    But at the end of the day it's just another Vette. This is not just another mustang

      Eh... I don't know if I'd call any Vette just another Vette... Much less a Z model, the 350r is quite special, but they are already producing The Mach 1 to take its place aside from the voodo engine... It just doesn't fit my driving style anymore. The thought has crossed my mind about having it as an also.. Car, who knows. It's a very respectable and capable machine that's for sure!!!

    • @benhead77
      @benhead77 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can’t compare the Mach 1 to the R, not even close.

      @@benhead77 your correct... The Mach 1 is a far better street car, the R is a far better track weapon

    are those the OEM CF wheels? for a car relatively new (2019, 7k miles), i dont see the fronts with the white thermal coating. those could be replicas. better double check. and btw, the mach 1 is no GT350R.

      Good Grab! I had to go back and look again. If they are replicas, no way $85k

    I have a 1017 R and at 54 love it for N/A high revving fun. braking corning so much fun. I dont know for sure but with limited production numbers it could just maybe in a few years go up in value. I hope so anyway. My ruby red with a/c or black roof is one of 17 that year.

    One thing also, 350r has no targa top when your cruising. Which is a huge thing for me on my z06

    Had a 17 GT350, went to a C7 Z, back in a GT350R. It is slower, HOWEVER IMO way more engaging and "special" feeling with the Voodoo. I track the car regularly.

    • @lifewithmike1883
      @lifewithmike1883  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I tracked the car even once a month I'd agree... The GT350R would be the better car... But 95% of my driving is the road and the other 5% is at the strip... I think if I were to go back in a mustang it would be a GT500.

    I don't understand why you just won't wait, keep the car you like, and get the upcoming Z06 in 2 years- that will be a very very special car. If you want something exclusive your current Z06 isn't it- no offense but I've seen many C7 Z06 on the road and never saw a GT350R in 5 years driving in the NorthEast. GT350R is a diff beast but is an incredible experience to drive and I don't track it either.

    • @lifewithmike1883
      @lifewithmike1883  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed, it will take something extra special to make me get rid of mine. Not even sure the new ZO6 will do it... The 350r ultimately just doesn't fit my life at this time. And at that price... 10k cheaper maybe I'd grab it and hold on to it for a future when I have more room, but for now, it's just to much for me to justify, for that amount I'd be more inclined to spend an extra 5-10k and get the gt500 with auto and I wouldn't need to worry about the wife factor as well

      @@lifewithmike1883 - Wait u til prices come down! All used car prices for these type cars are selling much higher now due to supply chain problems and Covid. The GT500 new sells for about that price with several options.(without the EXPENSIVE CFTP for $18k). Plus you can get a like new GT350(nonR) for about $65-72k for a 2019/20 with much lower miles! Check out Carmax they list a fair number at decent prices.

      @rembo183 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kotaku46 - if you can find a low mileage like new one and you have the money to spare sure but also consider how you’ll use it. It’s not the most reliable.choice as a daily but ok as a track focused toy. It requires more money for maintenance than your average GT or Ecoboost. Those are much less money and look really nice especially with a few mods. I’ve driven all the Mustangs and they’re all fun. Just test drive and compare. Car max has a lot of GT350 Mustangs. Choose a 2019 or 2020 if you can because they made lots of improvements in 2019.

      prices are skyrocketing because of the pandemic and they stop making the GT350/GT350R. that flat plane crank voodoo engine is rare. if you got one keep it. they will keep going up in price.
