I'm glad you're okay. Thank you for being so honest about something most TH-camrs would have glossed over. That honesty will make this channel a success.
See it the positive way. The accident happened due to mechanical failure after a few successful trips. When reading the video title, I was afraid that using a quad on the narrow path turned out to be not feasible at all. So you got your proof of concept and an object lesson on how quickly things can turn literally sideways and downhill in the mountains. Whatever happens, don't even think about using the quad when there is snow or ice. And get yourself a generator for backup. Keep going. Don't let it drag you down but take it as a valuable learning experience.
Hi Matheus, glad you were not injured in the accident. Hope your quad can be fixed soon. You may want to look into satellite internet, so you can make wifi calls from your cabin. (It was my only option where I live)
I'm adding my best wishes to all those that have come before me. I'm so sorry this happened and I hope your family did cheer you up. Your brother is a gifted composer. The music is beautiful.
I think we all felt those deep sighs for you. The video was beautiful and your brother did a great job with the music! I'm sorry for your troubles but grateful that you weren't hurt and that your expensive solar equipment was not on the quad when it happened. Merry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful time with your family and pray that God will send you the views that you need to help recoup the money from the accident.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. This, too, shall pass. You are on a learning curve. Be patient with yourself. Eventually, you'll be back to square one, all the wiser. Stay the course. Many are rooting for you. ❤
The road is too narrow almost exact to the width of the quad. Is there a way to widen the road a little bit. Road is too dangerous. Seen some vlogs that they repair the road.
I’m sorry about the accident. Losing the quad is a blow. But you walked away unscathed, which is a real blessing. My honest view is that the narrowness of that path, combined with the frequency that you’d need to use the quad, makes the likelihood of an accident - and a serious one given the precipitous slope and remoteness of your location way too high to take the risk. You’ve had a lucky escape. If you can salvage the quad and get it fixed, I’d sell it and get something safer to use, like an electric cargo bike. They are narrower, but super-tough and as they’re built to carry children, you should be able to carry whatever you need. As long as you have the capacity to charge the batteries.
Yeah I mentioned this in his first video. Not even sure a cargo bike will be safe enough. If he has to use a trailer even if he runs wide with a heavy load the trailer could go over and drag the bike and him down with it. There just isn't a safe way to lug a large amount of things in and out. It is a real problem.
Indeed, Living is better than Dreaming, and sometimes life throws challenges our way, but it is better to live the dreaam. It is good to see that you were not hurt, and I am sure the issue will be resolved. Merry Christmas to you and your family, and may 2025 bring you all that you need.
You were not hurt. Thats huge!! Sometimes we dont know what we dont know and after we learn, we do better, we can control better. You are a brilliant young man. You will get through this. Rest, recover, regroup. Then seize the day!!!
I'm sorry this happened Matheus, and glad you weren't hurt. Try to let go of the shame bit because life is full of unexpected challenges, and you're doing your best. In the big scheme of things, you're accomplishing so much and doing it well. I'm glad family came to celebrate the holidays, and your brother's music is lovely.
Hello Matheus, I'm so sorry that you are off to such a bumpy start, I can only imagine the emotions you must be feeling. The real important thing is that you were not hurt, that could have been a game changer looking at where the quad ended up. Even the Bluetti, it's the first time I've seen someone have a problem, and I know of quite a few people who have had flawless use. With both of those problems it still doesn't change the fact that you have successfully moved to your dream home and it has only just begun. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year with your family, filled with love and laughter. Enjoy your family and keep smiling. Best wishes for Xmas 🎄❤️
I think anyone would be upset if this happened - I agree with the other comments - take the valuable lessons from this - you could easily have been seriously injured or killed - no amount of money in the world could undo that - so that is a blessing. You are doing an amazing thing - that few people have the willingness or commitment to undertake - keep going - this is an incredible thing you are doing.
So sorry about your new Quad falling off trail Matheus but thank Goodness you were not hurt in the accident I am sure you will get it figured out 😉. Wishing you and your Family a Very Beautiful Merry Christmas 🎄 and a wonderful Happy New Year ahead in your new Home 🏡 that has so much character..... Blessings Matheus cheer up 💓
Matheus, this may be the first drawback, but it won't be the last. You gained some experience, have a plan to fix the problem and most important, you are not injured. So just stay calm and move on. That said, you might consider getting a dog to cheer you up and to watch out. Also, please prepare yourself, in case you are hurt and are unable to move (e.g. you are stuck under a tree or something). How are you going to get any help? Do you have a radio, some flares, a whistle or something? In my village two people died, because they had an accident and couldn't get any help in the middle of winter. So, stay safe and prepare yourself. Anyway, I think you have found a beautiful place to live. Thank you for taking us on your journey! Merry christmas and all the best for you and your Family! 🎉😊
Good post. Even if he had broken his leg it would have been a serious situation. Unable to move, communicate and the cold.... a solution needs to be found, Starlink? Also getting a dog as you suggested is a good idea.
There will be obstacles that will come along the way now and then . Just keep on keeping on! That is just part of life. You will succeed! No doubt about it !You got this!
Hi Matheus, glad you were not injured in the accident. One tip I learned having lived off grid for a time, a warm water flask especially helps in winter to store the boiled water and to keep it warm for longer so that you can enjoy more tea and save on gas.
Don't feel bad, the most important thing is that you are safe! Everything else can be fixed. Stay strong, have a nice Christmas break and we will be here following your adventure!
So sad for you, knowing you are feeling so down- it’s OK to mourn for what you have lost- it is an important process for healing and recovery. Let it have its place- we hope time with family will help you see what a miracle your escape from injury was! 🙏🏻🕊️and how relieved they all must be to be able to join you for Christmas all in one piece! Hope you have a special joyous time with them. 🎄
Head up dude! The quad will be rescued (even if you have to strip it down to parts!) and you'll laugh about it one day. Leave the shame behind - you're doing something bold and mistakes will happen in a project like this. Also, enjoyed the music in this episode.
So glad you are not hurt. Please look at this challenge as a small set back. This of all you have achieved and what is yet to come. Please enjoy your holidays. From the ashes a phoenix arises.
Merry Christmas Matheus! I hope that time with your family will lessen your loss. I'm so glad you are physically fine. Thanks a lot for keeping us up to date with the accident, I was really worried about you. Thank you for the beautiful videos, the scenery its just gorgeous and the music as well. Take care. Greetings, from New York.
Bless your heart! Please don't stop dreaming. All things pass, and this will, too. You will learn and grow from it. Btw the music was beautiful. Blessings to you and your family 🙏
I know this is late but I just saw this the other day and I just had this thought. You can get that quad out by yourself or at least with the help of a friend or two. You need some tow straps and cable winch or two. Attach the winch to a tree up the hill from the quad using one of the tow straps, extend the cable winch out as far as it can go and attach a tow strap from the winch to your quad. Now start winching the quad up the hill. Now block the quads tires or use another tow strap so it won't roll away. Take the winch off of the quad and the tow strap off the tree you were using to winch from. Now repeat the process by finding a tree further up the hill and hooking the winch and the tow strap back up and starting winching it again. Rinse and repeat until you're back up to the trail. Now get your friends to push you out on the quad.
Tanti auguri di buon Natale e per delle meravigliose festività. Bellissima la tua proprietà, bellissimo il posto. Ti auguro il meglio, buona fortuna e bu vita.
It’s good having your family with and around you. I can only imagine how proud they must be for you. You’re a goal setter and a goal getter! Brother’s music was perfect for this video. Well done!
Well "spit" happens and am happy no injuries. Material stuff can be replaced. Your brothers lovely music matches your slow camera technique, quite a nice combo. Continued good luck. Mary Ann, Chicago
So glad to see you are still going, hopefully the quad can be fixed easily. Happy to see things coming along. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!🎄
How fortunate to not be hurt, the quad can be repaired, so much better than it being you needing to be repaired. May 2025 bring you many great experiences in your new home and enjoy this time with your family.
So pleased you are okay and family is coming for the holidays. I love the way you use subtitles and music to share your experiences. Sometimes, all the talking in other vlogs can be too much. Keep up the good work and hang in.
I'm so sorry, young man, about the accident with the quad. I know it is frustrating and embarrassing, but the quad can, fortunately, can be repaired. I could have been a horrible situation where your injuries could not have been repaired - and you will live to ride, wiser, another day. Oh, from a photographer's point of view, that is an amazing shot of you when you are sitting outside with your cup of tea and the candle on the table. There is a shot there worth printing and framing. Outstanding image!!! Wishing you a New Year full of wonderful possibilities... Regards from Washington State, U.S.A.
Wow! Really really happy you were not physically hurt though the ATV has seen some better days. Will continue to watch your videos as I admire your bravery living in such an unusual place. Best wishes.
Often times the places have their own demands... I'm sure you will get a better understanding over time, how to go about the challenges presented... Of course when shifting our lifestyle completely, we take time to adapt and grow along. I think that's what it's about. I wish you all the best for what's to come. But it is indeed a bummer when something like that happens... I felt so bad. Glad you weren't hurt.
I'm sorry that this happened, but very glad that you weren't injured! I hope that having your family in for Christmas gave you the boost that you needed.
Dude, glad you are ok. When I saw that road first thing I thought: it’s great for a motorcycle, but for quad will be too tight. If you are really plan to live there full time your first priority should be that access road improvements. Could be costly but it’s necessary IMO. Stay positive, we are cheering for you! :)
Lessons suck some times. But it make one wiser . Chalk it as a lesson. And carry on . you need to winch it out. In that kind of land scape you'll need to be prepared for such situations. ( winch on the quad ) consider your soundings there. have the equipment . Be prepared . Love the scenery and the beautiful place you have.
Stay strong it will be one of many hiccups along the way. There are always some great moments and some not so much. Always things happen for reason we just don't see it at the time. Wishing you a wonderful Xmas with your family and the strangers who pass thru via the digital world.
Sorry for the accident that appears to have been quite a fall. The night hike very interesting thank you for this experience. Good luck and Happy Holidays.
So glad you were not hurt. Maybe get an e-bike or an e-Trike and attach your small trailer and tow behind. They have some that get a good range of miles and have baskets to carry goods. Also will be much safer and can handle the narrow path all the way to your home
@ An electric bike can usually handle temperatures as low as -5° Fahrenheit for riding. However, the battery cannot charge at 32° Fahrenheit. However since e-bike batteries are easily removed most of us charge them while indoors or in a vehicle where it’s warm.
My heart goes out to you buddy. I think having the quad is the only way to do your move, Glad your safe and hope to see that helicopter soon! In the mean time, have another Toblerone.
Maybe it would be useful to ask the locals for advice people have lived there before so they must of been able to transport stuff safely. I think its wonderful what you are doing and look forward to watching you progress. Never give up on a dream 😊
I'm so sorry this happened Matheus, but when you said you were getting a quad I was wondering with such narrow paths if this was a good idea. I think you had a lucky escape and that you were not hurt. I think a bike with a trailer would help like they have in Holland or a cargo bike a lot narrower than a quad. Though in the winter months still treacherous with snow and ice. I hope you had a lovely time with the family and this is a learning curve, in the end you will find out what works for you. Happy New year 2025 and look forward to seeing what you do with your cabins. Have a lovely day.
I'm so happy (and amazed!) that you weren't injured! The house is really beautiful and the previous owners took such great care. Seeing you bring just a few things in on the quad I'm so curious how they got that cool wood burner in. Looking forward to seeing more videos, and btw I think the 4:3 and titles are quite nice...like watching an old Italian movie💕
So sorry to hear of your misfortune. This is bad news but I am so happy that you were not injured. Although this is a real blow to your happiness remember that you must take the positives - you were not hurt - it could have been so much worse. You will get through this new challenge and it will make you stronger. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family 🎄🎅🏼
So lucky you came out unhurt your living in the most beautiful place in the world I love it even the house Greetings from Australia Merry Christmas I hope you post again very soon😊
Glad you are OK an Happy new year. But helicopter ????? Man, you need 2 good winches and 2 or 3 determined friends. 😀. You have a lot of natural anchors.
Hi Matheus, as we say around here, "Non tutto il male vien per nuocere." Things can be repaired, and humans too, in part, by healing. But if you had been on the quad, you could have been seriously injured or even killed. The accident that happened was a signal to help you be more cautious, so consider yourself so lucky to enjoy Christmas time with your family in health and prosperity. 🍀
Happy to know that you are not hurt. You have such a peaceful place. Maybe you should get some help to improve the path. Hope you had a nice christmas with your family! And good luck with fixing the quad. You Will find a way! Looking forward to Future videos! Have a Happy New Year with new possibilities!❤
Mathias, this was so disappointing for you. In Italy they work the steep mountain slopes every day. Someone will bring a tractor with a winch and rescue the quad. I once saw some guys with a tractor down a slope into an olive orchard, the only thing holding it was a winch cable hooked far above to another olive tree! Just shrug it off. However, be sure to get someone to widen the trail a bit. Congratulations on such a spectacular home!
...what had happened is an early christmas miracle... rethinking it you'll realise, that you're a lucky one, despite what hurts now. Have a good time with your family, good music from your brother!, relaxe for the newstart 2025! All the best
This is a massive learning curve for you, take it on the chin and don’t feel sad, you’re living many peoples dream, I think I’m safe in saying we all feel bad for you but you have a beautiful home in beautiful place. Happy Christmas all the best XX
The house is indeed particularly beautiful, that is to say, in an extraordinarily beautiful region, the position and aspect of his house is particularly outstanding. It also seems in pretty good condition. So I understand his choice. But let’s be honest, - the sheer length of that unpaved road will be a nightmare. And yet whoever lived there previously managed to transport all the necessary so I would immediately make contact with him/ her and get advice. Hope it works out. This house will be a demanding mistress. She will exact a high price for her beauty.
As I look at the house and property, I wondered how someone could have built it... just bringing that beautiful cookstove down that trail had to be a struggle.
Might have retrieved it with a set of pulleys but it would have needed knowledge and experience to do so. possibly need to put some track markers for the snow, especially the bad side. Two bits bad luck right at start would down anyone, glad to see your post and that u didn’t go over as well.
I am so grateful you weren't physically hurt. You've been through trauma, but you have a beautiful home and I'm sure this will be a quick stop on this journey. Again. So glad you are physically ok. Sending healing vibes from Abruzzo, Italy.
Wow, I missed this episode, what a mess! The path you are using is very narrow, hope you already resolved this problem. I hope that it will never repeat it again!
I'm happy you're ok. This is a steep learning curve you're on. It's ( unwanted and expensive) part of learning how to live in the mountains. Wishing yoy and your family a very happy Christmad and good start of the new year.
Hi Matheus! I was really worried about you having this accident and its wonderful that you are not hurt! Thats most important. The access to your property is challenging and I wonder if there can be a possibility to make it a little safer in the long run.. The setting is stunning and your house is really beautiful! Have a nice time with your family and all the best in the coming New Year!
Matheus, enjoy the holidays with your family! I'm really sorry about the quad, things happen when you do things, don't be disheartened. Thank you for sharing your journey, I really enjoy your videos.
I love the little waterfall. It will be refreshing in the summer 😊
It's a miracle you weren't injured. I hope you can enjoy the holidays and your family time.
I'm adding my best wishes to all those that have come before me. I'm so sorry this happened and I hope your family did cheer you up. Your brother is a gifted composer. The music is beautiful.

You are absolutely correct. It’s all about the journey.
Very True 😊
The road is too narrow almost exact to the width of the quad. Is there a way to widen the road a little bit. Road is too dangerous. Seen some vlogs that they repair the road.
💯 percent. No turbiny back, just foward 💪🏼👍🏻

How would he charge it?
@ He recently purchased solar power station and solar panels.
E batteries don’t like the cold, e-bikes don’t get on with slippy leaves or snow
@ An electric bike can usually handle temperatures as low as -5° Fahrenheit for riding. However, the battery cannot charge at 32° Fahrenheit. However since e-bike batteries are easily removed most of us charge them while indoors or in a vehicle where it’s warm.
Also the newer fat tire e-bike are very capable of handling all terrain especially snow.
You will be ok. Life deals us not the best hand at times. You are strong and have a good support system.
My heart goes out to you buddy. I think having the quad is the only way to do your move, Glad your safe and hope to see that helicopter soon! In the mean time, have another Toblerone.
So glad that you were not injured in the quad accident. Hopefully you get some better luck soon! Take care.
It takes courage to live one’s dream.
It takes humility to share mistakes and misfortune.
Thanks for sharing your journey.
So glad you weren’t hurt! I had thought it sounded like you were spitting blood so was worried. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
Maybe it would be useful to ask the locals for advice people have lived there before so they must of been able to transport stuff safely.
I think its wonderful what you are doing and look forward to watching you progress. Never give up on a dream 😊
They use a motocarriola. Painfully slow but can carry 300kg at a time.
So very glad you were not hurt. We are all cheering you on. Stay happy and safe now!
Wow. So sorry the quad was wrecked, but glad you weren't hurt. Could have been much worse. Looking forward to more videos of your rustic home
What a great shot of your natural Christmas tree. Nice. I hope you're doing better.
Having your family visit will be lovely. Take care.
Happy that you are not injured, keep following your dream brother! love your videos!!!!
This is why we can’t have nice things. 🤭 glad you were ok. This is an amazing place. ❤
Just found liked and subscribed
So lucky you came out unhurt your living in the most beautiful place in the world I love it even the house Greetings from Australia Merry Christmas I hope you post again very soon😊
Keep it up. You’re doing a great job. Looks like a beautiful place. Hang in there!
Happy that you are not seriously injured by this accident. Be encouraged!
Wow, dude. You are SO lucky to have survived that!
Keep smiling! Hope you had a good family Christmas!
Your lucky but safe and you have a awesome home in a beautiful location so much to be happy about the quad can be fixed
...what had happened is an early christmas miracle... rethinking it you'll realise, that you're a lucky one, despite what hurts now.
Have a good time with your family, good music from your brother!, relaxe for the newstart 2025!
All the best
Hope you find a way to get it out. Best of luck and happy new year!
So long as you are ok and didn’t get hurt! Lessons learned and on ward!
LOVED the music. You've chosen a big challenge for yourself, but if you can dream it, you can DO it!
This is a massive learning curve for you, take it on the chin and don’t feel sad, you’re living many peoples dream, I think I’m safe in saying we all feel bad for you but you have a beautiful home in beautiful place. Happy Christmas all the best XX
Blessings of the Season
This is hard work and absolutely challenging. I enjoy your VDO keeping it up. Merry Christmas to you.
I am so grateful you weren't physically hurt. You've been through trauma, but you have a beautiful home and I'm sure this will be a quick stop on this journey. Again. So glad you are physically ok. Sending healing vibes from Abruzzo, Italy.
I hope your family was able to be with you during the holidays. The best medicine is being surrounded by the ones you love.
You got a big life lesson, as yourself told. Happy Christmas with you family.
At least you weren’t hurt. Have a good Christmas with your family.
I have to say this is a special spot you have move in ready great find !! Enjoy
I am so glad you are not injured, your quad wil survive, i hope! Have nice warm days with your family in your beautiful house, Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, the important thing is not to get hurt, the rest will be fixed
Matheus, enjoy the holidays with your family!
I'm really sorry about the quad, things happen when you do things, don't be disheartened.
Thank you for sharing your journey, I really enjoy your videos.
