In this video the nerds take a look at the games released in December 1989 for the Sega Genesis. Did Sega offer a great Christmas in 1989? Find out now!
This month was full of bangers! There is not a bad game in this list. I have not played enough Rambo 3, Super Hang On, or Truxton yet to rank them. I would our Revenge of Shinobi at the top of the list. I absolutely love that game. It takes some practice, but it plays really well when you get used to the controls. You have to get a feel for the double jump. Then I'd probably put Golden Axe ahead of Forgotten Worlds, but that could be partly nostalgia from playing it growing up. As for the cover arts, I have to give them all to NA this month.
No point in playing super hang-on now when the far superior road rash exist. And personally i feel golden axe deserves a bump up, But i agree with the friendly fire. Was a terrible mechanic for a beat’em up haha
