Woah, you can't compare placebo to muse, it's like comparing food, each is different and good in their own way. The songs are made to suit different states of minds and moods. This is all based on what you like, but Brian his vocals personality and look are just well diabolical sexy.

You can compare anything to anything, especially music & food. Denying their similarities is as foolish as denying their differences. One does not cancel out the other. They can be both similar and different at the same time. Music is about interpretation, preference etc. & is a subjective art form. You shouldn't dictate to people in regards to how they discuss music, just because you dislike comparisons. If *you* do not want to make comparisons, then do not make them, but you should allow others that freedom of expression. I'm not a big fan of Muse, but I, personally, believe they are similar, musically, to Placebo and IAMX. They are all unique artists in their own rights. Comparing them does not take that away from their individuality.
Placebo are still underground. Muse are not.

you can't compare Muse and Placebo because they are very different from each other. Matt Bellamy and Brian Molko have both very beautiful, amazing and extraordinary voices, but they are very different. As a fan of both of them, I couldn't choose which one is better.
I remember that I hear this from a Holmes & Moriarty video that it doesn't seems to exist anymore; I remembered that the song was something else but I couldn't recall the title or the band.
It took me a couple of hours but I finally found it.
