Sounds like something i’ve had for over 20 years. Had so many tests done. Not one doctor ever mentioned Sibo. They could never find what was wrong. I will look into this thank you!!
@@joycegilkey3677, " ... SO many colonoscopies!!!" Doctors get much more income from them than from finding and fixing the causes of symptoms, such as SIBO, which could have even been caused by treatments they have prescribed, such as antibiotics.

12 days ago after compilating going to the hospital due to pain and bloating in my intestines/stomach (extreme) and also felt like my ulcer returned. I decided to researh a bit first. By the next day I had decided to do a fast and afterwards go carnivore. 3 day water fast - lost 5lbs now I have been on the carnivore diet (4 hour eating window) I am down 10lbs today and have zero symptoms as of today. My skin looks better, this strange swelling in my eyes is gone, joint pain gone, rash on my arm that I had for months is gone, and I am back doing yoga daily (I am a yoga therapist) and of course I decided to go vegan for ethical reasons, not knowing that turned my particular body into a ticking timebomb. what probably was a partial bowel obstruction (My husband is a general surgeon and I have past issues which could cause such a result). I feel like a completely different person and have finally shed the guilt of eating meat. I will move to a keto 4 ,hour window diet in two weeks to make sure I am fully recovered. Another benefit: I have had to use allergy medication such as Afrin etc.. for years due to nasal congestion.100% cleared up. I feel emotionally grounded and clearer in mind. A strange side note: my skin smelled like mustard the first week. I am still a little tired, but I was exhausted before this began, so I think that will take some time to resolve. Thank you.
I hear you 👍and, at the same time this video falls short of really helping a person know what test to take to determine if they have sibo and also a diet and protocol of what to do about it and I looked down in the description because he said he would have more information about the test Etc and there was nothing.
@@spiritflower6640 there’s a few different breath tests you can take that are popular. Nothing is 100% accurate but if you tell your health care provider that you suspect you have SIBO and would like to be tested they should have an option available for you. If they don’t you’ll need to see a GI or a Functional Medicine doctor. I think there are a few places you can even order it online yourself but you may still need to help to interpret the results. Find a supportive doctor and a coach for the best results!
Your TIMING is miraculous! Im literally about to start taking probiotics to overpower my bad bacteria - but you say focus on total ELIMINATION of bad bacteria 1st - THEN Add probiotics. 😅👌🏿
I thought the issue I was having was bile related and not enough probiotics and I was eating more veg and fermented foods too, all triggered by a massive stress event. It wasnt getting any better and tbh it was getting worse. Im so glad im finding these sibo videos - just a few days changing to this and the symptoms are going away. ill keep this up until my guts had time to heal. Thanks doc!!
I believe I am struggling with SIBO, as we speak. Sadly, I thought I needed a better probiotic and more fiber to help with the constipation. I was trying everything I could try. I didn't realize I was making things worse. 😥 I'm so grateful for the clarity and the help of this video. I am praying that -- (along with testing and examination assistance from my naturopathic nurse) -- I can get this situation reversed. This information has been so HELPFUL. Thank you SO MUCH, Dr. Berg. 🙏❤🙏❤
Look up Avipattikar it's the herbs in powder(make sure its Organic) but I will say first if you take it be sure to start with the 1/4 teaspoon. This stuff loosens extremely well, and I do mean extremely well.
A few years ago, I was so sick!! Doctors didn't know what was wrong with me. I had horrible diarrhea, bloating, sometimes vomiting and always nausea. I had colonoscopy, the scope into my stomach, and even swallowed the camera capsule. Eventually, I had a doctor give me antibiotic for sibo. I was eating the wrong foods, thinking they would help, but only made me worse. Probiotics made my abdomen hurt so bad, I couldn't take them. Sadly, the doctor didn't bother to teach me what not to eat. I eventually got better, tho I was very anemic and weak. I had iron infusions and B12 injections. Thank God for doctors who teach us about nutrients, minerals and vitamins we need for our health.
About 6 months ago, I has symptoms indicating possible SIBO that lingered for months. I then had a very hectic chaotic week - when I had 2 separate days of not eating for 24 hrs. I noticed after this prolonged 'unintentional' fasting, the odd abdominal discomfort and bloating I had been experiencing for several months - disappeared - and has not returned.
Ridge Briar you may have completely starved out and killed off the bacteria in 2 days. This is another method people have found to be effective. Some people can do it with a one day fast, others would take longer.
I wish I could find something to help me. I have been bloated and have had a distended stomach since mid year of 2015. Hospitalized in Jan 1st 2016 and they did find ileus which is where parts of your intestines quit working and if they don't start working then they have to go in and remove those parts because they die off from not working. Been to 3 GI Dr's which all have told me different things from it being caused by anxiety to gallbladder to I'm healthy as a horse but I know how I feel, I know what my stomach looks like and how I feel like I'm going to split open because the bloating and distention is so bad. And what is even worse is that I only eat once a day. Once in a blue moon I try to eat again but the pain isn't worth it. I pray that what is ever wrong with me would be healed so I can start to feel normal again. Be able to go to a buffet and just be able to eat what I want, yes that sounds like a goofy thing to want to be able to do but I miss being able to eat. Let's not forget I only eat once a day and gain weight. Gained 10 pounds in one week and the GI Dr said that was normal but let's also remember this is the same Dr that said I had nothing wrong and it was anxiety. He never checked my stool, pushed on my stomach or anything. But he said it was anxiety. So I wish I could find out what is wrong with me but seems like Dr's today don't give a crap. I'm glad you are feeling better and I hope you stay that way. One question, did you still drink water when you didn't eat?
@@kimsikorski5691 - I am sorry to hear about your health problems. The 2 incidents that I went without eating for over 24 hrs - unintentionally - happened within a 3 day period during an unexpected 'crisis' situation. Even after the 24 hrs, when I finally realized I hadn't eaten, I still wasn't that hungry and waited another 30 to 60 minutes before eating again. FYI - Most of my life I have not eaten during the day because I had noticed years ago, I felt more energetic and alert if I didn't eat during the day - long before anyone ever heard the words Intermittent Fasting. I had recognized long ago, it was the blood sugar / insulin swings that were causing sluggishness. A book called The Zone came out many years ago, confirming that insulin swings were associated with the serious chronic illnesses - and the only way I knew how to stabilize those blood sugar swings - was to not eat. It only took a couple of days to adapt to not eating during the day - for me, it 'feels' normal and I rarely feel any hunger during the day. In recent years, I have felt a bit more general abdominal bloating and discomfort ... and then this recent strange episode of migrating discomfort, bloating that suddenly occurred about 6 months ago ... and lingered on - even with eating once a day. It was only when I went 2 stretches within a 3 day period of not eating for over 24 hrs each time ...unintentionally ... that I noticed a couple of days later, that this strange bloating and discomfort that had plagued me for months ... had vanished. I have also noticed that the generalized milder bloating and discomfort I had felt for several years ... also greatly improved. In years past, I have also had a series of painful gallbladder issues that would last 6 to 12 hours ... just enough time for food to move thru my system. If I thought a gall bladder issue was impending - I would immediately stop eating, and stick to water for about 18 hrs. After a few years, I noticed that the gallbladder problems had virtually disappeared as well. For me, it seems dealing with digestive issues by not eating ... seems to be working so far. Also, this past year, I have even intentionally fasted 18 to 24 hrs on days when I don't feel that hungry - without any "hangry" problems - and felt very well. And FYI - I drink only water and occasionally black coffee during times I am fasting. I hope you can find some answers to your health issues..
You need to keep trying. Keep going to more and more doctors. I know it is really hard and seems like there is no possible solution. But keep looking at reviews and find the best gastro near you. There has to be one of them out there that will perform the tests you need and find the actual problem.
I am not writing this if I am not TRULY TRULY VERY GRATEFUL. Dr. Berg, you literally saved my life! I had had bloating symptom for a few months and all the time I thought it was indigestion. My doctors agreed. before that, I could normally run 10K within 1 hour with ease and during the time I had bloating, I could not run more than 500 meters as I felt so exhausted I had to stop to take some walk and started running again. I didn't know what happened but my legs felt so weak. Since I thought it was indigestion, I ate lots of fruits, vegetables and pro-biotics. Didn't work. Things got worse that recently I felt out of breath going up one flight of stairs and later developed edema on my feet and legs! Until I came across your video. I reexamined myself and found that maybe the problem was the lack of nutrients (especially the B12). After your video, I knew I had chosen the wrong and opposite path, the things I ate (fruits, veggies and pro-biotics) actually promote the SIBO! I turned to carnivore diet and ate lots of garlic. I felt better within 2-3 days and after a week my edema was gone. I felt very strong after 10 days. If I didn't watch your video, I would have taken Diuretoc my doctors prescribed and might have believed I had chronic liver and kidney failure like they diagnosed. I went back to my doctors (I put an 's' to emphasize I always get at least one second opinion) and they never heard of SIBO, amen. God bless you Dr. Eric Berg. P.S.: a very special thing about your video that differentiate your advice from others is that you recommend herbal-antibiotic (that's why I took garlic, onion, honey and extra virgin olive oil), and as far as I know, you are the first one recommending this. And IT WORKS! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!
I did a 56 hour water fast & it gave me relief from SIBO for weeks. Unfortunately, I got too confident with my newfound health that I decided to eat every piece of junk food in sight and it came back 😂 I'm going to do another 56 hour fast followed by 2 weeks of low carb or Keto diet with Intermittent fasting soon. I really did feel like a million bucks afterwards

You usually need a treatment plan w antibiotics to fully get rid of it otherwise it’ll return. They actually hide even future in your intestine when you starve them but don’t die.
I watched your video on Bile because of noisy bowels. Then I saw this one . I have celiac and tend to have a lot of bowel problems and vitamins deficiency. I don’t have a gallbladder either. Now I’m thinking that I have SIBO really bad. I’m so sick and miserable from either the bowel problems or the deficiency problems. I will try the ox bile and the SIBO suggestions. I’ve been on keto for 5 years and I’ve been stuck and not losing. It was hard to pin point WHY when I have so much digestive issues going on. Maybe this will help. I’m 70 and I try to stay as healthy as I can. I’d love to see more information on digestive issues. Thanks for the help that no one wants to talk about. Gas, bloating, loud bowel sounds, diarrhea, vitamin deficiency .
I have this condition and I’m always in pain. I’m so glad you shared this video because now I have an understanding of what this disease is all about and what I must do to try and heal it. Thanks so much Dr. Berg, God bless you.🙏
I have a very unique case of SIBO. My diet is very limited. I have HIGH stomach acid already but am still very sensitive to most foods. Going alkaline (high PH water, aloe) along with fasting are what help me the most
This makes so much sense. It's no wonder I eat so healthy yet my body feels like I'm missing the nutrients I consume. This video & your explanation & info are SO helpful. Thank you Dr. Berg!!!
While I agree with the regime suggested, I would urge caution taking 5 x Betaine HCL capsules to increase stomach acid. These often come as 640mg dose. The ones I took also contained Pepsin. I overdid it with 3 capsules and burned my oesophagus and it took me a week to get better. So start low for a few meals (1 capsule before MAIN meals, not snacks), then slowly increase until feel like your digestion is improving. If you feel like you've taken too much, cancel it by taking a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda powder (baking soda) in a glass of water (you'll probably burp). Don't take antacids tablets or PPIs, they are a big part of the problem in the first place when used constantly!
I went to the doctor yesterday for my sibo problems and he said I should take probiotics. But, I saw these sibo videos from dr. Berg before I went to my doctor. I just knew my doctor wasn't giving the right advice and he really doesnt know what he's talking about. He also asked what sibo was.. If i took the probiotics, my stomach would be upset even more. I'm not visiting the doctor anymore. Eric Berg is my new doctor. Thank you for your free knowledge dr. Berg, it literally saves peoples' lives.
@@denisemartin3603 the doctor said there isn't a test for sibo. I didn't take probiotics but i cut carbs/sugar as much as possible and i can see my sibo belly is getting less bigger gradually.
My doctor also never suggested sibo for me but my naturopath did. She told me to stop taking probiotics, only take for now PHGG - 2.5 tsp mixed in water after dinner. Take apple cider vinegar . Curcumin - 1 tablet daily. If well tolerated increase to twice daily Vegie Digestaid - 1 capules with main meals. . Magnesium 1 caosule daily with food. If well tolerated increase to twice daily. To increase natural form of vitamin c and take vitamin D. I have found for years now that Bromelain helps my gut. To add quality olive oil to my salads.
Fabulous talk Dr. Berg! I’ve been working on getting rid of SIBO for the five years I’ve known it’s affecting me. The intermittent fasting I believe has helped so very much. It’s given my mIgrating motor complex the time it needs to do its job. I had never considered the importance of fasting for the gut until you enlightened me years back! I feel so much better. Now to finally fix the systemic inflammation and copious food intolerances and allergies. Thank you for this educational video...

I think I can totally approve since I totally got rid of SIBO with IF and low carb (mostly low carb and lazy keto, sometimes clean keto for 2-6 weeks). Also my stomach acid got back to a normal level. It did especially improve extremly while I was on OMAD for 3 weeks. Through usually I go better with IF 20:4 because I sometimes had problems with the huge meals.

2 days of fasting got rid off my intense bloating and pain. It felt like my digestive system was 'dry' during the painful episodes after eating. I wonder if anyone felt the same kinda pain. So glad I got rid of it. I can sense my stomach fully functioning now.
I’m pro vaccine but mine started after my fourth Pfizer. Loose stools 3-4 x a day after the vaccine but I was drinking a lot of kombucha stuff the time (2 cans a day) so maybe it was the combination
Thank you for your in depth information. I'm preparing for my 2nd SIBO test. After w months of intense antibiotics, the infection came right back. After this repeat antibiotics I will follow your suggestions. Thanks for all you do
This is the easiest demonstration to understand. I have been wracking my brain and so i just started today the Kyolic Garlic (the one for Candida) , clove (per your recommendation in another video) and the oil of oregano. Going to get some ACV capsules . Unfortunately I have erosive esophagitis and have been hospitalized twice for it. So taking the HCL and the liquid ACV is out as those were the two that broke the camels back. I discovered a few years ago from an endoscopy that I had H. Pylori. I took the antibiotics and my gut got so much worse. I tried carnivore and that did nothing for me other than constipate me even more. I do believe it’s a matter of killing off the bad bacteria BEFORE adding anything in. This is awesome!!!! Thanks Dr B
Yes first clear up sibo and then try to introduce these things to prevent sibo in future. Betaine hcl working best for me after antibiotics and try Triphala powder is good for sibo take before bed.
Hello doctor! I just got my breath test results and my hydrogen goes up to 97! Methane stayed the same. I'm guessing I for sure have SIBO. I'm a little confused, everywhere I read it says to stop consuming garlic but you're saying its beneficial..About the vegetables, should I stop every single one of them? Is this just for a few weeks? I've been trying to follow a low fodmap diet. And about IF, how many hours should I fast for? Should I have dinner earlier and stop eating until breakfast? I would appreciate your response, thank you in advance, Doctor!
Very important question for SIBO Treatment - do you avoid all FODMAPS when on the KILLING PHASE with herbal/conventional antibiotics? Because some health practitioners say you should avoid them during the killing phase and afterwards, while others say that consuming FODMAPS during the Killing phase is much more effective as it does not let the bacteria go dormant and increases the effectiveness of the antimicrobials. There was also this study on SIBO where patients took just antibiotics and antibiotics with guar gum (high FODMAP) and the latter had much bigger effectiveness. I am leaning towards the 2nd scenario - that it might be wiser to consume some FODMAPS during your killing phase, and after the treatment you do avoid them for a certain period of time, while supporting yourself with probiotics. What do you think, what is your stance?
There's a pompous English TH-camr called Gojiman who claims to know much more about Sibo than Dr Berg.... because he's a nutrition student. Sad to see Dr Berg being rubbished by him and his subscribers. Put in a good word for him over there everyone😉.
Fasting is probably the best way to reduce SIBO or any unwelcome bacteria. The beneficial microbes are perfectly adapted to periods of "starvation" and will outcompete the bad one!
@@Mazen_2016 You just eat healthy KETO like dr. Berg recommend and eat 2 big meals within 4 hours and then fast the next 20h without ANY snacks. One day a week some do a cheat day and snack. You wont lose weight if following that program. Not if u are skinny already. Also its good to work out or do interval training (high intensity) This will boost growth hormones and build muscle.
I ended up getting the worse case of SIBO in the world after food poisoning that lasted a month before they caught it. I was sick for 5 years. Every doc I saw I told them antibiotics make me feel better, they said I had IBS. I was So skinny sick and gassy, they even took my gallbladder out and that made things worse. I did so much research, got a new GI Doc, and asked him if I could have this. He said he could promise me that was my issue. Gave me a very expensive anti-biotic as well as diet change. It saved me, I could have cried. It is something that will probably never fully go away, I do have to take xifaxan every year or 2 depending on how I eat and stress levels. This last time I went 2 years. But just needed to start another round of it. It sucks living with this, who knew food poisoning could mess you up for life? I have been dealing with this for over 10 years now.
@@itsbrittneymj Yes 100% it works, But you need to take like 550 MG 3 times a day for 14 to 15 days. And you might need to do it more than once. If you are still having issues you might need to do it again in a few months. But if you stick to a mostly keto or lower carb/fodmaps diet while taking the med and after, you will probably not need a follow-up treatment.

My SIBO came from really bad dentist- the bacteria went right into my gut- it was awful! Everything you have stated has happened. I got LANAP surgery on my mouth and now ( because of your information) I fast daily 18-20 hours and do OMAD. I still struggle due to the biofilms and have a very limited diet. I had a root canal done that felt 'heavy', and then started hurting more and more. After 6 months of horrid pain it burst- a piece of filling material had been imbedded in the gum. The fluid that went up my sinus and down my throat burned like heck. A year of horrid stomach pain, not able to work, a doc who promised an ultrasound but being Canada it'll never happen. The dizziness, the headache, the huge bloating, back pain, chills. I've been living off savings, spent a fortune on every stomach remedy known, and by trial and error realising what I can eat. I've always done intermittent fasting and grow all my veg, I'm a clean eater, but this has very nearly killed me. I just want to be done and go back to life.
Stelios Class I was diagnosed celiac same time (also causes nutrient malabsorption). I also have MTHFR gene where you don’t absorb B vitamins. What did your doctor say with SIBO??? I had to push and beg for a vitamin B and vitamin d test. Because I take supplements B came back way high, but I heard that doesn’t mean it’s absorbed in your tissues. I definitely don’t feel right still. Frustrated because I feel B12 injections could help.
I had it for the entire month of January. I beat it by doing a 3 day prolonged fast with just black coffee and electrolytes (nothing that stimulates the liver). I felt so good after doing this that I now do one prolonged fast a month of 4-5 days. Bacteria in the small intestine dies off and it allows for the gut lining and mucosal layer to regenerate. Also quells inflammation by resetting the immune system and improves liver function. Dr. Valter Longo has some great interviews online going deep into the science.
So I went into “remission” a few years ago. Now I know it was SIBO on top of my connective tissue disorder. Couldn’t figure out why I went into remission, and it was because I was fasting and taking magnesium citrate to clear everything out regularly! It worked!
@@UbairManzoor I have an autoimmune condition and others on top of SIBO… but it was about 2 years or so but it’s come back now. Antibiotics never put a dent in it, only time and fasting and “cleanses” have worked
Dr Eric Berg has finely described the small intestine microbes and functions of the digestive tract and to overcome the gastric ; bloating issue very rightly .. And it really worked - thanks Dr Eric Berg..
A carnivore diet with intermittent fasting for the first 4-6 weeks is your best option. Then after no fiber/carbs for the first 4-6 weeks add in low fodmap veggies and nuts
Dr Berg, would you do a video on the best and worst foods to eat with SIBO, please? I've been struggling with it all summer and would love to see your recommendations. Thanks
Dr. Berg, you have a video on when you shouldn’t take Apple Cider Vinegar and you list SIBO as one of the issues when it should be avoided. Which is accurate??
I can't believe it, you've just described me. I've been dealing with this for years and no one has ever mentioned SIBO. I am feeling a litre lost though and don't know where to begin and what kinds of food I can have while I'm cleaning out my system. Thank you much for explaining so fully and in easy language.
I have been dealing with this since I was born. My family was in and out of the hospital with me constantly. Once we finally visited a naturopath, the only thing she could come up with was SIBO. I know it sounds weird, a teen giving you advice, but I’m practically a doctor with everything I have done. My heart goes out to anyone else dealing with this. Sometimes I will be perfectly fine for months on end, then I will have flare ups. “Flare ups” is what my family calls it” they have lasted for months and months on end. They seem to keep on getting worse the older I get and the more I find out about it. The children’s mercy doctors don’t know anything about it. At all. I have had 2 doctors in my life that know about it. I have started to try something where I have a little journal and throughout the day I log my symptoms. You can log what you ate, drank, what you used to try to calm your stomach, etc. You can even make it all cute and decorative. ✨scrapbook style✨ now prepare yourself, I’m about to give you an entire list of foods you should try to stay away from. Now, of course this is different for different people, it’s just that these things can cause inflammation. Sugary foods, (including bananas and different fruits), fake/artificial sugars, coffee, dairy (small amounts are fine if they are spread out and less than serving sizes), bread (sourdough is fine it actually has a lot of things in it that can help you digest food), starches (potatoes, corn, tapioca, etc.), a lot of gluten-free breads aren’t very good, anything high in carbs. There are definitely more than this but I’m not going to list off anymore. This reply is probably centuries long, lol. Mainly just try to stick to proteins and veggies. Very small diet, I know. You can obviously eat more than that, those are just the main things. Something that I struggle with (a lot) is exercising. I definitely don’t do this as much as I need to but it helps so much. Your immune system gets very weak with SIBO, so it is important to build it as much as you can. Ok, I’m done now. Stay strong and I believe that you can do it!
Low fodmap diet! Anything high fodmap feeds them and they ferment in your intestine causing gas and bloating. Low fodmap helped me and digestive enzymes it’s a game changer

The test for SIBO is called: Hydrogen Breath Test. You blow into a bag every 15 minutes over 3 to 4 hours (different bag each time) and then you get results within a week. If positive, you may get an antibiotic called Rifaximin (expensive) to take for 14 days which kills it fast. Then you have to rebuild your friendly intestinal flora after, as any antibiotic will destroy those. Take a probiotic with at least 20 to 50 Billion CFUs and 12 to 20 different strains. You'll be good to go.

All this combined keeps sugar low, kills/starve the bad bacteria, helps u extract fat for healthy cholesterol and healthy fats help u remove any bad fats. Once the balance is fixed, u can add veggies back in 1 by 1. To see whats irritating to YOUR digestive system.
It really depends on what bacteria has overgrown. You really need to deal with the overgrowth. Use FC cidal with dysbiocide. It's as effective as rifaximin with less relapse rates. I hear it's less effective for methane dominant rather than hydrogen dominant though.
Thanks Dr. Berg for the education. I have enough stomach acid all I need are the enzymes to digest lactose in milk and complex carbohydrate in beans and broccoli. Beano and lactaid help me so far. I don't have to take Tagamet for indigestion and no more antibiotics. I was on Zantac and Amoxicillin off and on for 20 years. Finally your videos show me the way to good health.
Spent 4 hours at urgent care after a month of severe abdominal pain, gas, bloating and back pain. They did a ct scan, blood, urine test and sent me home with a recommendation for gas-x. Ugh! Now I am combing through Dr Berg videos to get to the heart of the problem. SIBO may be it. 🧐
I had similar, and they told me interstitial cystitis- it felt like a hot medicine ball sitting on my pubic bone. I was so cold I had my house temp at 25 deg. That was a year ago and I am still trying to figure this out but getting closer. Potato, salmon, and well cooked carrots. Ugh. The worst is the utter brain fog and dizziness after eating.
I think I already had this condition. I took real antibiotics and it cleared. But afterwards, I had done IF, tools lot of lime and water and I hadn't watched this video at the time yet. I guess I did somethings right. I hope it won't come back

Thank you.
How are you feeling a year later? Are You still keto?
I have the weird eye swelling too!!

@Penny I'm doing a little better, Penny. But it's an up and down thing. I found out that I'm also Celiac dominant. What a time!! 🙏🙏
Hi! I hope you're in a better condition now.
Aside from being constipated, what other symptoms did you notice? Was your stool yellow in color?
So Did the antibiotics help your sibo?

@@02Ahandsomeguy yes! It was so embarrassing!!
It was from all the gas in my belly.
@ureka, my husband had colon cancer, his belly didn't have any rumbling or gurgling sounds.
Please help me man , I've lost 8 kg in last 4 months with SIBO.. six hours is the maximum I can go without eating...

I've been trying to follow a low fodmap diet. And about IF, how many hours should I fast for? Should I have dinner earlier and stop eating until breakfast? I would appreciate your response, thank you in advance, Doctor!
Be careful with consuming onions and garlic, it has some type sugar that feeds sibo. He ment all the herbals and garlic as a concentrate in a pill.
Have u cured yours?

I have been dealing with this for over 10 years now.
So the Xifaxan worked? I’m hesitant to take it because of the price but I’m really considering it!

It is a horrible thing to experience but it has led me to follow channel and be a health warrior. Thank you so much you are very inspiring. I do Vegan limited Keto with IF - more videos on that subject would be appreciated 😁❤️
Hi did you beat Sibo?
Yes and I did it also by doing a carnivore diet
Your timing is scary. Dealing with SIBO right now. Fingers crossed.
Me too 😂
You understand that there are probably hundreds of people with the same problem, watching Dr. Berg? :D
Elvis Del Rio Same. Diagnosed April. Still waiting for insurance to approve Xifaxin 😡
It worked!
How many MG's did you take? and how long did you fast?
Is your sibo still in remission?
If yes? Then since how many years?
@@UbairManzoor I have an autoimmune condition and others on top of SIBO… but it was about 2 years or so but it’s come back now. Antibiotics never put a dent in it, only time and fasting and “cleanses” have worked
Why you’re so good, thank you very much Dr Eric Berg for all the information you give us, God bless you?!
Dr Eric Berg has finely described the small intestine microbes and functions of the digestive tract and to overcome the gastric ; bloating issue very rightly .. And it really worked - thanks Dr Eric Berg..
Thank you for this timely and extremely important info.
Dr Berg what do you think about using oregano oil as an antibiotic to kill intestinal bacteria?
But he already said in video to take oregano as a herbal antibiotic.
Dr. Eric your videos are very very informative and always on point with solutions.. thank you so much for helping me and many others.
Wow thank you for the information,it’s helping me understand it so much more! Hopefully I can start healing from my painful symptoms of sibo.....

Thank you so much Dr Berg, this video has helped me heal my SIBO. Love using your digestive formula that has both betaine HCL & ACV
How did you solve it please ? You did everything that dr Befg said ? Thank you very much
I totally believe eating raw garlic balances out microbes in your gut. I’ve tried that and have noticed regularities from that.
makes one wonder how most General practioneers know frankly bugger all about this,,,,Dr Berg is a hero.
A carnivore diet with intermittent fasting for the first 4-6 weeks is your best option. Then after no fiber/carbs for the first 4-6 weeks add in low fodmap veggies and nuts
Did you have SIBO? Did you lose weight on that diet ?
Dr Berg, would you do a video on the best and worst foods to eat with SIBO, please? I've been struggling with it all summer and would love to see your recommendations. Thanks
Carnivore.
@@Shayne_T Do you have sibo too ?
Dr. Berg, you have a video on when you shouldn’t take Apple Cider Vinegar and you list SIBO as one of the issues when it should be avoided. Which is accurate??
Dr. Pimentel recently said his team has found that ACV is NOT recommended with SIBO, as it can increase hydrogen. That also includes betaine HCL.
@@ConfluenceNutritionim even more confused now😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I can't believe it, you've just described me.
There’s charts on google!

Most people do, and don't even realize it. Always immediately take care of water leaks!!! I am fighting for my life because of mold. I am severely anemic now, I can't hardly walk because I almost pass out. I have breathing problems, severe chest pains in my heart that send pain to my left shoulder every time I would eat, heart palpitations, facial numbness after I eat, dizziness, severe weakness,, muscle spasms, internal tremors, brain fog, hard time remembering things, losing weight like crazy, just started having serious blood sugar problems in the last 2 days where my heart rate was 137 and oxygen was 76 (my oxygen levels were always 99 to 100 before getting sick) . My heart rate has been very low at only 47 for the last 2 years, and now it is even lower at 37. My stomach starting bloating really bad after I ate mostly at night for the last 2 or 3 weeks, now I can't eat solid food at all because it gives me severe diarrhea even only a very small amount of food chewed very well. I was even down to eating only meat and some vegetables. NO sugar, until now because of serious low blood sugar problems ( raw honey in warm water). No grains, no processed foods. I literally feel and look like I'm slowly starving to death. I daydream about food. I have seen many different doctors, with no help yet. I have had 13 children (6 still living at home), so I was already pretty depleted before the mold which caused serious health, gut and whole system problems. I started getting better when we went and stayed in Airbnb's for 2 months, but we couldn't afford it anymore and had to move back into our home. The insurance company finally agreed to take care of most of the mold, after denying the claim at first. I don't want to die, my family needs me but I am no help to them right now. People don't understand what we are going through at all. Husband is getting sicker day by day and children are having more symptoms as well. We need SERIOUS HELP to heal and have been living off prays and miracles since my husband cannot work right now and is taking care of us all. I cannot break down meat any longer and have proteins, mold, and bacteria in my blood. God please send us help to heal & recover??? We need a doctor that has experience dealing with mold in the body and has actually healed people from it. The doctors here don't believe in mold toxicity poisoning. We have carbon dioxide in our blood also because of the mold.

You forgot to put links regarding SIBO tests as you mentioned!
Yes 😩😩
He seems to forget that often .

What is safe to eat when you have sibo? I've been struggling with that question for 8 months now.
well for one ive had to do the one meal a day. i make a bone broth with some herbs, i have been drinking a pint of warmish water with a shot of acv, i have been eating a raw clove of garlic with a lemon slice sometimes more than once a day. gave up(ish) coffee. i know its not recommened, but.... i some times drink a tall thing of coconut water with 3-4 lbs of bananas--it works. mashed potatoes with lots of butter. no fried foods
Yes please tell us, what to eat
A keto diet. High healthy fats like olives, mayo, eggs, avacado, Meats and fish, tart fruits like cherries, green apples, citrus, cucumber, and cook your greens to help ease digestion. Avoid raw foods til u build up your stomach acidity. And use herbs on ya meats. Like the actual leaves.
All this combined keeps sugar low, kills/starve the bad bacteria, helps u extract fat for healthy cholesterol and healthy fats help u remove any bad fats. Once the balance is fixed, u can add veggies back in 1 by 1. To see whats irritating to YOUR digestive system.
ELECTRIC BEING in Keto there’s fibres
It really depends on what bacteria has overgrown. You really need to deal with the overgrowth. Use FC cidal with dysbiocide. It's as effective as rifaximin with less relapse rates. I hear it's less effective for methane dominant rather than hydrogen dominant though.
This is great! I never new this, but it explains a LOT. 👍🏼👍🏼
