they’ll need ID and you can only have 2 guests stay overnight
      Those are the major ones I can remember at the top of my head, the rest were pretty minor but I’ll go over them in a video I plan on uploading :)) so if you have any other questions please feel free to ask!

    Hey! Great video, could you recommend me what res to choose? Considering that ill be joining the engineering program this fall at Lassonde?

    • @BunnyBlu
      @BunnyBlu  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! So in your case it’s a little bit more tougher cause your program doesn’t exactly have a residence, so honestly just go with whatever you’d like!
      I wish I was able to tell you which is the “best residence” (although Pond is always number to a lot of students but also more pricey 😂) It would be a good idea to go with which one is closer to majority of your classes or even just the Lassonde building cause that’s where you’d associate with people in the same program as you and wether you have early or late classes it won’t be too long/far of a walk 😊
      If you want to talk more or have any other questions feel free to comment or privately message me!

    So confused about picking the right residence. I'll be studying Biomedicine. What do you recommend?

    • @BunnyBlu
      @BunnyBlu  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really all depends, if you want to live within the people from your program, then go with the residence connected with your college/faculty. But if you don't care and want to go with the residence you like best then go with that :))

    Hey! If I’m studying kinesiology and health science what would be the best res? I want a single room for sure but I also don’t want a dead res cause I wanna make friends for sure. I was looking at pond but apparently there’s no social there? What do you think?

  • @InChristAlone__
    @InChristAlone__ 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Is it $7000 per month, year or for the entire bachelors?

    • @BunnyBlu
      @BunnyBlu  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you pay per year, so if you’re a first year and you want to live in a single room, it’ll be about $7000 for the school year 2019-2020 :))

    Hey! Great advices ! could you recommend me what res to choose?( single room) I'm going to biomedical science

    • @BunnyBlu
      @BunnyBlu  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! And usually I would recommend going with the residence assigned to your college (eg. if you’re Biomed then I believe you’re with Bethune College) so I would suggest Bethune Residence so you would be closer to the people within your program! BUT-If we’re talking about best residence, it would probably be Tatham as I still hear a lot of people saying they prefer that residence more 👀 hope this helped!

    Hii, I applied to residence for york university. I just wanted to know how are the rooms?? Spacey?

    • @BunnyBlu
      @BunnyBlu  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! So some rooms are more spacious compared to others and depends on how much space is “spacey” for you. Example: I got my double room cause it was VERY spacious while a single room could be half of that :) If anything, when looking at dorm options, make sure to use the virtual tour feature and watch videos to get a better aspect of it, hope that helps!

      bwahah you shouldn't pick your school based on the res options or other renting/leasing options around the uni. Honestly it's the program that matters and YorkU has many amazing programs so hop off

    • @BunnyBlu

      I agree, when I was first introduced to their Crim program, I was blown away and knew I had to go to York. And even thoughI switched out of it and went into Sociology 🤧 York still does it better
