Dude i was watching this video and i looked at the scenery and said "hold on...is this fucker on zero street" and sure as shit. Bro i used to live in ft Smith that's crazy you've got like 8k subscribers. Small world man
I disagree with the idea that every rider WILL have an accident in their first year. I used to teach the MSF courses, and the only accident I had was after twenty years of riding, when an inattentive driver hit me and totaled my bike. High sides, low sides, dumping stoppies or wheelies only demonstrate the rider is in a situation beyond the conditions, his capabilities, or possible immaturity.
1 thing i disagree with is when u said You're Going To Wreck the bike....thats complete bullshit because after 10 years of riding there hasn't been a wreck yet. and for you and anyone else to put that fear in a beginners head while they ride is completely irresponsible. do wrecks happen? yes, are they avoidable? in most cases yes. You might as well tell everyone you see riding "be careful because today you might fall"...sounds dumb to say right?....exactly....close calls happen and even those can be prevented as much as possible. you should be encouraging people to ride within their skill limit and have fun. i completely agree with everything else u said tho so im not taking that away from you. great video and keep up the good work! #DeucesDown
You very well might go down if you buy a 1000 within 3 months of riding and then take corners at stupid speeds you aren't comfortable with, guy makes some valid points based on his experience
TwistTheWrist well, actually I could get more coverage but yes, my ride, accessories, probably even my glasses if they got fucked, the other driver if it's my fault, and a million towards medical... so if you get in an accident it's great. if you're like me and you're way too cautious/slow on your vintage ass low CC Vtwin, then it's alot of money for peace of mind I guess. it's mandatory up here, about as little coverage as you're allowed to buy.
Id love a response from any riders out there, i am 6'2 and 215 lbs and i dont think starting on a 250 or 300 would last very long before i want that upgrade, also all the bikes people are selling, the 600 to 650 range are cheaper or the same as the 250 to 300 cc bikes. Totally new to riding any help would be appreciated :)
chickenguy95 just buy a bigger bike that isn't a supersport perhaps? Like an mt07 for instance. That bike also has tons of torque, more than an r6 and can easily do wheelies and you won't look too big for it! It was the bike I wanted, but k ended up with a 300. When that's said it takes sometime to outride a 300.. on the straight anyone can can accelerate hard, but in the Twisties it's different..
adelachaudh a 100% correct I was going to recommend the FZ 07 or MT 07 (same bike) perfect starter bike. You will be able to grow into it instead of out growing it. It has enough power to keep you happy and not enough power that will kill you. Perfect starter bike. I know a few ppl who bought one of these. One guy used it for 2 seasons and bought a gsxr 750 and the other one actually liked the bike so much he just bought the FZ 10 I think. The biggest FZ they make.
TwistTheWrist I just saw your reply. And watched you other video saying you live in VB. If you see and ugly yellow bike with the left side scraped to shit that's me. Haven't ridden much lately but need to.
u were bored after 2 months having a 600cc, have you been riding other bikes before? I do not have any eperience in riding a motorcycle and plan to get a 300 for the first year, but everybody I talked to said, you ll gonna outgrow it in a couple of months, maybe even weeks. now I am even a bit more worried, cause I think a 300 for a starter is decent, but kinda sucks if you want something more powerful after already a couple of weeks
omegapsi847 it really depends on how comfortable you are riding. Some people start out on 1000's and are completely fine. Others are not. Go with your gut.
Depends on how much of a speed junkie you are. I started on an older 600 and i have no plans to move up to a 1000 unless I need a new bike and i can snag one for cheaper than anything else. Hell i wish I had a 300 for that ridiculous fuel efficiency. I'm lucky if I get 40 mpg and I know some 300 get upwards of 65-70.
You can start on the 600 and chances are everything will go fine and Im sure you will enjoy it. But I'm actually a pusher for starting on a 250, its dirt cheap, so easy and forgiving to learn on and you can ride the absolute hell out of it. Then when it finally is time to move up its more rewarding and you get to appreciate the 600 a lot more. I started on a ninja 250 no problem, had a friend who started on a ninja 650, he had one accident learning and dropped a couple times, but after that he picked it up fine and has been great since, that being said i could smoke him on his 650 with my 250, all comes down to the rider. Anyways thats my case. Goodluck with what u choose
700$ a year for an R1 is expensive?? I'm gonna pay 540$ for a god damn ninja 250 and that's the best price I got. Fuck Québec and their stupid laws(cuz a ninja 250 is a sport bike for them x(... )
Well ... i started with a 750... a NC750 :) so not that much power. However from what I get so far, every idiot can handle the power of a 1000... on a straight...
haha i bought a 05 R1 .. no experience whatsoever .. and i know ima have to take it slower than a 600.. but better to be safe about it then a dumbass and get killed
My right ear is loving this

All 5 things you mentioned are scary accurate. Especially the pissed off drivers bit!
Is just me or is your check engine light on? I'm not trying to be a know it all but that might be why your bike is hard to start.
Hey Bruce Wayne. The batcave is the other way turn the brightness up
Why’s the image so dark

My first bike 1300cc it was no problem
Dude where are you in Arkansas I stay in Little Rock
My first bike was an R1, idk what you mean by too much power
Yeah bro one of the fastest bikes on earth barely has any power perfect starter
is the Check engine light on, on your bike ? .. sry but was making me wonder and missing stuff haha
Probably should have that engine management light looked at. If you ignore it, it will cause more problems
Wow... 6 months later.
And I quote +TwisttheWrist " Let's Fuck! ". 8:00
17 ima hopefully get a little grom for my first bike maybe a Yamaha grom (looking at the TW200 cauz my dad like to go on trails with his jeep)
In Ontario I pay 3600 dollars a year for a 2003 Vulcan 800, I should move to Arkansas just for that reason.
Jesus Mary and Joseph that's expensive. Is that full coverage?

chickenguy95 I got a ninja 650 and I'm about 6ft and 210 I've had it for a few months and it's been great

That moment you realise you dont even have the license and you just want to ride so bad. 2 years and i'll get my first bike
Hey bro, I’m new to Texarkana, Arkansas. Looking to get some new riding buddies.
I sold all of my bikes but plan to maybe have another one sometime this year. Always down to make new friends
TwistTheWrist sounds good man.
How often are you in the Fort riding around?
Pretty often. I'm actually about to head out right now to shoot Saturdays video.
TwistTheWrist I just saw your reply. And watched you other video saying you live in VB. If you see and ugly yellow bike with the left side scraped to shit that's me. Haven't ridden much lately but need to.
Come say hey if you see me out!
Uk incurance is £1700 a year for a 125cc 2012 your lucky
Good lord batman jump cuts from hell
Am I in the early squad or do you deserve more views?
After the first year the rider becomes dangerous to themselves. They think they know how to ride, and that's when so many crash.
What bike is This? I love that deep v8 vibe
Its an R1
Lmao I almost slipped on a banana peel while backing into a parking spot
