As a 56-year-old woman, I never thought I’d be looking to a young person for dressing tips, but your timeless style has been such an inspiration. Thank you for injecting some confidence and purpose in my life. You have NO idea how your videos can sometimes help me get out of bed.

Greetings from over the pond! 🇺🇸 You are perfectly correct, Michelle!
I am a feisty 70 years old and wanting to be stylish has been my "frivolous" mantra since I can remember. The fact that I was born and raised in Italy facilitated the whole process.
Lydia you are all around excellent, your style and pieces are so tasteful, and I adore the accent - I have a friend from the Midlands who sounds just like you! Thanks for all the sound advice, every year I get fixated with a particular color - or non color - at my age I cannot do black or navy around my face anymore, it looks so dreadful and funereal. So I switched to neutral grays and blush for tops and darks for bottoms. I worked in the clothing industry, I sew and know fabrics. You are correct about proportions, colour, draping and weight all the time! When I go shopping for clothes I ask myself: "Would Lydia approve of this?". Yeah, you are this good!

I love the idea of choosing 3 different styles, which means there is something there for everyone.
Also, giving subscribers a chance to try a different style, when knowing what to pair it with.
What’s not to love about these type of videos, well done Lydia and thank you, for all your efforts.

Your channel is really one of the most helpful fashion channels out there. I love how you keep your outfits stylish but effortless at the same time. I was wondering if you would consider doing a video on how to look elegant and put together while wearing sneakers? Like what sneakers to wear and how to combine outfits, it would be very helpful for us who wanna look elegant while running errands. Have a nice day everyone

Lydia, your videos have been a blessing to my life 🤍 I’ve received so much clarity about my style and it’s been easier and so much more exciting getting dressed in the morning! I think it’s when you get specific and go into more detail that helps paint an even clearer picture about our wardrobe and style.
I’m a newer subscriber (1-2 months) but I love looking at older videos and seeing the evolution of your style, and it’s so beautiful to see 🥰 Your passion for fashion and style is so authentic and practical and you express that through your content so seamlessly; you’re not like every other fashion TH-camr.
Oh, and Tim edits your videos so well! He’s definitely an asset, for sure! Hope all is well with you all ☺️

Hi Lydia. I think you explain the do’s and dont’s of how to style pieces together so well and I find them invaluable. By showing us the outfits of before and after, it’s so clear to see how your advice works really well and gives us clear examples. I love any video that you create but lessons with Lydia are so helpful and I’m certain many of us appreciate them. I would be interested in more in depth styling videos too but not to the exclusion of the more generic ones. Take care 🧡🍁🍂

This makes so much sense. That's why I've never been that into capsule wardrobes, you need so much variety to be able to pair diff lengths of skirts/pants.
Could you also include a skirt that ends just below the knees or on the knees? Most of my skirts are like that and I find them the most difficult to style in my wardrobe.

I really enjoy these do's and don't videos. Seeing it really drives the point home and makes sense. I can really see how one piece works and another piece doesn't. Thank you for sharing! I really enjoy how you take a staple in your wardrobe and style it many ways.

Deep dives are good! I learned a rule of thumb from another fashion youtuber that you should never buy a piece that you can't style at least 3 different ways with something you already own. Great for managing your closet and not wasting money on things you end up never wearing. Love your style and copy a lot of your outfit ideas. Chic and classic. Thanks.

Very helpful! I wear dresses and skirts probably 75% of the time, and had been struggling with proportions of shoes/skirt length etc for cooler months. These are pretty straight forward combinations to try. Also thinking that if I don't want to tuck in or belt a sweater, a short sweater of a similar length might achieve a similar visual effect.

I am homeless because of hurricane Ian in FL, USA. I had to rush to get my things out of my house and I packed an “ clothing items I can’t live without” box and an “clothing items I can live without box”. In the whirlwind, I switched the boxes and now I have to live with my least favorite items. I’ve been watching your videos and I am so inspired to look at these neglected pieces with a different eye because of your great videos and specific advice.
Also, you were saying in this video how you think you have trouble describing some of your thoughts. I think you do a great job articulating your meaning. For example, when you explain the “awkward amount of leg” that makes it very clear that people should consider that amount of leg shown can be awkward.
You have a special gift. I had a personal stylist for a while and you are much much better than she was. You are an artist! Congratulations on your success.

Hi Lydia, love this type of video and these tips help a lot. Could you address the issue of tucking in knitwear if different weights and lengths at some point? I often pick shorter or slightly cropped knitwear partly because there isn’t so much fabric to tuck in. In your first example I would struggle to tuck anything but the thinnest knitwear into a skirt made of a thinner fabric because of the bulging tucked-in fabric that results. Also, yes I would love more in depth videos about specific pieces. 😃

Thank you, this is super helpful! The point about keeping similar hem lengths was interesting to me, I had never thought about it that way.
Yes to doing a more in depth video, and I would also love a similar video to this on how to style scarves! How to tie them and place them in relation to the clothing depending on shape, size and weight/material, and also your advice on which style of scarf to wear with different necklines or coats.

This is a very helpful topic. I would love to see more on a pencil skirt that has buttons down the front. Your videos are so helpful and I appreciate them very much! ❤️

Your descriptions and images were perfect! This was super helpful, and helped name the mistake I have been doing with my shoes (hem not meeting shoes). Thank you from Austin, TX!❤️
