Oh you star! My favourite! You are spot on about Cumberland sausage and they are delicious. Cumbria, where they come from is the last county in England before Scotland, so we Scots love them. Mash and onion gravy too! Perfection, and the real deal. That's one of the many things I love about your recipes! You are so authentic and precise. Recipes to be utterly trusted! Thank you Louise ❤
Bangers and Mash is very popular in Australia as well. Luckily, we can get Cumberland sausages in major stores, but I use whatever takes my fancy. It’s a nice change to see a cooking video where all the ingredients are accessible to us.
Ah yes, Kerry gold butter!!! It is so good because the cows are grass fed! They live in green pastures that also have herbs and flowers mixed in the grass. I am actually from Switzerland, and grew up in the alps. Our milk and butter tasted so much better than American bland dairy products.
Great to see a uk dish, i can get my hands on all the ingredients, brought memories back of getting home from school in the colder month's. I would love to see if you could make 'toad in the hole' with the ninja, give it a try and let us know if it works out. Great job keep cooking......
I must say, I'm 62 years old and never heard of Bangers and Mash. But I tried your recipe tonight and it was delicious. Definately a keeper and Will be having this quiet often . Thank you for another great recipe.
I made this tonight and it was SO GOOD! I did 10 minute pressure and my peas were still a little frozen. I put them on steam for 5 min and it was perfect. Thank you for your constant inspiration and amazing recipes, Louise!
Just subscribed, thank you for this great recipe which is an Australian winter necessity along with fresh baked damper bread for sopping up the gravy. With the greatest respect it is comforting to see a TH-cam cook that reflects their audience.
Hi great video, in UK we normally add full fat milk instead of cream in our mash also a bit of black pepper is good, another variation for mash is to add grated cheese to the potatoes just before mashing, cheesy mashed potato is the best comfort food in the world
Louise, hats off to you! Bangers turned out so flavorful it is absolutely perfect thanks to you! I love the way you teach awesome recommend you to everyone...thank you for all the short cuts and tips, your are my FB Ninja Foodi menus at your fingertips greatest of all. Such talent.
Thank you for showing this video Lou. I wanted to know how to make bangers and mash in the foodi, and you've now turned into a mind reader lol. Cheers hen.
My Ninja Foodie 11 in 1 smartlid was delivered today!, im in the UK This looks lovely, we have cumberland sausages everywhere and they are just delish Louise I love your wonderful videos thankyou
Hi Louise Yes, we have Cumberland sausage, however, I would love to get my hands on those amazing hot and sweet Italian sausage you have. Being a “Brit” sausage and mash is one of my all time favourite meals. So comforting. I use any sausage. Pork and caramelised onion is my favourite 😋 Well done on yet another great tutorial. I do appreciate your time. 😘
So glad you come up with a meal just as I'm wondering what I need at the store tomorrow never would have thought of bangers and mash Thursday night dinner perfect
Louise i did this recipe last night for my supper. and it turn out great without cream in the mash I used drop milk and bit butter. Thank you for this Video Louise it thumps up from me.
Good day, sweet Louise, we own the 8 quarts Minja, everything was perfect, we did peas and broccoli. My husband is Russian, and he never tasted this before, since the very first time I did it with your amazing receipt, we do it once in a while. We loved many of your receipts, you are always such an absolutely gracious lady, sweet Louise. Sometimes, he is asking me for a specific ones we did before, of course, it is perfectly done with your instructions. Thank you, so much Louise, sending you virtual hugs from upper NY state.
It is so good! I can certainly see where the gravy could have been thicker. I read up on that (Google) and I saw where people said it was on the thinner side.
Those are some impressive sized onions! Over here in the UK they always seem much smaller. Thank you so much for your channel... it made me want to get a Foodi and I did my first recipe today (your One Pot Spaghetti - it was the easiest and best ever!)...you've given me so many meal ideas its greatly appreciated!
Can't wait to try this one. I actually smoked some chicken in my Foodie. I used liquid smoke in in a fire king cup on the bottom and the chicken on the upper rack.
Louise, I wanted to come back here and tell you something! I had leftover banger gravy from making your Bangers and mash last week? Well, it was SO delicious I couldn't bear to let it go to waste! So I used to make a kinda-sorta stroganoff! It was DELICIOUS!! I sauteed onions and ground beef, with minced garlic(I added salt/pepper/garlic powder)....cooked egg noodles(wide) until al dente and set aside...after ground beef mixture was done, I added in the egg noodles with about a cup or so of beef broth..made a corn starch slurry, added that..added a little bit of milk(maybe a 1/2 cup?)..added in mixed veggies and cooked it all until veggies were warmed through and noodles had softened a little bit more and voila! It was SO GOOD! The only thing I was thinking afterward that might've just made it that much better? Was a can of cream of mushroom soup..I will be using that next time..I served with dinner rolls! My husband loved it!! I did the entire thing in my NF but I am VERY new to the NF so I definitely did things out of order and next time I would make it a little easier on myself, but I think I'll save that embarrassment and not disclose those details 🤣😉
hey Louise, In our house we make our own sausage. I took some polish sausage out of the freezer last night and this will go perfect with this dish. As always I am excited to try this "salted pepper" tested recipe.
You mean like skip the potatoes all together? Then I would just add 1 cup of water and PC or finish the sausages right in the inner pot and make the veggie separate.
This is so, so good, we love it! Buying the kitchen tools through Louise’s Amazon store or Pamper Chef makes doing what she does EZ. Highly recommend supporting her through her Amazon store and be sure to chose her when purchasing from Pamper Chef. 👍
The American version looks very nice but it's definitely not how it's done in the UK. We like the sausage skins to be crispy. In fact my mum used to call the dinner "airships on a cloud." The mash would go on the centre of the plate, the crispy sausages (2 or 3) would go on top of the mash, with the onions on top of the sausages. The gravy was then poured around the potatoes so it looked like a moat. Very often it was served with cabbage as that was the cheaper option. Most British pubs serve it my mum's way, not on a plate though but a large pasta type dish. It's still one of my favourite pub grub meals but the sausages have to be crispy. 😊
Funny story I play a game called sims 4 and this recipe was recently added in game “Bangers & mash” I enjoyed seeing you make it in real life. Looks super delicious! I’m going to try it
Yummmm yummmm yummmm!! I've been meaning to ask you what brand of chef knife you use. I'm guessing not from Amazon since I didn't see it in your Amazon store. Have you owned or cheffed in a restaurant or catering? Or just lots of cooking experience? Or big food network watcher? Lol You have a lot of knowledge of food terminology, techniques recipe writing etc that the average home cook doesn't always know. I love that food shovel! We're all different of course, & Kerry Gold is tasty, but for me just not enough flavor difference to justify the cost. I've been binge watching again as I tend to do. It all looks so amazing, & now I'm starting at 2am hehehe

It’s bank holiday weekend on lockdown so I think I’m using the time productively 😁😍 love this recipe and being in the UK it’s one of my favs so will definitely be making it. Thank you so much 😊 💜💜💜
Where can I find your cutting board!! I find myself distracted often in your videos because I'm too busy staring at your cutting board and wishing I had it! Lol I just looked in your description box for it, but I don't see it! Help! Lol great video, I'm making this tonight! Excited to try it!
@@TheSaltedPepper Thank you! I made the bangers and mash and OH MY GOD can I just tell you my husband and I could not stop RAVING about it!!! SO so so DELICIOUS!! Thank you for sharing!!

Oh no, tried to repeat this delightful dish, without your video or recipe oh my gosh never try that again, without your Ninja foodi knowledge. Poor souls ate without a cry. Opps! Re watched your video to see where i went wrong. This is a delicious dish Louise’s way.
I really loved the country style ribs 360 meal. This one just seemed a little complicated and it felt like it takes longer to make this meal using the ninja then just using the ninja for the bangers and the stove for the mash and pea. But the end results looked amazing and thanks for the video.
Rayco Kornegay I didn’t feel like it was complicated or time consuming, but you can certainly make it separately. I’ll do just about anything to avoid boiling potatoes on the stove! 🤣🤣 I always let them boil over! 🤣
As a Scottish wifie living in Minnesota, I am definately going to try this one :-) Have you tried making "Toad in the hole"? that would be a wee bit of a challenge for you, but I'm sure you will make it fabulously ;-)
Hi, looks delicious!!! I'm a subscriber, love all your videos!!! I used to have problems with mashed potatoes, they would climb up the beaters, very gummy and looked like wallpaper paste. I started warming my milk or cream in the microwave so it was warm and not cold out of the refrigerator. Problem solved
we eat Bangers and Mash frequently here in UK, I don't eat pork so I use turkey or chicken sausage and it tests great .i will try it next time using the ninja foodi
I have a lot of rice and pasta recipes, the easiest way to find them is on my website. You can use the search feature and type in "rice" or "pasta" and they should pop up for you: thesaltedpepper.com
Yes, but keep in mind that almost all of the older model recipes work the same way in the new model. This recipe would be the same except stacking might be different depending on the size you have because the coil of the heating element doesn't give as much clearance for stacking pans. However, the cooking instructions are the same.
Would a round cake pan work as long as it fits and is there a substitute for the silicone lids? At least until I can purchase the correct items? Thanks 🙂
that looked really delicious. I do enjoy 'stacking' foods as they cook, but i have a question. With stacking everything to the top of the cooking pot, isn't that against the pressure cooking rules to not fill more that 2/3's full? I'm just curious. Thank you for the video. God Bless
I can’t afford the latest and greatest and Ninja. I have to work with my Instant pot and Ninja Foodi Grill. I enjoy watching your cooking TH-cam videos. They are helpful and I can just use the appliances I have Thank you.
I'm in the south of the UK. Never ever have I seen mash made like that. We use a little milk and a small amount of butter if it's added, like a tablespoon or two in that amount of spud. We also make it thicker than you have made it, or it turns to slop in the gravy as its runny with all that added. I make my mash silky and creamy by using the vegetable water instead of milk. I'm going to try adding a little cream and some extra butter for a treat, but no way would we add all that butter and cream over here. I can just see my doctors face if he saw me making/eating this mash wrth all that added fats 😂. I love your recipes though, and thank you for making these dishes to inspire us and help us to use the ninjas.
I was a little surprised to see you use a hand mixer to mash the potatoes lol but nice ingenuity. Very popular in my house lol. I'm kind of wondering if the same can be done in a Ninja Foodi in regards to steaks. I'm getting my first one in a couple of days and I'm a little nervous about doing one pot meals but excited all at the same time.
traditionally us here in the uk use oxo as the gravy, also if u use flour in bangers and mash like we do in the uk the flour gives it a flowery taste for some reason thats y we use corn-starch
as always, I love you! But gotta say I like my 360 meals a bit less complicated... as in one pot without rotating pans in & out ...but this looks yummy - just too many steps for me for a 360 meal. But may be on the menu if I have more time.
I prefer proper butcher's Lincolnshire sausages, absolutely delicious! If anyone reading this is in or near South Lincolnshire, Shearers in Holbeach are THE BEST
Hi Louise this is a great dish wonderful I'm loving these 360 Mills please keep it coming hey have you thought about doing a 360 meal with turkey wings think about it see what you can come up with and let me know I'm dying to see
Thank you so much! I have not seen turkey wings in our local stores, but I'll keep and eye out for them. You aren't the only one who has asked for a recipe.
It's when all the components of a meal are made at the same time, but the food isn't all mixed together. So, you have the protein, vegetable, starch all cooked in the pot at the same time or at least it's all finished at the same time.
You make me giggle when you say you are making peas and say broccoli cooks quickly LOL. BTW, i will be making this but first I'm making my MIL's sauerbraten recipe, I'm going to try it in the ninja or IP. I have to marinate it for 5-7 days first
@@TheSaltedPepper thanks! I made this tonight and it was amazing. You inspired me to get a NF and now I'm obsessed 😍 Thanks for all your videos!! I finally feel like I might actually be able to cook something edible 😅
You need to wash the starch out with cold water before, thats why you end up with starchy potatoes. Then par boil in salty water. Then they will not go like glue. ive just watched upto where you put the potatoes in the ninja, so definitely wash the potatoes once you've chopped them up, and that will then remove the starch. Ninja another edit you deffitnely dont want any water in them spuds once cooked you need to drain them off. Im from the uk as well.
You need a new peeler they have peelers that are padded and much more comfortable for our hands. I really enjoy your videos and I am so looking forward to receiving my Ninja. I have learned so much from your videos!
HI THE Cumberland sausages here in England are sold alongside our ordinary pork and beef sausages. the Cumberland sausages taste a bit "gamey", that is they smell as if they're or well past their sellby date. Otherwise most people find them totally gorgeous

that looked really delicious.
I do enjoy 'stacking' foods as they cook, but i have a question.
With stacking everything to the top of the cooking pot, isn't that against the pressure cooking rules to not fill more that 2/3's full?
I'm just curious.
Thank you for the video.
God Bless
No, it's fine because that "rule" only applies to the liquid amount in a pressure cooker.
Do you have any health food recipes
Yes, here are a few in this post and there are more on my website. thesaltedpepper.com/healthy-ninja-foodi-recipes/
I can’t afford the latest and greatest and Ninja. I have to work with my Instant pot and Ninja Foodi Grill. I enjoy watching your cooking TH-cam videos. They are helpful and I can just use the appliances I have
Thank you.
LOL! We also have different potatoes and I've found that makes a huge difference! Using the vegetable water is great though!
I've heard of oxo. The flowery taste comes from the flour not being cooked enough. I used cornstarch in this recipe because it was easier.
as always, I love you! But gotta say I like my 360 meals a bit less complicated... as in one pot without rotating pans in & out ...but this looks yummy - just too many steps for me for a 360 meal. But may be on the menu if I have more time.
It's really super easy. What makes it look more complicated is the time it takes to cook the sausage, but it really is simple. I hope you try it!
What is a fat daddy o pan? Where to get one?
The links are in the video description or you can find them in my Amazon store: amazon.com/shop/thesaltedpepper
Can’t wait to try this one! What size pan are the peas in?
I hope you love it! It's a 6" pan
The Salted Pepper thank you!!
Haha as we say in 🇬🇧 Bang On Pal spot on yum yum
As a Brit I can confirm that your bangers & mash looks amazing
Well thank you very much!
I love Brats too🤗
They are so good!
You aren't the only one who has asked for a recipe.
when you say 360 meal what do you mean?
It's when all the components of a meal are made at the same time, but the food isn't all mixed together. So, you have the protein, vegetable, starch all cooked in the pot at the same time or at least it's all finished at the same time.
You make me giggle when you say you are making peas and say broccoli cooks quickly LOL. BTW, i will be making this but first I'm making my MIL's sauerbraten recipe, I'm going to try it in the ninja or IP. I have to marinate it for 5-7 days first
Sounds great!
I use russet and red potatoes.
I like to cook my potatoes with the salt added to the water, thinking that the salt is absorbed into the potatoes. What do you think?
You can certainly do that!
No way my tongs would cooperate 😳 I was holding my breath at that part lol. Any other suggestions for getting that pot out?
Where gloves and just grab it. I just knew I'd put my finger it in! LOL
haha, same here. :) I was thinking, no way would I do that without an aluminum foil sling!
@@TheSaltedPepper thanks! I made this tonight and it was amazing. You inspired me to get a NF and now I'm obsessed 😍 Thanks for all your videos!! I finally feel like I might actually be able to cook something edible 😅
Fashowlife Anti-scalding clip holder gripper tongs. You can get it on Amazon.
Yes, I do need a new peeler! This one was great for a long time, but the strength in my hands (especially my thumbs) isn't what it used to be.
HI THE Cumberland sausages here in England are sold alongside our ordinary pork and beef sausages. the Cumberland sausages taste a bit "gamey", that is they smell as if they're or well past their sellby date. Otherwise most people find them totally gorgeous
Interesting about the gamey part. I will definitely have to try them one day!
I think you should dry the potatoes off before adding butter and cream !!
Amazon sells bangers
Really? I didn't think you could get any perishables there.
@@TheSaltedPepper I know you can locally. I would suggest putting it in the search and see what comes up.
