Don't be afraid to remove it from the packaging if you suspect that there's mischief afoot. Definitely don't wait 2 years to test suspect gold, no chance of a refund Best way to make sure you don't get scammed, buy from a trusted dealer.
It is frustrating that not all bars are in veriscan packages. And the serial number is useless, bc you cannot track anything on the official website. Very easy to get fake bars this way.
One of the best. I was buying from them and Pinehurst until Pinehurst RAN OUT of gold bars. Super fast shipping, 2 days from Liberty in Ca to me in Colorado.
Hi I’ve seen other videos where they have said it’s only larger bar what they fake it just shows you that you’re go to be careful no matter what size bar you buy cheers
I recently purchased a 5g PAMP Suisse bar that does NOT have a serial number on the back. Now I'm super nervous it's a fake. Do these bars exist without a serial number?
Am always paranoid that if i sell legit gold bar to someone he will replace it with a fake one and accuse me of selling fake, any idea of how can that be avoided?
I’ve had that thought too scary! I always like to check buyers feedback as there are too many scammers, also I’d take pictures and clear detailed video when I pack the order for my protection.
Buy gold bars in sealed packaging with paperwork, individual serial numbers on each bar and intricate designs to dissuade forgers. Also a contract between the buyer and seller before walking away would preemptively prevent any future disagreements.
In light of this current administration, I don't want the banks to report my asset purchases to the I.R.S. I simply don't trust the federal government right now.
If one occasionally buys and holds for long periods of time probably the best option. If one does so more often then with experience and equipment then the risk reward ratio may change.

@@Carsmorevlogs I'm very curious; After scratching, burning and bending this bar, they returned your money? Did they require a third party such as an independent appraiser to verify the fraudulence?
That bar is real small its not as if you. Really lost out the biggest problem is all these people that get fakes are usually looking for an unbelievable deal just buy the damm thing from a big company and pay the damm premium and quit being a penny pincher.
Or just buy real bars to begin with. When you buy fractionals in the gram variety, you're getting your O-ring blown out in premiums. Save up a little longer and buy heavier.
Why not just pay the premium from an authorized dealer and have the peace of mind? Crazy how people risk buying off of ebay.
Right i know premiums suck but i rather lose a lil on premium than all of fake bar
Because people are cheap and always try to get a deal it's that simple I only buy natural gold straight from the miner
Agreed!
I would never ever buy gold of ebay
@@jasong8377 how can you buy directly from the mining company?
You should post the sellers info so people can be aware of this scammer.

The color still looks the same from being scratched; however burning it looks different.
I could tell right away it's a fake. I have some 5g bars I bought from Apmex and their not that thick.
Is Apmex a trusted website? Is this where people usually get their bars from? I want to get my first one
@@EseMorro610 yes they're very legit. I buy from them and jm bullion
Really annoying that you can't hold the bar still. Constantly moving it so we can't see it.
Damn thats a thick 5g bar 😂 real PAMP bars stick out in the quality.
I have 3 Pamp 5g bars.
I'm a bit nervous now.
Where did you get it from ?
China was saturating eBay with these things. Very convincing bars at a glance on package.
Probably those to be used as offering for the dead souls in the prayer, as same as fake paper currency
It is frustrating that not all bars are in veriscan packages. And the serial number is useless, bc you cannot track anything on the official website. Very easy to get fake bars this way.
Never understood the point of serial numbers on gold bars, who's actually keeping track of those things?
Saw it in half so we can see the Center.
Chris Teye will try
Good on you for putting this up. Nobody likes bring conned and this video will be helpful for people. Kudos.

Not everything on eBay will be fake I’ve bought many coins there just be extra careful check them or get them checked when they arrive.
I just received a gold bar from them today I was worried to but it looks good

Test with a magnet lol..

Titanium wouldn’t stick either.

if I bought a Perth 10 gram from Apmex I should be fine right
Most likely yes as it’s an reputable seller.
Kuwait puts a mark on all the gold and this mark is done by laser and it is very difficult to imitate it

it's much thicker than my 10 gram bar lol
From the packaging exactly not the same like real one. I have PAMP also. The design gold also not the same like real one
The thickness is a dead giveaway that its fake
How if you scanned the fake one by veryscan application? Is it works?
This one didn’t have veryscan as it was old packaging but the veryscan is good as it makes it harder to fake.

should try a NEO magnet
did you weigh it? thats also a giveaway
Yes only after , but it was in a sealed package when bought.
