Great job! fellow boat owner here also, 32' Baja twin 496s. Also need to pull engines every other year for sea water pump service, currently building a trolley chain hoist on S beam for pulling engines.
I had 2 2 x10s with a space in between spanning across So I strapped a 1 inch steel bar to the top of both of them and then put the hook of the chain hoist on top of it Thanks for asking!
Most of the wood I used was from leftover projects the only thing I bought were 2 12 foot four by fours. If you don't have any wood just go to Home Depot's website and price out what you would need to build it just to give you an idea. thanks for watching!

Did you use a winch to lift motor up and was it directly on the would if so
I used a chain hoist and hooked it to a steel rod that I attached to the top of the wood crossbeams. Thanks! :)
