How to change a high efficiency furnace
This is just a basic overview of how I went about changing my old high-efficiency furnace that needed an expensive blow motor to spending a few extra hundred dollars and getting a whole new unit and installing it. I also realized that the furnace I had was under size for the size of my house so I also upgraded from an 80,000 to 100,000 BTU furnace, the video is not perfect but if you just take your time everything by taking pictures and videos as you’re taking it apart, you should have no problem putting it all back together. Also, most units are hard to get if you’re not an HVAC guy, but the Goodman units I was able to order online and it was delivered very quickly.

Looks like you will definitely have smoke coming out of the front. you have eliminated the lung therefore smoke coming out of the front. the fire bricks in the rear should come up straight then angle forward 10 to 15 degrees to direct the heat smoke to the lung where it will mix with air pulled in from the front to shoot up the flue. Pitch and lung very very important or all u have is a box with a hole and blinding smoke.
Sounds like it makes sense. Theoretically but after having experienced fires in his box with a hole I can tell you that 80 to 90% of the smoke is going up to Flu and the smoke is mostly in the beginning when the fire is not hot enough Once it starts to burn clean there’s virtually no smoke. Just heat in a comfortable setting.
@@joerut7585 no smoke should be coming out of the front 0%. job looks nice. however blah blah blah.
2014 Mazda 6 the old switch won't come out, it's too wide with the square shaft that inserts into shift assembly. Remove back console section, then loosen front console piece and pull to widen gap between console left front panel and shifting assembly. Also, on bottom of old switch, you have to remove an electrical connection. Your other video on how to first manage console is recommended!
I have a 2022 Q60 with low beam failure part is $1700 plus labour around 300 ! I cannot take bumper of myself and would pay some one to refurbish mine do you have any ideas ? You could make a fortune on the infiniti clubs website ❤
Did anyone have a problem getting the old shifter switch part out? Mine is stuck. Should it be in Neutral instead of Park?
Is it worth trying to rejuvenate the foam with a steamer? Do I need to replace the plastic sheeting under the vinyl? Old plastic was all cracked and ripped.
Glad to help hope it comes out great! Don’t forget to like and subscribe it helps my channel Thank! :)
Came out great bro and great video. I'm actually gonna attempt to do all the upholstery over in mine this weekend. I took everything out last weekend. I had absolutely no clue how to make all the rounded corners come out right. I did some of the old Google is searching and they were all sewing or left out alot of tips and did not show alot of what they did. I saved this because I'm sure I will need a go to video. Great job
What size tee did you use?
Nice video, such much easier to understand how things work when you can see they components.
Glad you liked it!
Beautiful! I am replacing my original outdoor FP and doing exactly what you did. I love it. Are you going to show it fired up? I would love to see what it looks like fully ablaze. I have a draft problem and I am hoping you do not have a draft problem with this. As much smoke comes out the front as does out the chimney. Thanks

Great video!!! Thanks for breaking this down
Glad it was helpful!
Appreciate the video.... probably not gonna use the 2 cans i got :( I wanted to do my emblems Judging by your results on the close-up issue it definitely should be sanded completely as youve said then use iso prop alcohol diluted to clean. All coats probably have to be super light , espicially the 1st and 2nd in order to get a better finish . Does it peel off fairly easy ?
Yes peels off very easy I peeled it all off and resprayed with plasi dip much better product driving now for four months and no problems whatsoever on the front grill isn’t as glossy, but it’s much thicker and more durable

Great job Joe. Yea... those terracotta liners are basically the same as terracotta floor tiles, which I know crack quickly when placed in a fire. (Porcelin tiles will not crack unless the heat is very intense.) Yea, they are used for chimneys, but like you said, they need to be several feet away from the direct fire and most intense heat. Concrete block holds up pretty well if it's a few feet away from the direct fire, and won't last very long "if the fire touches the concrete block." Finally, if anyone uses concrete block in an outdoor stove, it must be kept dry. It can crack if wet brick is heated up quickly by a fire, and freeze and thaw of the winter will crack it too. If it's kept dry, and protected where needed with some brick, it's fine.
Great video! I am rebuilding my pontoon arm rests. 30+ years old and the vinyl is actually not in bad shape but the wooden frames of the seats (under the fabric) were rotten. Thanks for the hair dryer tip as I think I'm going to need it to stretch the old vinyl fabric over the new frames.
Glad to help, hope your restoration goes well
I've been looking for a solution to this issue for years, finally it's bad enough that I'm getting a new vehicle, but for $20 and a bit of time I'll fix this so I can take my time car shopping. Thanks!
Seems like you talking to yourself . Very sad you need to learn how to present .............................
Thanks!
Thanks for the support man. Really appreciate it. Hopefully the video saved you some money.✌️
Hope it was helpful Thanks! :)
Understandable and useful information even at 1.5x speed. 👍
Doing any paint work outside you’re going to have a orange peel issue and contamination
Thanks! Stackstone was so much easier. Not sure if I mentioned it in the video but I used thinset to apply the stones. good luck on your project
Dear lord, have someone record for you or use a tripod. We can't see shit when your phone is constantly moving and you're using one hand to try to do the work.
Much better! I'm about to start the same project. I like the Stack Stone idea too!
Great video - this is what TH-cam used to be - normal people (not disgusting "influencers") posting stuff that helps other people. Well done and thank you for making this!
Thanks also for making this video. My Mazda 6 had the same issue. I discovered that the switch also has a plastic snap that also holds it on (in addition to the two screws). I also had to adjust the shifter cable so I removed the four bolts that holds the whole shifter assembly to the console. Doing so also allowed the switch to be removed with a regular screw driver so I don't know why anyone would have to remove the whole console.
I’m so proud of this dude for doing it himself! It’s affordable and everyone learns as they go. This will last for a nice while for more family fun without having to pay off debt 💸 love the creativity! The self starter mindset!! Let’s go. Need more people like this in the world 100%
Thank you so much!!
What is the shifter switch part number? Been living with the issue for over a year now and would love to get it fixed but I can't seem to find the 2016 part number..
What color did you use?
Thank you! I was quoted $700 for this job last week, by a mechanic I’d *thought* I could trust!
Glad I could help
This is the most difficult car I've ever had to change the oil on! Pretty insane for what should be pretty simple. Mine just started leaking after doing one, and I am pretty sure this is why! Thank you
Glad the video helped :)
Absolutely amazing !!! I prefer the metal bar towards the inside so it isn't seen !!!
Hmmm....I'm thinking I'm going to be sorry I spent over $30 for this stuff to spray some of my bike parts. Heading down to the garage now to give it a try.
I didn't like the product had much more success with using plasti dip spray just has a more matted finish
How does it work? Does it put out much heat or does the heat go up the chimney?
plenty warm in 40 -50 degree weather anything cooler just have to burn hotter with more wood
This just happen to me now i know how to fix that problem
in minute 10:34. I think i need to replace that piece. please let me know if its available online
Awesome!!!!! Thank you very much. My son bought a 2014 Mazda 6 grand touring and it had this problem. I was able to get the part on Amazon for 8$ and change it out in less than 2hrs.
Glad it helped
How is this holding up now that it has been a few years?
Still in great condition
Great job... a few "adds." Best way to create "light" concrete for fire applications is to add perlite to the mix... 4 part perlite to 1 Part Portland or Type S Mortar. Perlite stands up to about 1,500 degrees. Easy to get at most garden stores. (Tiny white nuggets) If it doesn't need to bare weight or be strong you can go to 5 or 6 parts perlite to one part "whatever." Also, most steel parts today are "galvanized" so stay far away until all the outer zinc is burned off during the first burn. Zinc poisoning is not fun.
thanks for the info
@@joerut7585 do you have a block count ?
You made this close to a tree. Don't you think the tree roots will create an issue as it grows larger and cracks the concrete?
The tree was dead and has since been removed I left a 4 foot stump because that’s where I used to hang my hammock from between the stump and another tree
You poured a 4’ pad. But your bases add up to 64”. Am I missing something here?
Do I need a clear coat ?
If you’re willing to do a clearcoat, just paint it and clear it that’s your best option otherwise, use plasti dip spray I don’t recommend the rust oleum unless it’s in an area where you won’t get any road debris from driving like maybe rear emblems
Blah blah blah. Another amateur video with nonsense talking nobody cares about.
