@@roymoore3156 Even if the spotlight suddenly shines, nothing much happens without the goods being there. The movie was a Coen brothers movie, with AKUS (inc Dan) being a big part of the sound track. T-Bone had a say in that. George got to pretend he could sing, so he made out well.
Oh, I think his voice rings out and shines perfectly, especially in Union Station. He's just being subtle here. But when the band joined Vince Gil on CMT sessions (?) or unplugged, Dan really sang it. That's a great show btw, and Alison's fiddle break on "Blue Trail of Sorrow", with Dan and Vince singing verses is so good.
Let’s give Dan a nod. When you can’t even hear him harmonizing, he is harmonizing perfectly. (much of the song is like that until the end where he powers it up a little more).
I have earbuds; if you listen closely you can pick him out in the low end. It's close harmony, so he's not obviously lower, but it's there.
And it is beautiful.

Jewel my nephew had the tremendous pleasure of opening for you at the Borland Center in Palm Beach Gardens Fl . The best part is the lovely words you spoke about my nephew that he keeps close by. He was so honored. He is actually a musical prodigy. He was as close to stillborn as a baby boy and miraculously he became a piano master at 7. Thank you Jewel for being such a lovely person and especially for your kind words to my nephew. ❤
Alison is such a pro; knows when to take second chair and in so doing, exalts herself. Notice how she doesn't take her eye of Jewel to make sure she sings in sync with her. Total professionalism!

+Wilson I noticed that as well. I can tell she is really listening from the way she's focused. She's a true professional and does not appear to bring ego to the stage. That is something lovely in any musician -- to be focused on the music.

There is a reason that Dolly Parton always gets Alison to sing harmony in albums-she’s absolutely amazing at it.
Shania Twain toured with Alison too...there's a video with Alison providing backup and beautifully harmonizing...and playing her violin too of course. I really loved the music she made with Robert Plant. She makes everyone better.
Dolly's no slouch in a duet, either. You'd think she'd overpower the other artist, but she's very sensitive.
Alison has the voice of an angel but Jewel has waaaay more voice than most realize. She is classically trained.

I was not much of a bluegrass or country listener that is until I first heard Allison Krauss. She's a goddess. Do y'all know She is the most awarded singer and the most awarded female artist in Grammy history? Pretty amazing.
Yes, she is the most awarded Grammy for a female but Beyonce will soon over time her unfortunately but 2020.

This is one of the very first songs I learned to play. A schoolmate had dabbled with "Folk" and given up; sold me his nylon acoustic for cheap. Still a player, but I hadn't heard this song for so long. I thought it was pretty deep at the time. I learned the Peter, Paul and Mary version. It is a far, far older song.
I am a singer who has had the pleasure of singing beside some very accomplished singers. If you think listening to singers of this level is heartwarming you should sing beside them. And that acapela bit it the end would be absolute magic for each of them.
I used to sing Whiskey Lullaby at lot for karaoke and my goal, when singing with someone of that level, was to leave someone in the audience in tears. It happened often.

What needs to be noticed and appreciated here is each of the people on that stage lowered their personal intensity to blend with the others on stage. There are no individuals in harmony, but in great harmony there are always professionals who put the music above the personality...... beautiful !!
