Hey! I’m currently deciding between UofT and McGill. My parents really insist on Toronto because that’s where all the opportunities are, as well as Toronto is where you’ll meet influential people and make great contracts for the future. I just want your take on all of this. Since you’ve been in Toronto. Jbtw I’m an international student and will probably be applying for PR.
hi! I really want to do marketing at uoft but I’ve heard lots of bad comments and stuff on the internet about how competitive uoft is; how it’s a lot of theory based stuff and just in general how it’s not worth it . I’m wondering if this is true or is uoft just over judged. I’m an international student so I’m not really familiar with Canadian uni s :).
U of T is one of the top universities in the world for its courses, and profs and has millions of books, documents and articles in its many libraries. It’s also in one of the most livable and diverse cities of the world; what’s not to like? Is it competitive? Yes, but so is every other university. You will meet a lot of influential people and make friends for life. Balance your course load with extra-curricular activities. U of T is undergoing a big renovation right now to make it even more pedestrian friendly and less emphasis on cars. Apply to the St. George Campus downtown. (There are 3 campuses, but downtown is best). Study hard, but make time for fun and get involved in clubs, sports etc where you will make friends. You will not regret it. Check out what’s planned. landmark.utoronto.ca/transformation/
Hi! This year I was also admitted to UofT and I am a memebership of New College! I want to know do we get to choose our own room? Or the university choose rooms for us?
Don’t be intimidated; there are tutorials right after class with a lot less students. The assistant prof in your tutorial will give you your assignments and answer any questions you may have of the lecture you heard. He or she also marks your essays. It’s all good.
It’s not hard to make friends at all. You belong to a college and you will make friends there during the enormously fun Orientation and you will also make friends in your classes and tutorials and when you attend events, like a wine and cheese party or one of the dance pubs which are a lot of fun. Just get involved; if you like to write, join your college newspaper. If you like sports, join a competitive college or non-competitive inter-mural team. If you like arguing, join the debate club. There are so many clubs; join one or two. Don’t be that person who just goes to classes and goes home; the more involved you are and open to new experiences, the more fun you will have and the more opportunities you will have. I absolutely LOVED my university experience , infinitely better than high school. And the people you meet in University will be your friends for life because of all the wild and wacky experiences you have there. Study hard, but have fun too; find that balance and you’ll be fine.
hello, I just have one thing that I really concerned about and I hope you can help me a little bit. I am a freshman of UofT this September, and I missed the deadline of first-year residence guarantee, so I got put in the waitlist right now. I really want to live in the residence but I don't know how the waitlists systems works, do I have any chance to get into the residence? :(
Such interesting times. I am in the same scenario as you a year later.. how did that go? what'd you go for residence-wise and anything on scholarships?
tks. for yr video. was very useful. I wonder, in addition to yr review, what would be good for the Faculty of Art and Science (Computer Science) in terms of proximity to classes and same-school students. TIA
@@_hiba.chi_ I know it has nothing to do with this video and I was just being sarcastic due to my lifelong resentment of how guys have to make the first move and be the ones to ask the girl out when it comes to starting a relationship

A video about your classes would be great. I’m looking at u of t for next year but the class sizes scare the sh*t out of me
I’m looking into u of t now and I come from a school where my biggest class is 20... I would really appreciate some advice.

Can you choose any of the 7 colleges ? Even if you don’t go to the faculty of arts and science ?
Hi, I'm planning to go to University of Toronto and what's the age to enter?
I don't think there is a minimum age but I could be wrong so your best bet is to contact the admissions department if you're unsure!
