Keep the Red since everything you ordered will match, red calipers, red stitching, red engine covers, it will look great. I must say I would change wheel choice because the ones you ordered have a silver lip that matches nothing on the car, I would Definitely order the Black Trident spoke wheels instead, they look great on the configurator. Just my 2¢

In my Senior year of High School I Owned a Ford 66 Mustang Coupe that I fixed up like a 66 Shelby GT350 Coupe and later I purchased a 69 Ford Mach 1 Mustang, but it was Stolen!...Man!...I Miss my Mach 1! I've Drove a 64 Plymouth 4Dr. Valiant, a 71 Plymouth Fury lll 2-Dr., a 72 Mazda RX2 2-Dr., a 77 Mazda RX3 SP, a 85 Mercury Capri RS 5.0L and even a 2000 Ford Explorer back in my Day! I like your build with only 2 variations. First, Torch Red, Torch Red, Torch Red. Second, I would have skipped the steering wheel upgrade. Regardless, it is going to be spectacular!
Just because the 2lt is built before the 1lt does mean it will ship sooner. They generally ship about the same time, built cars normally sit and wait until orders stack up. Most cars regardless of trim level are going to ship early March...my friend works for GM he would know!
Step in the right direction, yet document provided to you today is only a vehicle summary with pricing. Next step will be when they provide you with the peliminary order detail document putting you in 1100 status showing your order has been placed and accepted at the dealership only...followed by 1101 and 1102 status codes. I won't be excited until I hit status code 2000 when order is accepted by Chevrolet as 1100 status can hold for sometime considering allocations, where in line you stand and constraits. I'd head back to the dealership and get the 1100 status set!!
So here is my general question to anyone who wants a discussion. Mind you I am in no position to buy either car lol. The discussion is around price to performance. The Ford GT500 car builder came out recently and I spec'ed one out and it came out to around $78,500. The highest spec mustang, I'd say looks pretty good inside and out. Might not be super car nice but it gets the job done and is no slouch in that department. Performance wise they seem to be pretty evenly matched, while the mustang is technically more powerful, the corvette has a better 0-60 time due to is weight. From what I can tell pricing is pretty even when you spec a 3LT c8. My main question is what makes someone choose one or the other? From a pure performance area the corvette is faster at about the same price but we haven't seen pricing on the ZR1 or Z06, which will probably hit the 100k mark. The GT500 is 78k~ maybe 80k max, I see the argument for the c8 sting ray but after that, doesn't the mustang beat the theoretical Z06 and ZR1 on price to performance? Disclaimer I love both cars and if I had the money would buy both but I'm just curious what others think about the Price to performance between the 2 cars, not talking about how a corvette can beat a mclaren at half the cost.

Sounds Awesome...But however I will have to say that in 1998 I stepped over from the Dark side and bought my 1st Ford Mustang and in 2010 sold my last Chevrolet that I owned and I did shed lots of tears as I watched the vehicle be driven away. I was born into a Chevrolet family and my Grandfather probably turned over in his grave when I bought my first Ford, but they have all been Mustangs that I have owned. But I will say that I do really appreciate all makes of , Chevrolet, Dodge , Chrysler, AMC, Pontiac, Ford,Lincoln , Mercury, GMC anything made in the Great U.S.A. and even I will say of course VW, and even Opel.. but the older I get I just see me with my Ford Mustangs, the 2,3,4 valve engines with long tubes X pipes and outlaw mufflers you can hear and tell what the car is off in the distance long before you even see the nose of the car of the park lights. The sound is totally above anything else this day and time..Just like back in the day it was Chrysler that had the sound over any manufacturer by far, and I never saw myself going from a push rod engine to a Modular motor either but I did and love them too. I will have to say that am mid engine corvette is going to take getting use too, but I just do not see it becoming a "Pantera or a Gt40"...now what is your thoughts on that my Friend ?
Talked about this in a prior video... Ended up not buying the 600LT due to the issues with the order getting messed up, and other delays. Decided to get both the GT500 and C8 Corvette instead. Very excited about it!

Glad your getting the vette also if I could afford another 100k car I would definitely get the GT500 but I got the C8 first 5k is expensive for the Z51 performance package says the guy that payed 10k for painted stripes on his Mustang lmao I like that an American Ferrari .....for less than 100k says a lot
No it won't people like our host who would never buy s C7 will buy a C8 they have a completely new and younger customer base now. That was one of the points
Allen Saunders traditional corvette buyers won’t buy a C8. So the theory of more people will buy it is thrown out the window. Plus the people thinking they are getting a hand built super car when buying this corvette are going to be shocked. The fit and finish and materials will not be ultra high end. Plus there is going to be certain issues..... and they won’t like having to leave their car at a chevy dealer to get warranty work.
This is shaping up to be one of the greatest hype events of recent times. All this hype and no one... I MEAN NO ONE (other than GM) has driven the car yet. This thing has the potential to blow up all over GM and the gullible suckers who committed to buy this thing without the benefit on one single independent review.
