Not sure if this is a regular trip for you but until very recently I commuted 55 miles to Derby each day (then 55 back). I began on a Honda 125 Varadero, but ended up on an NC750X-DCT which gave me 100mpg if I went steadily. I got used to the crap British weather raining almost every day. No longer do the commute as work locally now and only ride for pleasure these days.
@@taydan04 no worries, I'm gonna go to Western-super-mare and hopefully before 2024, my bike is due a service and the miles will help it get there lol 😆
Here I am, wondering whether a 125 is enough for my 30 min commute while you're casually doing a 6 hour trip on one. Guess everything's possible with some determination.
A 125 can be very surprisingly capable! Right up until you need to go uphill on a national speed limit road. You’ll start to feel like a bit of an obstruction in those cases. ^^
@@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne yeah the NC looks like a nice bike. Just passed my Mod 2 on Tuesday and am hoping to be picking myself up a Tiger 660 very soon. :)
Haha. If any of these roads are part of your regular commute then I’m jealous! Even if my little 125 struggles quite allot with the longer hill climbs. I still enjoyed the route immensely. Even with the English rain. :)
@@taydan04 thank you so much! Nice videos! Im going to get my cb125f this year and, just like you, i want to record my trips haha, congrets on the triumph!
I have been with my 2018 CB 125 f on a Trip from Berlin to Würzburg 530km in a row on twisty roads with one break at half of the way no pain or thomething else. 4 days later way back 😂
They aren’t particularly suited to the cold in general tbf. On the return trip to Cov in this vid I do end up holding on to the engine while stopped at some temp lights in order to defrost them a little. Haha
There were many options to filter in the first 30 mins, idk why you didn't take them. Maybe you could inform me what made you not want to make those decisions?
When you're bombing along completely oblivious of cameras and suddenly spot a speed camera too late and you're in 40, you think "oh fffuuuccckkk". Then you realise you're on a tiddler and you're only doing 36mph. Phew if I'd be bollocksed on my old cb500.
Fair play to you, that is savage commuting! Especially on a 125.
I had the older model and i loved it. Great bike, props to you for doing this man.
Riding in such unfavorable conditions. I admire your determination. Well done you.

Wish I'd of known you was going to Bristol, I'd of gone with you and headed off to Western-super-mare afterwards. Cool vid though fella 👌 🤙🤟
Tbf I didn’t know I was going to Bristol until the day before. Very last minute business trip haha.

Some people say the UK is a small country. They haven't ridden a 125 here! 👍😎
you are going the same speed regardless to be fair

Best bike I ever owned for commuting was the Honda NC750X-DCT. 100mpg on a run, never less than 70mpg. Great riding position too.

Ooh...nice one. Let me know how you get on. They certainly get good reviews.@@taydan04
@@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne Looks really similar, at least at a surface level, to the V-Strom 650 I was eyeing as a first bike. I'll check it out.
on a 125, crazy man lol
Other than the hill climbs she did alright! Haha
Going to Bristol is he... travels along my commute, goes past my house...

Oh my god as if I know the exact street you set off from lol .. An Ex lived at the top end of that close lol
1:39:50 love hear you singing :))
Hey, what is the camara used in this vid? How did you manage to record 3 hours straight?
It’s a GoPro hero 11. I use a power bank in my jacket pocket plugged in to the camera for longer recordings. :)

Is that kilometers or mph on the speedo?
That’s MPH bud. :)

How much did you spend on fuel for this trip

Don't your hands get cold with those big holes in your gloves next to the thumbs?

this model have ABS?
I believe it is available with ABS in some markets but mine didn’t. It did have linked breaks though. :)
