I love to see someone else taking the humble CB125F out for a spirited ride instead of just putting around town. This bike offers so much more than just an economical run around the shops. Get it out on roads like this and it becomes a whole new level of fun!
hello fans of small superbikes, I have this same machine and I use it for courier work and for trips far and near. So far, my longest trip in one day was 540 km from Bratislava to Trieste, and the longest trip lasted three days and was 1300 km. But I can easily cover about 300 km on a trip. The traveling speed is best between 70-90 km/h, the bike goes well for the fact that I weigh 105 kg. I have a license for big bikes, but I decided to try a 125 and I enjoy it more than a big bike. I also tried the front larger shield, but it didn't work, the bike has good wind protection at the base. I already know the rpm, so I don't need a gauge, but I have bought a digital one if I decide to. A sports air filter is also included in the plan. The only improvement is a 15-tooth chain wheel instead of 14, now the speedometer shows exactly according to GPS, it gives the feeling of a bigger machine and the revolutions are reduced, which will remain the same at a certain speed, but you will go faster by 5 km/h. Max speed, power or acceleration will not decrease at all. I can still recommend an additive from liqui moly to the oil, with each change, my personal feeling is that the engine runs smoother, quieter, and I don't believe it myself, but I really think that the strange sound at high revs and high demand has also disappeared, such as grunting. Thank you, many happy kilometers and greetings from Slovakia.
This bike can be great fun on the right road even as legal speeds. Great sound. U would find the bike to be noticeably more flickable with just a few liters in the tank.
I like the country roads in the UK! Seems like you can ride for hours/ miles on the winding roads at comfortable speeds before you get to a major intersection/ village... ( Keep the gas tank full... might be awhile before you reach a gas station... ) :) !
Just about to hit my first 1k miles on my CB125F, I cant help but notice that little ticking noise in the background, it seems to be present here too. Is that a normal thing for this bike or is it indicative of a problem?
some of the noise in the video is probably caused by the wind hitting the bag with the mic in it or the mic moving around. I don’t notice it while riding
My 23 plate hits an engine limiter of 71mph every time. I use this for work which is all 70mph roads, realistically you are looking at any speed between 55mph - 65mph but mostly in the middle of the two.

Great insight. It’s a lovely machine!
Thats a fine ride! The F is not a lame duck, on the contrary. Kudos Honda, once again!
Thanks!

No you wouldn't, John! That's like saying it'll go faster if you don't eat lunch!
Great to see it's not just me that rides in the countryside I've never riden mine in town ive got a scooter for that. 😊

Gotta try and pin down whatever's causing that rattle! Maybe it's just the zipper or something? But otherwise the sound you're getting is excellent!
Thanks, I’m on it but already cut off the zippers 😃
Top speed this bike?
60mph
