He still took the time to suit up, which if he skipped would give him a genuine shot at catching up to Zoom since they were at pretty much equal speed at that point. Barry was arguably even slightly faster after the speed force trip.

He believes that Barry would be just like him if he grew up under similar circumstances. Zoom was forced to watch his father murder his mother, and then he had no one to love and guide him as he grew up.

Ngl i love flash especially s1-3 but this scene legit makes no sense at this moment barry in speed scales higher than zoom it was said zoom was 3 or 4x faster than a mach 2 barry which mean it places zoom around mach 8 when barry beat trajectory his top speed was mach 3.3 when barry got the tachyon device he was 4 times faster than that which barry is around mach 12 so why doesnt he just speed blitz zoom🤦🏽♂️

Like i 💘 season 2! Absolutely LOVE IT.. But i did not like this scene here where Zoom kills Barry's dad because I feel like Barry should have ran and phased through his dad and stoped ZOOM!!!! OR at least tried too. Try something like damn just stand there and watch it happen just like he did in season 3 against savitar when he was getting ready to kill Iris. Now i LOVE THE FLASH im a VERY VERY VERY BIG FAN and never wanna see it END! But sometimes i hate the way the writers write the show

Then he would be no different than Zoom or Reverse flash, letting his poisonous form of anger dictate his actions. And after killing Zoom out of vengeance, it would make it easier for him to do it again.

i'm sorry but the flash used to be sooooo goood ! now it's very mediocre too many cheesy jokes , always giving a good guy speech at the end to make the villain feel bad about the situation. I'm hoping for a season 8 that is reminiscent of the first couple of years.
