I love Hypnobirthing and have had 4 children without pain medication. But for my 3rd birth my midwife wanted me to surround myself with positive birth affirmations so I tried putting adorable little cards all over my birth space and it stressed me out! I am a sad beige millennial. 😂 Clutter increases my anxiety. I ended up taking everything down before my birth and returning my room the peaceful oasis that I needed. So all of that to say, if this doesn’t resonate with you, skip it. I always watch lots of positive birth stories so my kids can be excited about labor/delivery rather than fearful but again, do what helps you. My friend was really put off by watching birth videos because she hates immodesty and felt like it was a trigger for her husband. It still doesn’t make sense to me but it was causing her distress to try and emulate what worked for me. Skip it! All of these are great tips but only implement what is helpful. You can have a beautiful, calm birth experience with whatever tips are effective for YOU! ❤
I keep getting told about the pain. I'm 12 weeks now and learning about hypnobirthing, but my mum and sister in law tell me to go for the epidural to make things less painful. This can't be the only way out of pain surely?
The hypnobirthing digital pack is really good.. I’m 39 weeks and it’s helping/helped me with breathing techniques, and just simply having the knowledge as I am going to be a first time mum.. also the positive affirmations are 👌🏻
I did Hypnobirthing for my first and awaiting my second. Having a doula that was really invaluable for my first birth as she helped me move and ease the surges.
Rather than thinking about birth being painful, think about it being powerful! Mindset really is everything and Hypnobirthing will really help with that ☺
Nothing can make birth painless, it's really important that you accept that, otherwise you may expect a painfree birth.. which is impossible. You can use breathing techniques to cope and keep calm but you will still experience pain. Epidurals can help massively but they can also fail. Good luck.

Thankyou for the advice I feel it’s as important the husband learns and focuses the same as the mum
