My Mom wasn't very big but she was very good at splitting wood, she absolutely loved splitting wood even in her 70's! She is 93 now, and she doesn't swing an axe anymore, but she misses it. B.C. Canada.
@@nathanadrian7797 you dont have to be big to chop wood, it's all in the swing, angle and tools you use to do it. Shes lived to be that age by continuing to that in her 70's it good exercise. It's a blessing you have her at the age of 93, my mom will be 89 in May.
@@mariecook7910 Mom would call me and say she had a block she couldn't split, to which I would reply "Mom you don't need to split any wood, just give me a call" . Moms reply? I like splitting wood! It would have been easier to keep a kid out of a mud puddle! May God bless you and your Mom with many more years together full of love and health.

I live in the UK now and I miss mushrooms the most. In my neighborhood in Poland there are a lot of mushrooms, but the red pine mushrooms have almost disappeared. You can find some for frying, but I haven't eaten pickled in 30 years! You're making me jealous lol
Ha ha)) We also eat pickled ones, grandma makes awesome pickled mushrooms

I'm sure they know. As I grew up in Poland, also close to nature. You learn mushrooms or herbs there since you were a child. It is a pity that this knowledge is slowly fading away.

Sasha, you have a good woman who can catch fish and not be adverse to handling teh fish once caught. She learns to split fire wood and helps to cook the food and later gather the mushrooms. Most of the modern american women are not able or wiiing to do all of that. I also noted that when you were mushroom hunting, there is cover that grows out there, the same type as is here in the states. It is called "red clover". The red blossoms can be used either fresh or dried for tea and is a tasty tea that is good for you too. I use it here.
