I had a chance encounter with Micheal in 2004 at a record shop near Lancaster Pa. He was shopping the hard rock lp section and the store owner told me who he was. Ironically in my purchase pile was a cd of Britny Fox's 1st album. Micheal was mad cool and signed it for me
Man I feel kinda bad, Johnny seems like the most genuine guy and just wants the best for everyone but no one is working things out other than him. I would so love to see Dizzy, Mike, and Johnny back together!
@@80sglammetalcast I wish too but I think it will never be happen dizzy and Michael Kelly Smith back in 89/90 fighted with each other on the boys in the heat Tour
Britney Foxx had a great sound and I was impressed. I still play some cuts to this day. Don't know much about these guys I hope they know they still have fans that appreciate them.
Well Johnny d I don't know if you're ever going to read this comment man but I love you guys. I've been listening to you guys for years and to this day I still listen to the songs. They're still in my Pandora playlist and I go back to them from time to time. Long way to live album I have that in my Pandora account and still love listening to it. I wish you guys could get it together and do some shows it would be really nice to see you guys out in the summertime heading over to socal. I remember seeing you guys last in 2016 over at hair Nation fest in Irvine California and I believe you showed up late to that event lol! But it's okay man it was great to hear the few songs you guys played in that whole day was fucking! Awesome. From 12:00 noon till 11:00 at night or maybe it was 12:00 at night a whole day of rock and roll. One of the best outdoor festivals I ever went to to this day and here we are in 2021 it's still ranks as the best festival to me by far. I miss you guys and I miss the band and you guys are needed out there more than ever. Please try to make things work out give it another shot. I know britneyfox.com is down unless somebody took over the domain name I don't know. I don't have any other way of getting a hold of you guys cuz I'm not part of Facebook or any social media other than me being on bands in town but I really want you guys to get back out there. Huge fan West Coast Ronnie here in SoCal.
Last I knew Michael was teaching guitar in Horsham, PA. That was probably 4 or 5 years ago. My son took saxophone lessons in the same store. Got to talk to him on occasion. Nice guy. Always had dad jokes.
Dean Davidson told me over the phone he is done w/ rock music & the predators in it. At first he was very resistant to talk about it but he loosened up and just said "Look man I'm done w/ all that stuff..its over, I had alotta fun but its just done".
I was never a big fan of Britney Fox but I wouldn’t mind seeing them back together. Do what you love until you can’t do it anymore. Bury your old shit before it’s too late.
What was the main issue that lead to Dizzy leaving? Ego? Pride? Narcissism? Drugs and all 3 ? Even the boys from Oasis made it work for a half dozen albums before they called it quits and they would come to blows (while on blow) but they knew they had the world by the balls and road that gravy train to the ground. They ALMOST split after the first album. ALMOST
I hope and pray these guys bury the hatchet and reunite. They're not getting any younger. All this time arguing and not getting along is just time wasted, and nobody benefits from that.
Dean just needed to leave and move on. Honestly it’s sad but I don’t think the philly poofy hair era was for him. People wouldn’t accept that he wasn’t gonna go back to the hair and spandex days so that’s why he disappeared. I would love to see him onstage again but only if he wants to do it. No one should force him to do it.
Dizzy might have made a little bit of money and he don't even know what he had. Maybe he's doing what he wants to do and that's great. But in today's market just think what he could do with the band. Selfish might be a good word to describe that
Whats up johnny , i know you from fragile and buddy cash, i play drums, i was in Oktober, i played with mario parillo , and i know you play for doro now . Just saying hi .
MKS one the most under rated guitarists ever in my opinion, loved his work on every album. I still have them all, had to replace a few cassettes and CDs over the years L0L No one ever sounded right trying to copy Dizzy from first 2 albums, 3rd sounded great with Tommy.
Yeah-he wasn't trying to show off & throw zillions of notes per second like other bands then, allthough i'm sure he had the ability he says much more with his soloing, lots of feeling kind of like Queensryche, not to diss guys like George Lynch or Jake E Lee, love them too! The Vinnie Vincent thing-eh not so much my thing lol
Man I would to hear Rock Revolution as an opener live just one more time and also Over And Out. Get on one of those summer tour packages & unleash The Fox🤘🏼
I bought their self titled album a year after it came and thought WOW this is shit hot . Had a few album's after and I really liked them a lot. Still do now. Thanks to Johnny talking about what happened so we can get idea of what happened. Hopefully 1 day they'll get back again . Thanks Britny Fox for some great tunes
I love Dizzy Dean but you gotta be realistic and say hey this guy hasn't done shit in almost 40 years thats been relevant? Come on dude isnt bullshitting!
What do you mean, Whats the point???? People just like creating you know, we can all write songs for our selves. Not just to become a rock star. Silly statement.
I never agree on one member of the original line up, recruiting some obscure musicians, taking the band name without the approval of the others and take the road. It never sounded good.
That was one of the most honest, heartfelt sounding explanations I have ever heard.

It's awesome hearing from Johnny (one kickass drummer for sure). I love Britny Fox they were an awesome band!!!!
Johnny is super cool and Britny rocKed🤘🤘🤘
I absolutely *loved* this band in the late 1980s, when I was a kid.
I still dig their old tunes.

It is! They were a great band
Weren't you their manager ?
@@markrein8451 Yes
When it comes to imposters I can't blame them for not having to be where they are at.
So much of that Cinderella sound influence with Britny Fox.
Britney Fox was way better than Cinderella to my ears
It's a blast for me then and now...those guys are missing a once in a lifetime opportunity...in my opinion.
Yeah definitely need to reunite. Sounds like some of these guys are done and have no interest

Michael Kelly wanted a reunion but with Dizzy a never happened

Man, that sucks. Johnny seems like such a cool dude.
You couldve asked Dizzy what he thought
Did the original guitarist wear a wig? You always see a headband on his forehead. Just wondering
V VINCENT like huh incognito
Michael teaches guitars
I’m one of his students

Last time I saw a Dean he was shorter and losing his hair
Or he's getting older and losing his hair like most guys, and he's no longer wearing platform boots like he was in the 80s....duhhhh
Actually, Mike and Dean wore full wigs in BF. Only Dee and Billy had real heads of hair.
Dean was doing Black-eyed Susan in 91
what is that?
