if you do your best not to mall grab..thats the bitchiest posiest bitch ass move you can do..What the fuck is your life worth if you're worrying about a fucking mall grab. tfoe
I skated for years. Some tips for newer skaters: Ollie: 1. Get a good balance/riding balance ( trucks are not to lose or to tight) 2. Ride a bit on your board to get a feel for it. 3. Place your back foot towards the tail and your other foot half way up on the board. (maybe a bit higher depending on you) 4. with your back foot you want to push down on the tail, and this will raise your front trucks. Now do this a couple of times. (Just lifting up the front truck until your tail touches the ground in back and back down.) ^ this is important because off of your tail you need to pop that so you can get air time with your Ollie 5. Now with your other foot that should be close to the middle of the board. Now this foot is going to slide up making a push forward so when doing step #4 it'll level both trucks off the ground for an Ollie. 6. Gotta be confident and not afraid to get off the ground. You may mess up but practice makes perfect. I quit skating 4 years ago and can still Ollie. Good-luck and I hope this helps someone! SKATE ON.
Axel Rodríguez I've been skating for three months and have been putting off ollies until now 😂 just practice as much as you can. And it helps to put the rear wheels into a cracking because it's stable and even if you don't land in the crack that just helps you land it properly lol
Axel Rodríguez I spent $250 on a board but I hit a growth spurt and grew out of my skate shoes and forgot about it because winter came but before that I couldn’t ever do a fucking Ollie I’d do the whole foot placement things then I thought yes I did my first Ollie nope nothing
What’s wrong with grabbing the board by the handles? I don’t but I’m just wondering why the skating community judges people because of the way they hold their board
The "I can't ollie" cracked me the fuck up. A few years ago I was convinced that I'd never be able to ollie so I set out to learn how to boneless instead, luckily I can laugh about it now.
I recall old school (1970's) Ollies, no sliding of the front foot. Similar to a jump (board goes under, rider goes over something) motion, nearing the end of the jump motion, the front foot is lifted off the board, the rear foot pops up the board and is also lifted, the board ends up hitting the lifted front foot to level it out, just before hitting the lifted rear foot. It was mostly used for jumping from a street over a curb onto a sidewalk, about a 12 inch high Ollie. I don't know if this method was more difficult than sliding the front foot method, since there's a brief moment where both feet are completely off the board. Even with the modern front foot sliding method, I've seen slo-motion videos where the rear foot is lifted off the board.
Yeah but i'm strugguling with depression for a while now and i can't push myself to go out and skate, i have no friends to have fun with and last time i wanted to skate i was exhausted just by pushing a bit... Jumpin'Eagle maybe you should try bmx? I recently switched from skateboarding to bmx and i'm really glad i did. Nothing against skateboarding tho, but it just wasn't for me. I did land some new tricks sometimes, a few shuvits, but that was like one land after an hour of trying non-stop. I have now been bmx'ing for a month or something, and i have to say that i have way more fun with it than with skateboarding. Bmx just feels easier to learn and easier to get consistent, which really motivates me. I recognise the struggle with depression and friends man. I don't have depression, but i had a period where i felt really bad, and bmx-ing actually helped a lot. Hang in there mate ✌🏻I don,t know if i am safe to say this on a skate channel tho haha
