    They are definitely gold. 8 ft 2x4’s are 8 bucks a piece here in East Tennessee.

    Also, I have seriously considered running I beam wall to wall in my shop for indoor gantry .. My span isn't as long as yours though (I wish)

      Look into what is called a Microlam beam.

    I have a dirt cheap 10' Yukon that needs a motor.. How much should I factor for motor you think ?

      The Gen IV stuff is still pretty pricey, probably around 1200-1500

      I have (2) questions re: gen iv
      Could you make an older ls work in something like the 10'
      Isn't it the Gen iv that start getting problematic

      Literally used it to put the Cummins in this truck two weeks ago lol

      @@TheDrivewayEngineer I'm impressed, I'm building one now to pull the engine out of my boat but mine will look like it was engineered to hold the whole freaking boat because I'm a carpenter as much as a mechanic and everything just has to be overbuilt. from these videos I get a ideal of the limits of wood, if your held that Cummins mine should hold a 4.3 V6.
