I use to put kidney beans in my chili too but someone told me to try the Bush's Chili Beans a long time ago and now that is what I put in my homemade chili when I make it. I use the Mild version though because I already have the heat with the jalapeños that I also put in and I drain about half the liquid out before I add the chili beans.😋
Wasn't a bean person as a kid. As I got older I found beans I like in chili. The fritos are best with BBQ. So glad they are back. I don't add the stock. I do a paste and make it thicker but thin it back down a bit with spicy hot v8 juice. 2 of the mini cans so probably 2 cups. Try that if you havent.
I was thinking of Frito Pie, too. You can get it in a few places around Austin that haven't been bought out by chain restaurants owned by millionaires that purport to serve the best food at the highest prices. The Texas Chili Parlor and Billy's on Burnet come to mind. I believe that the Texas Chili Parlor, although it's changed from what it used to be, still does not use ground beef. Buying a large quantity of beef, bone in, allows them to make their own beef stock to put in their chili. Why add chicken stock to a beef stew? Inquiring minds want to know. AB, you make chili very well, but I, for one. would never put beans in it. :-) That's MY chili.
Wow! I’ve made every chili that you’ve come out with, and it was all amazing. I’m gonna have to try this one with the cinnamon. Looks great. Thank you sir!
I mixed your recipe for chilli in the crockpot from a few years ago., with the recipe I created !! Just a few personal changes but my chilli is AMAZING. BECAUSE IF YOU!! So thank you so much!!
The chili is on...the family is hovering around the pot...and I'm on chili watch duty. Otherwise there won't be any at dinnertime. Great recipe AB, as always my friend...
I actually did this recipe... It was amazing!! Quick and simple way to prepare chili. I've always soak my pinto and Northern beans overnight and add it pretty much all the same ingredients. I'm learning new and improved easy simple recipes. Thank you Chef Jazzy💋
I always look at how you make chili. That looked really good. I put a bottle of Heinz chili sauce in mine when I make it and it steps up the flavor. However, people make it to their liking. Yours always looks good though and I'm sure it is.
Another great chili recipe! Looks yummy 😋! I actually like chili that's saucy because I like dipping my cornbread or crackers in the juice. I've never cooked chili in a crock pot, but I'm gonna give it a try. Also, I've never used kidney beans, I usually use pinto beans. Maybe I'll do a mix of the two next time 👍🏾! Thanks!
I have my level up seasoning. I usually use can Chilli but I'm going to definitely make this. Thanks as always for sharing AB. Ohhh I've been growing my green onions for years now in a mason jar, the absolute easiest thing to do.
Yes I remember those chips fritos chips they are still my favorite chip to eat Iove chil when cook something or make some I use the store bought can chill my mom use to make chill for us if I had a corck pot I would pre heat it It really doesn't matter I love chill with no beans with just the meat it looks so good chef ab happy Thursday
I love to make chili and yes I use beans that I cook myself not the can ones!!! I watch your channel regularly but my first time posting. Keep up the good work 🤗
I'm in South Carolina and I like chili either with or without beans. We usually call it chili beans or plain ol' chili. Plain ol' chili is usually for our hot dogs and chili beans a stand alone meal. I like it a little thicker than what you made but I'm sure it's 🔥! Just makes it better to mix in some sweet cornbread 😉😁
I'm in Texas.....the "NO BEANS IN CHILI!" state, but that looks delicious AB! I never turn down a bowl of good chili with or without beans! Thanks AB for another great recipe
I'll use cinnamon in Cincinnati style chili, especially considering I was born & raised in Cincinnati. I use coffee in it as well. As for a regular beefy/beany chili like yours, I can't picture cinnamon in it. But I'm always willing to try new things in chili.
Mmmm looking good. I never thought of the Fritos, but I do love them. I used to make two giant pots of chili when we were watching the final football game, the Greycup here in Canada. i like lots of beans, and we'd make one pot moderately hot, and the second one screaming hot.
😋 Thanks A.B. you're chilly looks delicious . I'll have to try the cinnamon . Some times I eat chili with beans . And some time I don't . This is how we like . To eat are chili . Fritos , onion and cheese . It's called a Frito pie . You and family enjoy your dinner .😊😋😊😋😊😋
I don’t generally take pictures of my food but I do take pictures of the Keto desserts that I make. I like desserts but can’t have the regular sugary treats so I have to bake my own. I’ve come across some really good Keto and low-carb desserts so when I want something sweet I start baking. Believe it or not, almond and coconut flours make for some really delicious desserts.
I've made a very similar version of this one, I used beef stock instead of chicken and Cocoa powder instead of cinnamon. It was very good, and as odd as Cocoa sounds, it really added something really nice to it.
Cocoa is underrated as a chili ingredient. My mother won a statewide chili cook-off many years ago with cocoa in her chilli. It basically makes it a Chili mole. I personally don't put cocoa in mine, but I like my chili sweet (and spicy) so I will sometimes put part of a Hershey's bar in mine if I have one handy. Usually I use molasses to get it to my desired sweetness.
Fritos not bad I never tried it that way brother but it look good keep doing what you doing I'm learning as I go my home is Louisiana I love southern cooking
You did That,💯 I love a nice, thick chili and I add nutmeg for an added spice level, Looks Delish🤤🤤🤤 S.N.- If I'm cooking a sauce based dish I preheat my crockpot😋
Greetings for chili cheese fritos in the bag with cheese. There is an old liquor store up the street that makes like they made them back when. Gotta go get some fritos got my chili ingredients Definitely will add the cinnamon as i know how good it is. Healthy dark red kidney beans the best. Thank you. BLESSINGS 💥
I make mine like this except I need to try the cinnamon and i use green pepper to and i use the mild rotell tomatoes for a little kick. and i use hamburger and steak in mine. yumm def making this tomorrow
I rarely preheat my slow cooker be it a thick ceramic lined crockpot or an InstantPot on slow cooker mode. I just dump my contents and forget about it for the next 4 to 12 hours. I like serving chili with corn chips, shredded aged cheddar cheese, grape tomatoes and sliced lettuce for a chili salad. Simple recepies are often the best ones and what I cooks is very much the same as what you made here on your video. Only I add more onions and green pepper. Chili is great any time of the year any time of the day if you live in Alberta.
I love the kidney beans in chili but I find that more often than not, I prefer black beans in my chili. And I also use ground turkey and turkey italian sausage in my chili. I don’t really use a lot of ground beef but if I do, I prefer grass-fed beef.

If I use ground turkey which season should I use Rub A or B?
For chili cheese hot dogs no beans but just chili yes beans. I love Fritos in chili. I take pictures of my food.
Lmao 😂 me too
I love beans for chili cheese dogs too, tho!
To me, chili has beans. If it doesnt have beans, it may as well be birria.
Yep exactly . Only for hot dogs and burgers .
I enjoy chili with and without beans. I also love Frito Pie! I almost always take pictures of my food.
Bush beans are the best of the best
I use Bush’s beans, too! Mainly, because my mother always used them in her chili recipe.
I love my crockpot! I uses it at least once a week. ❤️❤️
It's a great help!
Great tips! Thanks fam!
Never would imagine using cinnamon! But I'm going to try your recipe.
Afterwards, come back and let me know what you think. Okay? Enjoy!
Let us know. I’m making this Monday. Maybe do two crocks, one with cinnamon and one without.
What were the results?!
In Texas, old school style, we call chili without beans, smooth velvety cheese with diced white onions over fritos in the bag, a "Frito Pie"😋🥰
I was thinking of Frito Pie, too. You can get it in a few places around Austin that haven't been bought out by chain restaurants owned by millionaires that purport to serve the best food at the highest prices. The Texas Chili Parlor and Billy's on Burnet come to mind.

AB, you make chili very well, but I, for one. would never put beans in it. :-) That's MY chili.
Wow! That's old school! Chili Fritos Reminds me of the ice cream trucks back in the days!
Best chili I ever made was using leftover smoked brisket. Great flavor
That is a great level up!
Watching the channel 5 news right now and you’re on it. Congratulations on your success!!!!!

Wow! I’ve made every chili that you’ve come out with, and it was all amazing. I’m gonna have to try this one with the cinnamon. Looks great. Thank you sir!

The chili is on...the family is hovering around the pot...and I'm on chili watch duty. Otherwise there won't be any at dinnertime. Great recipe AB, as always my friend...
I like fire roasted Rotel and a can of good Mexican Beer.
Some times I add pinto beans and some time I don't.
Ed
I actually did this recipe... It was amazing!!

Thank you
Chef Jazzy💋
Ditto on the pinto & northern beans. That's how my Mom did it. She said they were softer than the kidney beans. Yum !
Always saute and caramelize your onions FIRST. It definetly changes the flavor profile for the better.
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe and it looks so delicious 😋!!!!
Hope you enjoy!
don’t forget crock pot liners.. they will make cleanup afterwards super easy 🎉

We call those frito pie back in New Mexico of course we use New Mexico chile powder and we add lettuce onion cheese tomatoes super delicious!
Love what you doing with these recipes bro, most of the time I personally don't put beans in my chili unless I'm cooking for a lot of people.
I'll use cinnamon in Cincinnati style chili, especially considering I was born & raised in Cincinnati. I use coffee in it as well. As for a regular beefy/beany chili like yours, I can't picture cinnamon in it. But I'm always willing to try new things in chili.
As usual, yummy!!!

I’ve actually made it with Northern or Navy beans and it was down for the 👑.
Good evening AB
I WATCHED THE LIVE WITH ANTHONY AND CEDRIC .
I’m a proud supporter!!
I'm gonna have to try cinnamon. I did cocoa powder once and it gave it an earthy-smoky flavor.
