The making plans point is so underrated. I used to have a strategy when I was single to never ask for a girl's number for the sake of having her number. Instead make plans and she will automatically give you her number to help facilitate the plans she made with you. Flake rate plummeted when I started doing that.

That's a great example. A lot of us may consider the challenge of trying to get the number with no game plan of how to move forward. Also, she doesn't have an idea of what the plan is. When you make plans, she's more interested, and as you mentioned, the flake rate plummets a lot!
