I ended up picking up the Mach 1 (with what I've done, it's kicking around 560 bhp now; 500-ish whp) and it's an absolutely incredible car, my favorite I have ever owned. I would absolutely love to drive a GT350 though, and to this day if a mint GT350 showed up at my door for a trade, I would certainly consider it. I love the styling of the GT350 too.
It’s not only the Shelby name, that Voodoo is what makes the GT350 one of a kind and makes it unique. You will never see a motor like this again in a mustang variant.

I always tell people that if you’re gonna drive a car like a dirt bike, wide open from red light to red light, you gotta do your maintenance sooner than the manuals or recommend interval states. It’s just good upkeep and it helps make any engine or car for that matter last longer and stay healthy. People that think they can do otherwise are usually the ones that complain that a car or truck is junk.

I have the 23 Mach 1 with track/handling pack manual and love it, it's a great car. I think with the handling pack it looks as good and aggressive as the GT350 but i definitely would enjoy either one.

It would have taken your word for it if you drove the Shelby then right after drove the Mach but it’s hard to take your opinion when you only own the Shelby
The Mach 1 with Handling pack is essentially a GT350 with a Coyote. It actually turned a slightly faster lap time at VIR than the GT350. Both great cars but Mach 1 will handle the same while having better reliability. A big misconception is that the Tremec 3160 is stronger than the MT82. It is not. It may shift better but the 3160 likes to blow out 3rd gear when you make real power.

Yea it’s just have to check the oil more than normal cause with our years (2016) they burn oil the newer ones don’t they fixed that issue but check your oil level after a good 2-3 days to stay on top 👍🏾
Theres a reason they stopped the voodoo. It's an awesome engine, but has reliability issues. Realistically, the only thing thats different, is the engine, the brakes and style. The rest of the mech is the same, bar the dront wheel bearings. They're stronger in the Mach 1. Resale is the same, as the Mach 1 name plate, like the 350, is decades old. The comparisons are negligible.
Mach 1 for the reliability. Its also faster around the street due to more torque at lower revs. With the handling package its as good if not better than the gt350 because of the remapped magna ride. The Mach 1 is also $20k cheaper! GT 350s are awesome but the Mach 1 is an overall daily much more so than the GT350.
Mach 1 with 10spd. FBO E85 tune Mach 1 with 10r80 are beastmode. I would put money on the Mach 1 with the 10r80 in a straight line vs GT350 both cars FBO.

Also, the stock GT350 makes about 460 to the wheels while Ford says it makes 526 hp... kind of interesting. Auto Mach 1 makes 410 on dyno. Fact check me if you dont believe it. Ford may just be trying to protect the Shelby name, and replacing voodoo with a non-problematic motor.
For me it’s the Mach 1. I am not buying the car for investment value. Although there may never be another Mach 1 as the Dark Horse seems to take that role. I also like the tried and true 5.0 plus price is better.
I have a C7 Z06 and would get rid of it in a heartbeat for a GT350R. It just isn’t that special of a car. Yeah, it’s fast, but there’s more to driving than just being fast. The car doesn’t really have any character. Just another LS

Another thing that’s overlooked is changing the oil 6 months to a year, if the car is only driven short trips and not very often.

Dyno numbers are irrelevant. They already ran the Mach, DH & Shelby GT350 down the track and it wasn’t even close.
