The odds of the lads actually seeing this are slim to none but I wanted to share anyways. My parents were both huge Placebo fans when I was growing up: two of my earliest memories are singing 'Because I Want You' and 'Every You Every Me' in the car with them.
My Dad turned 54 in March. He was the picture of health and the most high energy person to ever live but he quite literally dropped dead of a massive heart attack 3 weeks ago on 19 May.
Obviously given the pandemic, we could only have 10 people at his service. So it was only myself, my Mum and his 8 closest friends. Anyways, we walked his coffin inside the crematorium to this song blasting and it was the most incredible thing ever. He would have fucking loved it.
Writing this out is probably futile and that's okay but I wanted to say thank you to Placebo for this incredible track. Myself and many others will forever hold it in a special place in my heart 🧡

Honestly I have LOVED every single song on EVERY Placebo album up to this one, when it first came out last year I was in a bad place spiritually and when I first gave it a listen I felt so dissapointed in them because I couldn't seem to get into any song, they were not what I needed at that time. Then I worked through things and I've grown a bit and I healed a broken heart and when this song came on my ipod through shuffle at 7am while I was on the bus on my way to work I just bursted into tears and I couldn't understand how I could have hated this song.
Sometimes it's not only the band that changes.

I'm so tired of "I miss when they were dark" or "I miss when they were miserable and sad and depressed". Well, people evolve, change for their own well being. That's it. If you want to feel bad forever then go and do it, some of us work harder to have some peace of mind.

I find all of their music amazing, both the happy and depressed. As an extremely depressed person, it's inspiring to see them move from what they were to what they now are. Gives me some semblance of hope.
Personally and strangely i rely to this song to my basset hound who passed a while ago, i loved him and there's this thing i could see in his eyes like no one did..spent the entire night with him during the end of his life while he was dying listening to this song.....next day he was gone....breathe breathe believe..a love that is so proud....

Why are some people hating on it. If you need depressing songs constantly than you need to change something. This is such a happy some and it makes me appreciate Placebo's skills in conveying the dark sad times and the beautiful happy times.
Went to see Placebo live yesterday, in Puebla City and it was fucking beautiful. These guys transmitted so much love and hope with their music, it felt like a dream. I really love the music and the people behind it.

Im 32 years old, so i grew up with placebo! Used to be a depressed teenager that could find myself in Brians missery. Growing older and changed from depressed to a person that enjoy the things in life i still relate to the words Brian sings in these songs. "Can you imagine a love that is so proud, it never has to question why or how"..... Briljant!!!!! I can't wait for the new CD!! Placebo have changed, but so have i. We grew up!!

Placebo is my favorite band ever and I personally can identify my melancholia, loneliness, depression and darkness with their deep simple lyrics and sad melodies. It just my opinion, everybody loves the hits, but I think Placebo's real mood and their best side is kinda depressive.
Mmmyeah. Check out their first album. It's self entitled. To be honest - that's just my opinion, but... I much prefer their earlier work personnaly. I find them kinda soft nowadays, compared to then. When I hear the " We... Are... Loud..." it just kinda bores me, whilst the ENERGY and EMOTIONS expressed in their earlier days are just so hard to contain.
Just for the comparison, listen to anny of their recent studio stuff, and pick almost any song from "Placebo" - prefering, for example, 36 degrees. Or Come Home. It was so elaborate and on edge back then, so... Tame, now. It kinda makes me sad, coz I'm not joking : I really love the vibe they had. It's like something's lost, and probably won't ever show up again.

Actually, I love the way the sound now, so energetic and positive. That is because you can always listen to their older songs to feel sad and miserable. Now you have a possibility to enjoy your best times along with Placebo. I think that all of you would agree that it is quite hard to be cheerful listening to for example 'Without you i'm nothing' or 'Protect me from what i want'. Be loud like love:)

Placebo has never been about keeping the same steady tune .everyone is missing their dark, melancholic tunes and lyrics because thats how placebo came into fashion.To me ,i enjoy their tunes evolving because its related with their everchanging personalities.they have grown out of the nancy boy stuff.People saying Placebo is producing less quality or the tune is going worse should reconsider the fact that musicians are human and they change as days and years go by.so does the music they produce

I think the handful of positive songs Placebo do make (I Do, Because I Want You and some of their covers), are actually a humorous and well needed break from the heavy stuff they constantly put out. Although I must admit I like their darker stuff more, so I'm pleased to hear that Brian said this album will start happy, and go down. Aw yiss.
