    Yes I LOVE my blue Osprey Farpoint 40 it was worth every penny ❤ I've traveled with it several times without a hitch, that includes all toiletries and electronics and plus size clothing. No matter how long I go I tend to pack 1 weeks worth of clothes and just plan for a laundromat at some point, makes all the difference, I've done it with this pack for up to a month without issue.

    Laptop sleeve yes, but laptop only. Some of the accessories you added to the laptop sleeve i would not add in. I would bag separate and store separately. Laptop on outside, to much pressure. Id worry the additional stuff could damage the laptop. A really great personal review!

    Late to the party here but a solid suggestion for your ‘cons’…invest in a laptop sleeve and an Osprey Hydration Bladder/magnets (they go in the running & hiking packs). Put your laptop inside the sleeve in the space between the pack and the shoulder harness; def not safe for checking your bag but fine to haul yourself and pop out @ the AP. Put the hydration sleeve into what you are now using as the laptop slot & add a magnet to the sternum strap for the mouthpiece then ditch the water bottle (Osprey day & adventure packs can hold the hydration bladder also - so worth considering that upgrade). This will change your life. You are welcome!!!

    You don't use packing cubes or put your camera in some kind of protection? Your daypack is pretty nice, but big? I use a compromised version isn't that somehow better?

      Thank you! With the toiletries I find it's best to buy them when I arrive (there's enough space to pack them and it can often be cheaper), and with one spare shirt I've found that's what's worked for me - whenever I've packed more I basically never wear the others 😅 And they're easy to clean!

    • @emilyhicks1769
      @emilyhicks1769 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With regards to weather proofing, I have walked this bag through the pouring rain without major issues. I have a slightly older model that came with a rain cover, but I've rarely had to actually use it since the base material is water resistant.

    I assume the laptop compartment is on the front to make taking it in and out while getting your bags x-rayed easier.

      Smart!

    • @MCBoyerII
      @MCBoyerII 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There is also some logic to having the main compartment against your back. If it's filled with clothing or other soft goods (as he's using it here) it will be more comfortable against your back as it's malleable vs. rigid. That plus your spot on answer must have been considered in the design.

    • @frezzingaces
      @frezzingaces 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MCBoyerII Yeah I think this is the main reason. Backs are curved, laptops aren't. They're thinking people are gonna be stuffing this bag, which would put a lot of bend force on the laptop. Its a trade off right.

    • @Wildous
      @Wildous 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      if the airline allows its, generally you can bring a carry on with a personal bag. (22 centimeters x 25 centimeters x 43 centimeters). this is for the second bag. so the answer is probably, there is lots of info on the internet.

    Osprey bags are great and so is traveling light. However, I would love this channel to be more conscious of the climate change and the huge impact flying has. You start by talking about those crazy cheap flights which is of course completely ridiculous. The real cost of flying is much higher and your footprint on the planet with flying that much is enormous. Please be more environmentally conscious and don’t promote cheap flights and short trips that are a huge burden on our planet!

    • @Zeppelinfaktor
      @Zeppelinfaktor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Who in their right mind wouldn’t take cheap flights if they were available? Flying is flying and the price has nothing to do with carbon. If you don’t take a seat on that plane, someone else will.
