    I made this recipe last night and the whole family loved it. I added pinto beans instead of kidney beans. It turned out so good that there was a drop left for leftovers. We all started Weight Watchers and this turkey chili recipe fits perfectly into our program. Thanks for the great recipe!

      @@Ctwosrer Yes, I added a small amount of salt and Lowry's Seasoning Salt to taste- it most definitely needs a little salt to enhance the taste.

    Tried this recipe last night and it turned out great ! Since I don’t have a crock pot, I used a regular boiler pot on the stove top. I decided to add the beans in un-drained just to make sure there was enough liquid and everything turned out amazing. The seasoning combination has a great taste and I love that this recipe doesn’t require a ton of ingredients. Thanks for sharing !!

      It's better to drain your beans and add an equal amount water if you need it. Better yet, strain! Bean water has a lot of undigestable fiber, which is how they got famous for making people gassy. Wash your beans!

    Love the new intro! I just made turkey chili for the 1st time last week, but I will definitely try your way next time. Used the same recipe I would’ve used for ground beef & I barely noticed a difference in the taste, so I’ll be using it from now on. 1lb of ground meat browned, half an onion diced (red), several cloves of garlic, half of a jalapeño pepper finely diced, chili seasoning of your choice, 2 cans of ranch style beans (undrained), 1 can of chili ready tomatoes 🔥

    I love turkey chili and I love this recipe. It's the perfect weather for it too, its cold and rainy here in Texas. I don't know why people have a thing about turkey as long as you season it properly it's good in everything, burgers, meatloaf, spaghetti etc. Nice updated intro.

      I usually do a 1 to 1 Turkey and 70/30 Angus ground beef. Especially when making burgers seasoned with the Monterey steak seasoning.
      And yes, that intro is nice. 💯

    • @marywilson9660
      @marywilson9660 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@supremerulah420 yes it's nice to do a mix if the budget allows. But being on a budget I can usually find ground turkey for $2 a pound or less and I stock up my freezer. I usually season with Dale's or Allegro marinades, which has many flavors, Ilike the spicy one. The marinades tend to cut that turkey flavor. Then your regular seasonings garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and sometimes beef flavoring, most of the time you don't need salt because of the marinades.

      @@SmokinandGrillinwithAB I'm sorry I meant your smoking and grilling brand In the intro. You showed the brand touching the meat but not the meat once you used the brand on it but it still works out.

      @@clinteastwood75 right I was waiting for the name to be branded on the meat as well. That would’ve been 🔥

    Thank you AB. My son had been craving homemade chili with turkey since last year so I gave it a shot with your recipe. Needless to say with your assistant I pulled it off. Thanks again

    I've made this twice now and it is perfect. I used hot chili powder instead of regular and 1 can of kidney beans and 1 can of black beans. Best chili I've ever had. Plus I've saved it in the fridge for up to a week and it still taste great reheated in the microwave. I will never buy a can of chili ever again. Great recipe 👍👍👍😁

    My go to seasoning! I have been using this mixture for years for my tacos plus a couple extra seasonings. For chili I do the same minus some.

    Because I don't eat beef, I only use turkey for recipes that call for ground beef..... but I always season my turkey immediately so that it takes on the flavor of the seasons and spices. I have found that browing my meat first and then seasoning, the turkey still tends to have a raw/bland taste. I also use beef bullion and then follow any beef chili recipe. I've even tried yours, and it works perfectly. My family members, that are beef lovers, never realize that I actually sub ground turkey in place of the beef.😉
    Keep the videos coming I love how you are "simplifying these recipes and taking the mystery out of cooking"
    Grace and peace.

    Very good! Thank you. Made 1/2 of what you did here. Added1/2 cup chicken stock, one diced jalapeño no seeds, 1 tsp flour. Topped bowl with diced onion as well as cheese and sprinkled some Tony Chacheres. No sour cream but bet that would be delicious. But really good chili!
