I’d just come in from the garden, I’ve just got over Covid and now got shingles, trying not to feel sorry for myself…..then up popped the lovely Lydia….you raise my spirits even though I am older, I adore your style and videos, ignore any silly comments, not worth the room they take in your brain space, listen to your heart…always!!! …happy summer ❤️
Finally there's someone talking about the different shapes of loafers and the different visual effects they bring. Thanks so much Lydia.❤Queen of Details.
I love the Sarah Flint "Rosie" loafer (very expensive, though), but when viewing a pair on a celebrity in the news, even they looked heavier than I imagined they would; so, yes, even the tiniest of details bring visual effects you might be surprised by! In that respect, one's full-length mirror is super important!
Too much minute details of shoes Let’s see more variety in different shape/type of shoes . Trainers can be very heavy looking But she’s good on styling
You’re such a beautiful breath of fresh air. Your content is so well organize to express your point of style techniques. I’m 70 yrs old and fascinated with your choices of fashion and was raised with quite the similar mindset. I laugh at the trends that says minimalist, classic and old money. That’s been my style all my life. Great job of sharing updated trends with a classic twist.
Keep doing exactly what you are doing, Lydia. Negative comments come from jealous, insecure people who probably have very little going for them. Love your work.
I have learned so much from you, Lydia! It is a pleasure to be part of your TH-cam community. Disregard negativity as it isn't worth it. Thank you for all of your hard work! We appreciate it!
Brilliant content. As they say, the devil is in the details. You covered the finer subtleties that really make all the difference in the finished look... those that make it a "pass" or "fail." So appreciate the extra care and thought you put into guiding us! Thank you as always, Lydia. So pleased to be a member of your community. ❤
Christine, what a great comment; every word spot on! Yes indeed, pass or fail, which is why using a full-length mirror is so important. It's like a good friend that tells you the truth, so look carefully!
Thank you! Yes, shoes are always tricky. I have a good eye for knowing what doesn't work, but I don't always know why. This is such good information. I love your videos, Lydia.
What I love about your channel is that it doesn’t feel ostentatious, it is about really good advice that is sound. I have really taken onboard a lot of what you have advised, and I feel like I am getting my own sense of style back, so thank you ❤
As soon as I saw your top, I loved it! Thanks for letting us know its history and even though it is a neutral shade your lipstick brings in the burnished sun baked shades that look so fresh right now. In fact your whole make-up palette does. I have been watching your channel for a while now and I have finally got a closet full of clothes that I feel good about wearing and ideas about how to make my outfits personal. I am buying less and putting more thought into my purchases. I added a red bandana tied at my neck to a very simple navy blue linen dress for a Memorial Day party and it made the dress stylin' and perfect for the party. I never would have had the thought (or had the nerve) to do that before watching you.
I’ve unsubscribed from so many TH-camrs lately and I think you’re actually the only fashion TH-camr left that I’m subscribed to, apart from my friends. I love how you don’t push us to buy things all the time, even your ads feel very organic, and it’s purely about the outfits and the styling whatever your budget. Love all your content!
I read this comment straight after unsubscribing from another channel who only shows ridiculously priced items. I love m and m personal styling as well though I love how she shows real life women of different shapes in different outfits. Definitely my two favourite channels.
Hi Lydia! Since I discovered your videos, I don't feel the need to follow any other stylist. you're the best and you made me realize what I want and what I don't want. It's huge. Thank you very much. Lots of love and support!!
I am sorry if you have experience hate. It breaks my heart. Making a choice to handled it with a beautiful spirit makes you kind and compassionate. You win. Love your channel. 💕🙏🏻
I spotted the dress on the rack, and kept waiting excitingly for u to dress it up 😍 Colours suit u ! I remember across the years every summer that u add some colour, coloured printed sets, pink dresses, .. etc. 😉 I am a colour girl, yet love neutrals too, so u can imagine how excited I am when u wear them 😂 The devil is in the details 👌🏼 U nail 'em every single time ! I always say Lydia is the queen of proportions 😍👏🏼
I lost my memory in 2019 and have literally learnt so much from watching this channel. All my clothes mix and match and I get new inspiration everytime you upload. So thankyou to you too❤
Really great video, Lydia - super useful - and I speak as one of your older subscribers (68 and counting!). Love your videos - have a great weekend and enjoy the sun that has finally arrived in the UK!
Hi Lydia! Another fantastic video! I love that you aren't so designer heavy in the clothes you present. I can actually find and afford many of these outfits. Thanks for that! Your style is always relatable and wearable.
Love all of your looks. And I agree you can tell which shoes can go with an outfit. Just by the contrast of the outfit and how it looks. Love your style. It's very classy and beautiful. Thank you Lydia for sharing! Sending you, Lydia and everyone here love, light and good deeds.
This is one of the most helpful videos! Shoes can really make or break your total look. Your modeling and explanation is a perfect formula to follow for summer dresses. Thanks, Lydia. You’re the best!!😊
Happy Birthday Lydia! I've been watching you since 2019 when you turned 24. You enriched my style and confidence on my look so much. A true influencer. Wish you all the best🎉
Here for the quality of the videos and also how you talk about not having things or buying, rather then explaining what goes together texturally, what makes sense to have longterm and so on. Really from the angle of teaching fashion, appreciate it
I have just joined to your subscribers after watching few of your videos. Waw, such an elegant, young woman with right manners. Happy to see so fresh and smart content in the world if tik-tok crazyness. Lydia, what a beautiful name, your advice is very useful and time spent in your channel is worth every second. Greetings from Slovak 40+ girl 😅
Perfect tips and I can use every one. ❤️So often, before a purchase I ask myself, “would Lydia wear that?” It has helped me make better choices every time! You deserve the love. You’re attracting it. ✨💕
Excellent job! I love that you focus on the exponential ways to style solid basic colors: black, white, beige, (gray?). So glad you reviewed shoe styles for summer dressing. Even the right sneaker. Spot on❗🥳 Your work is fabulous❗ Thanks!
All those pieces are beautiful! That dress is gorgeous, the linen skirt I’m obsessed with. Love this shoe tip video, what I would also love to see is maybe more shoe suggestions inserted in the video from Pinterest etc , just to give us more options. I know I’m prob asking too much but IYKYK… Thanks Lydia!
Lovely words at the end of this video. You looked a little overwhelmed - bless you! (Gratitude is wonderful mindset.) I discovered you a few months ago. I was fed up feeling that other women always looked more put together than me. Like they knew a secret and I wasn't privy to it! You would think someone in their late 40's could dress themselves.....I couldn't. But I can now. A wardrobe review and edit - tbh I have alot of the right pieces, I just couldn't put them together very well. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I can see your audience spans many ages, which must be wonderful to know. Keep em coming girl. You are doing a wonderful job.
You always give such practical information. I am one that loves color and design, it is what I taught before I went into fashion. You look wonderful in everything! I always look forward to your blogs. Negative people are like black paint which drowns out the light.
Another fantastic video... thanks Lydia! You have helped me, educated me so much over the time I have been following you. My style is improved and I look and feel so much more together! I look forward to every new video you upload! Thanks so much!!!
You deserve all the nice subscribers you have :) you give incredible style advice and your style is so relatable, I feel many minimalist-ish youtubers style eventually becomes too eccentric. My style is even more casual than yours but I always learn something from you so thank you!
Thank you so much Lydia, I've discovered your channel a few months ago and your advice helped me so much. I get compliments on my look all the time now and that used to never happen. I feel so chic and polished now. THANK YOU Could you please make a video on how to recognize quality in clothes, shoes, etc ?
Summer just finished for me, and I found the Converse slip on trainers/sneakers great for lighter outfits. They are cut much lower on the foot than lace ups & go with pretty much everything summery.
I think that part of the shoe you forgot the name, is the tongue (I might be mistaken) lip is close enough. 😊 I love your chanel and always look forward to watch it.
I love your channel. It is super helpful and so easy to adapt to all ages. My mini skirt days are over but the style advice is invaluable. Never mind the meanies!!!♥
Lydia, you are so right about the black loafer. I had on a pair last weekend just like the one you were showing us, and I had beige linen slacks and a black top and black blazer, but when I looked in the mirror at the mall, I thought, No, no, no. these loafers are too wintery/chunky for this outfit. With the top stitching, the tongue detail and the larger heel. I put them away until Autumn when I got home. I didn't realize why they didn't work; I just knew they were not right. I thought... like you just said, maybe another more streamlined black loafer or even a lighter color loafer would look better. Thank you for pointing that out. I am just glad I didn't wear them with a beige skirt. Also, last weekend I had on a puffy mini dress (blue stripe instead of flower print) and I was having an awful time choosing the correct shoe. I do not know why it was so hard for me to choose. My husband was waiting for me to go out and I just wasn't getting it correct. I finally choose a nude sandal with a small heel. That looked OK. But so glad you went into detail about why the nude flat sandal was best. Thank you again and thank you for being so helpful to us. We all appreciate your hard work. I am so glad you don't have a lot of hateful trolls.
I have come across your videos and I love the way you present different outfits. I have seen other fashion presents but I find most of them are frumps. You obviously have a well developed style of dressing which suits your personality and physic. It is a pleasure to watch your videos as well as a lot of fun. I am an older lady so I wouldn't wear a miniskirt however, at your age and with your physic it looks amazing!
Wow, Lydia -- this is the kind of nuanced advice one only expects to get from heaven! (It's a video to listen to repeatedly!) Re: the light-colored, two-strap flat sandal (for the short skirt), I'm only 5'2 so would look for a heel for elevation, BUT a thin, broader heel (rather than a kitten) to keep the look casual -- or a slight platform sandal with thin straps (which will take some searching!) -- or just wear a flat sandal like you show. Thank you!!!
Ok, I saw the chunky trainers with the black dress and thought oh no she has lost the plot! Then she brought me back into the moment and I remembered she was showing us what doesn’t work. Definitely spot on with the choices.
Hi Lydia! Just to let you know, I have been following and learned a lot from you since 2 years or more! Thank you for all these subjects like the type of shoes to choose! Martine from Canada.
❤ I almost didn’t watch this and it taught me so much! I’m loving your videos! By chance I saw a really early video of a holiday you did with your husband and was intrigued by your sense of fun personality. It’s lovely to see that in your more recent videos 😁 a fan in New Zealand 💞
Hi, Lydia Thank you so much for great tip and ideas it's very helpful that I able to build my basic woredrop.... I always confused about it before so Thanks again God bless you and your family health and happiness and many success ❤🥰🌻
So nuanced and helpful. This gave me new ideas for my existing wardrobe which I love! Loved the thank you at the end and the dress was a nice surprise 🙂
I love the linen shell you’re wearing! It’s fitted so well and hard to find. I have an old one from Talbots that’s lined! and have been looking for another one for years now.
Great video Lydia! I especially liked the introduction because some people may see you and think I can't wear what she wears, or she would look great in a gunny sack. Ha, ha. And they miss the point that they were looking for help. And one of the things that you do a great with is sharing styling tips that can be used no matter what size you are, body shape, or age. In fact, I think of your content as advanced styling but maybe that's because I have been watching for some time. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your styling advice, it’s so helpful. I feel so sad that dhl lost my Nak-d Fashion package. I had ordered many of your pieces and was looking forward to everything . I am still hopeful that somehow the order will show up. 😅
Love this video Lydia. You are the best for my fashion inspiration. The lip was a good guess but It's called the tongue of the shoe. Ty you for your ongoing fabulous content.
Wonderful content! I really appreciate your attention to little details, namely with the loafers. I have two different pairs: a dark brown color with the Sezane style crunchiness and a nude pair with the Tod’s shape. I find that my nude and more delicate-style loafers are far more versatile in the warmer months compared to my chunky loafers, which are more versatile in the fall and winter months, just based on styles and coloring between seasons. When I first started perusing my personal style, I didn’t realize that having the styles BOTH of loafers and for trainers alike, would make such a difference! I love to play fling-girl dress-up to figure out how to style things and how I like them styled. I do wish I could find a delicate summer sandal that also had good support… I guess the two don’t really go hand in hand. I’ve always been a barefoot person, so flat sandals are okay, but it would be great to have a supportive pair to wear for longer periods of time. I certainly do love contrasting elegant pieces with casual! It certainly makes the piece I adore wearing for the fun of it much more practical and suitable to daily life. P.s. You have such lovely, toned arms! I would love to know what you do for fitness and if you participate, what fitness clothing you enjoy.
Love your channel its so helpful. Sometimes when I pick an outfit I think "this doesn't look right" but dont always know why or what to do about it. Since watching your channel and listening to explanations im making much better outfit choices. Thanks so much❤ x
Your styling advice is valuable across all the generations.
I am 64 and your fashion channel is my favourite.👗
Yes - I am almost 80! I can't wear minis, but can wear a lot of things that she shows...
I think exactly the same! ❤
Very similar here, too! Wonderful styling advice, I love Lydia's channel. 😊
Me too, am 80 and love this UT. Learn something every time. Thanks Lydia you're a doll.
My favorite too! I’ve been following her advice and feel so much more confident about shopping for clothes!
Only relatable fashion youtuber there is! You do a great job of keeping things real and you have impeccable style!

Alexx Coll also has great videos. I find their styles to be similar and enjoy watching them both!
Love this channel and M and M personal styling she shows different women with different shaped bodies.
This 60 year old English lady exiled in Greece really appreciates your time and effort with these wonderfully helpful videos. Thank you.x

I agree with you; the kind of shoes you pair your outfit is fundamental. Thank you for the ideas!
Pa i laik vidi da su crne teske cipele za jesen, a bele letnje i lagane, sta tu ima da se objasnjava, bespotrebno
Your explanation of why one loafer’s stitching changes the heaviness of the shoe is exactly why we love you.
I'm 63 and I've been following you for about 2 years now. Love your minimal, casual chic style.I find it comfortable and versatile.❤

Great video. You have answered absolutely all my questions. I used to have many doubts about shoes/skirt combinations, but not anymore.
I really enjoyed how detailed this was! ESPECIALLY when you were describing the two loafers, so stellar!

Perfect tips and I can use every one. ❤️So often, before a purchase I ask myself, “would Lydia wear that?” It has helped me make better choices every time! You deserve the love. You’re attracting it. ✨💕
Great style advise that is timeless. Thank you from Australia. I thrifted a Massimo Dutti 3/4 wool coat for $ 50 Aust. It's an absolute classic.
Excellent job! I love that you focus on the exponential ways to style solid basic colors: black, white, beige, (gray?). So glad you reviewed shoe styles for summer dressing. Even the right sneaker. Spot on❗🥳 Your work is fabulous❗ Thanks!
Great tips! So many people get shoes wrong. Seeing the comparison is very helpful. I just can’t get my head around the enormous blazer!

Everything looks absolutely fantastic on you, especially as you are so slim!!! Love the white & tan look that you embrace too.
So appreciate what a design eye you have. As a designer myself I so respect your knowledge and attention to detail 😊
Your shoe choices are spot on. With me being super short, the long skirts and blazers would not work but, love your suggestions.
I really appreciated how deep you went on the specific details of each shoe! Would love more videos like this
Perfect timing and could listen to you go on and on any day.
Great tips as always. You have an artists eye - as you point out details like line breaking colors and weight. Great styling advice here!
Summer just finished for me, and I found the Converse slip on trainers/sneakers great for lighter outfits. They are cut much lower on the foot than lace ups & go with pretty much everything summery.
Such a great alternative to the Sambas! I find the same thing!
Okay Mrs. Neutrals: You look absolutely adorable in that colorful floral dress!🤩❤
LOVED eveything, all sugestions. However, I admit I fell in love with the last dress. ❤🎉😊
I think that part of the shoe you forgot the name, is the tongue (I might be mistaken) lip is close enough. 😊 I love your chanel and always look forward to watch it.
How refreshing to see you in that flower dress ❤ I agree it is nice to wear sometimes out of my minimal norm occasionally!
I love your channel. It is super helpful and so easy to adapt to all ages. My mini skirt days are over but the style advice is invaluable. Never mind the meanies!!!♥

Agree with all apart from the gold heels with the linen skirt- I thought that looked so fab!

Omg yes 🙌🏻 more please! The shoes really make or break an outfit. Shorts? Linen pants? Maybe the most universal shoe?
Ok, I saw the chunky trainers with the black dress and thought oh no she has lost the plot! Then she brought me back into the moment and I remembered she was showing us what doesn’t work. Definitely spot on with the choices.
he support is because you are great at what you do and the passion is palpable. ❤ Lydia
Great advice - thank you. It is great to see the contrast between what works and what doesn’t. 😊
I just adore your style
You have a phenomenal influence on my wardrobe. More power to you and thank you ❤

Perfect I have some of those type outfits and this gives me the confidence to wear your suggestions with them .Thank you
She shows so many different details that I didnt see before. Thank you
Power on, good woman. You are helping many.
Thank you for your styling advice, it’s so helpful. I feel so sad that dhl lost my Nak-d Fashion package. I had ordered many of your pieces and was looking forward to everything . I am still hopeful that somehow the order will show up. 😅
🎉Lydia, thanks for the great ideas on how to pair shoes and clothing for a nice Spring- Summer look
Love this video Lydia. You are the best for my fashion inspiration. The lip was a good guess but It's called the tongue of the shoe. Ty you for your ongoing fabulous content.
Brilliant video Lydia thank you,🙏 shoes are always so tricky!
You look just awesome, Lydia. Happy to see and hear you as always. Great content too!🫶🏻
Wonderful content!
Light and light color. Got it
