The software is called MultiECUScan MES for short used to be called FES (fiat ecu scan) look it up on the website will tell you what you need to get started with it. If you have any questions they have a forum in the website. It should be able to look at faults from a transmission

@@realfaisalk nope the car is still picking up a fault so while the bulbs might be working one of them is either not getting a good connection or giving a high or low resistance, I had it with my Evo and my grande that the side lights in the front would blow but you couldn’t tell with the headlights switched on
Good video. I have 2012 Punto Evo 1.2. I’m am getting what looks like two different warning triangles come on, neither of them the engine light but they come on almost every time i drive after a few minutes with the warning ESP unavailable, stop start unavailable, and hill holder un available. some times not at all. Do you know what could be causing all this. Happy to buy the kit recommended if I need to.
@@PuntoHowto you are right, I can not remove it with ELM. In Turkey; we are using a secondary fuel system "LPG" becaause of the high gasoline prices. The start stop option was disabled by LPG Technic service in order to prevent any problem while restrating the engine. (Engine must be started with gasoline, than after LPG will be automaticly activated when the engine tempareture is suitable.)

I had unplugged some things to create the errors, when you do this with older cars you can have lots of errors recorded way back that have never been cleared. So you have to clear all the errors then use the car to see what the current faults actually are. The fault the “one we need to fix” was me turning the ignition on and off repeatedly and rapidly to make the car think there was a starter fault” no actual fix required, but if it was a real fault then the starter is where we would then look, or take it to the mechanic. I bought it at 7 years old with pretty much all that mileage already on it. It works out to about 25k miles a year and I think the first owner must have traveled a lot, probably up and down a lot of motorways.

Coloured cables are used on some cars to access different things on the car, so you might need one of the coloured cables to access the abs computer or the electric steering computer

I have a Fiat punto evo 2011 and one day out of curiosity turned on the seat belt buzzer or allarm , now i am in a mess and regreful of what i have done , no way to get it back to the former state ( with no allarm sound ) The option is now disappeard from the menu . Last year took my car to a (said) Fiat dealer to turn it off but no success , they could n't turn it off , Charged me even the labour costs . Is there any way to deactivate the allarm sound using Multi ECU scan ? Would be grateful to recieve any answer from you ?! Thanks in advance.
Good vedio, I have punto 2017 Done 70k but have this continous alarm check transmittion, have changed speed sensor twice, worked well for awhile then alarm get back again. Very frestruated
The automatic gearboxes on fiats are such a headache I wouldn’t touch them. I’d be looking at getting advice from the dealers, sadly a 2017 model is going to be out of warranty and this sort of problem can get very expensive

There was a phone app but it was very sketchy with a lot of Bluetooth dongles not working. Much more reliable on PC and the dongles are easily available.

Not something I was aware of so not something I can answer, obviously a lot of t-jet cars are getting older so I’d expect a lot more problems on those older cars but specific problems with cold starting is not something I’ve heard about
Yep, mostly in a period between late 2011 when the car was new and mid 2018 when I bought it. Mostly on motorways and was seemingly well looked after, the only down side it the massive number of stone chips. Embarrassingly I have only put about 4-5k on it, in 2 years
@@PuntoHowto I had a Bravo like that. Bought it new and put 80k on in 3 years 😱 Fiat paint is terrible for chipping. Mine was red, the undercover was white, looked like it had spots 😢
I don’t know anything about the bravo, however Fiat’s are not like VW or Audi, you can’t usually code functions in or out like you can with german cars so I suspect it’s not something you can do
DZomla Masina yes the instructions are on the can, usually it involves disconnecting the turbo pipe and spraying the cleaner into the intake pipe while the engine is running so that the cleaner circulates inside the egr valve.
Do you mean the code to unlock the radio, no, you’ll need to get the serial number off the radio and approach a company that has the software to produce the code
Hey buddy! I noticed that at the start of the video your Start Stop said unavailable? This is my fault code. I'm waiting on my devise arriving to clear this. Do you have the same issue? If so, how did you sort it? I was thinking it could just mean I need a new battery as I have the original one still installed from 2010. Car starts up fine everytime. Just the start stop has never worked. Cheers
It’s not a fault code, just times that stop start is not available, in this instance it was the battery not being good enough for stop start to work, the battery was perfectly good but fiat stop start system is fussy and anything less than perfect will annoy the system and stop it workings the battery would have otherwise been fine in a different car from a different brand

I have a Fiat 500 and i show me now fuel cut Off unavailable ,airbag,start/stop.I did the diagnostic on haldford today ,i change the battery and they try to erase the errors but it comes back .they says is ECU. Can you help with advice please ?

Having a little look at what these codes might mean as they are manufacture specific, it may be a problem with stability control sensors or it may be a problem with the CanBus system itself, beyond that I can’t really offer anymore help.

Hey - thanks a lot for your video, very helpful! I ended up buying a ODBII interface from amazon (made in china, doesn't say much else .. lol). I'm running multieuscan 4.7 on win10 and i connect via bluetooth mapped to com5. I'm trying to connect to a punto evo 1.4 (2010) - When I open the software, I set the port speed to 38400 bauds, i click test and it seems to work ok, however when I try to connect to the car, it gives me a timeout. Has this ever happened to you? Not sure if you're using the same interface but it definitely has the same colors as mine, looks the same minus the leads.. I just plug mine straight in from the back without the lead :D I'm finding online some interfaces from china require a modification where you remove a resistor.. did you have to do that with yours? Any tip would be greatly appreciated! :D Thanks dude, great work
Yes I did have to modify mine, instructions are on the MES website. Worked fine after. I bought mine about 9 years ago now, I stupidly assume they would have maybe fixed this problem

I guess I'll give it a try, I don't need to do anything too fancy after all, just try and clear the airbags light.. it appears that for 7 pound more you can get a decent lead on eBay that you don't need to tinker around with so let's see, something else to try.. haha thank you for the great video again! What was the device name which you connected on obd port and where can we buy the device. If possible could you please share the link. Mine is fiat 1.3 multijet 2009 model
ELM327 is the adaptor used, however you may need a set of patch cables shown in the video to access everything on your car, depending what car you have. You need to look on the Multi ECU Scan website for that information. Not knowing what country you’re in means there is little point me providing links, check amazon or eBay, or equivalents where you live
Yes you can plug In and see what the fault is, if it’s just a glitch somewhere then you can clear the fault and the light should go, but if something is broken and it needs replacing then the light will keep coming back on

Yes MES should be able to tell you fault codes from the gearbox but you may need to have the full paid for copy.

Just a question, would the multi scan software reset any warning lights on the dashboard?
It can do, it depends on the reason for the light. If there is a fault then the light will keep coming back until you fix the fault
@@PuntoHowto it’s says ‘check running lights’ even though all bulbs are working. Would clearing the trouble codes reset it.

could be a number of different things, you'll need to get it plugged in.

Yes it will to program an airbag ECU into the car you'll need the paid for version of MES

Stop start error will be because of a fault in the system you’ll probably have found by now you can’t just delete a stop start error message

Yes you can turn off the seatbelt alarm with MES, I think you might need the full registered version

You’re possibly quite right to think it the blue and me, you’d need to get the software by Googling “fiat multi Ecu scan”

hi! lot of t-jet have cold start problems (starts with 2 or 3 attempts), it often depends on the fuel... it is ECU-software issues or something?
Not something I was aware of so not something I can answer, obviously a lot of t-jet cars are getting older so I’d expect a lot more problems on those older cars but specific problems with cold starting is not something I’ve heard about

It’s a transmission fault code from having a quick Google, I recommend you look it up on Google for more specific answers and advice

The software can read faults on transmissions check the MES website to make sure your car is covered

I don’t really have any experience working on 500 but I know they have a lot of airbag ECU problems so what you’ve been told maybe correct

What was the device name which you connected on obd port and where can we buy the device. If possible could you please share the link. Mine is fiat 1.3 multijet 2009 model
ELM327 is the adaptor used, however you may need a set of patch cables shown in the video to access everything on your car, depending what car you have. You need to look on the Multi ECU Scan website for that information. Not knowing what country you’re in means there is little point me providing links, check amazon or eBay, or equivalents where you live

Yes you can plug In and see what the fault is, if it’s just a glitch somewhere then you can clear the fault and the light should go, but if something is broken and it needs replacing then the light will keep coming back on
