It is funny that my insurance sales & share trading vertical since 1982 is probably the most profitable in the 11 business verticals I work on & luckily everything I do is now internet based India's largest trade partner is Bangladesh & maybe over time Pakistan could replace Bangladesh?

Fauji fertilizer and all other entities are very productive and contribute to strong the manufacturing base of pak ,the problem is real estate this is not a productive economy...

Your argument wasn't very logical. Dar's policy of artificially inflated currency DOES work against exports. It could have encouraged imports but those are controlled with LC management. It actually jeeps inflation down. That was the case even in 2013-17 period. When the peg goes inflation will increase but that inflation would have existed anyway if the peg wasn't there. To blame the peg for the inflation is not accurate. It delays inflation and does not increase it. The main adverse impact currently of the peg is - lower exports - lower remittances through banking channel. Don't get me wrong. I do not support the peg. I just do not think it is correct to blame the peg for higher I flatiron when it does the opposite.
Id argue that keeping the peg leads to higher inflation in the long run as it reduces medium term productivity, which leads to a larger negative trade balance and a sudden need for large bouts of devaluation. There is no black and white sadly. It definitely encouraged more imports imo. But i agree with you. Did not mean that the peg does not lead to lower short term inflation.

And BISP only covers a tiny portion of population who probably rely on charities already. What about daily wage and private job holders. He should ask his staff once how they are making both ends meet every month.

Sugarcane is not feasible in Pakistan given the water scarcity coming in next years. We should stop sugarcane madness and stop producing sugar as well. We should import sugar altogether and grow something other.
