First guy you see at 00:16 is my dad in this music video. You can see him throughout the video. He got into background acting work in his 60s after a long recovery from pneumonia that caused him to retire early from his career as a secondary school teacher which he loved. When he was too ill to work, he said he felt that he had let his students down. I just want to say that I am extremely proud of him. He has worked on many productions from around 2009 to 2016 or so from feature roles like this in Wrath of the Titans to Star Wars Rouge One to Da Vinci's Demons and many more. Posting this because of how proud I am of him, and for anyone who loves this band who is interested.

I moved alone to another country this year, got a new job, left everything behind....it was a big step to take and this song really helps me go through all these changes
"A Million Little Pieces" There wasn't much I used to need A smile would blow a summer breeze through my heart Now my mistakes are haunting me, Like Winter came and put a freeze on my heart I've lost the power to understand what it takes to be a man with my heart I saw you wanted this to end, You tried your best to be a friend to my heart But I'm leaving this worry town Please no grieving, my love, understand? Whenever I was feeling wrong I used to go and write a song from my heart But now I feel I've lost my spark No more glowing in the dark for my heart So I'm leaving this worry town, Please no grieving, my love, understand? Understand? [x4] Understand? (Can't you see I'm sick of fighting?) Understand? (Can't you tell I've lost my way?) Understand? (Look at me, there's no denying) Understand? (I won't last another day) So I'm leaving this worry town Please no grieving, my love, understand? That I'm leaving this worry town Please no grieving, my love, understand? One thing I love about this band is their ability to convey and express intense/negative emotions through song. Their music never fails to impress me. I’m so happy that Placebo is a part of my life and allows me to feel all my emotions.

What an incredible song! I come back here after listening to Beautiful James and do you know what?? Brian and Stefan never really stop doing amazing songs Placebo no need to come back, they are always the same!!

This is one of those songs you will only find relief in to your sorrow. Whatever personal battle you're dealing with and whatever stage in life you're at. I'm 37 and that special someone I met and intertwined with turned out being worse than the others I had been previously in relationship with.
I just bought the Loud Like Love album, and I love all the songs, but A Million Little Pieces is definitely one of the highlights. I've loved Placebo from their very first album and I saw them live once in Philly. I still don't have all their albums but on my way. I have the Without You I'm Nothing, Black Market Music, the MTV unplugged and Loud Like Love. I don't think there's a bad Placebo song. That's why is one of, if not my number one favorite band of all time.

"So I'm leaving this worry town" I had to walk away from people I thought were my friends, eventually things got toxic, and just the thought of them caused panic attacks. This song really speaks to me. I recently said my goodbyes, hopefully I can pick up the pieces.

This video is incredible. I saw the alternate version first, then this one, and I love them both. The idea/feeling I get from this one is maybe of good people who have either observed all the horrors of the world, or been weathered by horrible experiences, to the point where they start to question what everything means, why we as humans do the things we do that go along with society, why we place so much value on certain things and not enough value on other things, and then often come to regret it later, etc. "What's the point of falling in line with such a contradictory, unfair, nonsensical society that says one thing and does another?" maybe that sort of thing. And sometimes that notion can lead us to do unconforming things that we just don't care anymore about being judged for. Or in other cases, it can make us lose touch with reality. And I think maybe the exploration of nature draws the people in the video because nature is not governed by human society, it's timeless and non-judgemental. And I love that there are older people in the video in spite of what some people have said, I imagine there are a lot of older people who have been through a lot and can relate to this song deep inside. At 2:52 when the man sings along "understand..." that gives me chills, it's intense. It's like he's been disconnected for so long, but then he finds this song that resonates with what he's feeling, and it reconnects him with something inside himself that's really important to him.
Seems like how much people know if Placebo depends on where in the world you live. And then there's all of us on the internet: able to share our enjoyment of them and acknowledge their awesomeness together which can help with encouraging others here to find out about them and experience it for themselves :)
When all is said and done...the sound of silence is the pain that reminds us that we are still alive, but not together. Please no grieving, my love... Understand. 🖤

this is my favorite band and I can't understand why does this song have only 2 million views, what's wrong with you, people. By the way, I'm not a sad boy, just like this kind of music.

I just awoken from a dream where i was listening to a Placebo song that doesnt exist. The song was a bit faster than this1, without the piano or accoustic notec but instead occasional high bass notes and not very dynamic in composition, more in structure and very familiar vocals without the rhymes. In my dream I was looking at Brian who was strangley dressed in black rags and pins poining outward, he held a a very tall ankh sign made of thick, silver wire, sharp on all edges. Then he bended it down and a woman embraced him gently inbetween all those pins and sharp points and they started to dance at the edge of a balcony where the rain barly touched them. I awoken to a open window, it was gently raining outside... and it was music to my ears.
Even after listening to this song so may times I get hypnotised like the old man with the cellphone. I love the surreal video. Whar band could produce somthing haunting like this but our lovely and talented Placebo. There's no band like them. The song will stick in my ear for the rest of the day.
I found this band just as of late. During this pandemic, they are helpful and I wish I could see them live. Research during pandemic got me a new fav band. Better late and found!!!

Perhaps the best song of this album. A timeless classic.
and its an album with lots of good songs, after it seemed placebo had lost their melodic magic
why does every single placebo song have to be so fucking good? also this song touches my heart everytime i listen to it. never gets old.

"A Million Little Pieces"
There wasn't much I used to need
A smile would blow a summer breeze through my heart
Now my mistakes are haunting me,
Like Winter came and put a freeze on my heart
I've lost the power to understand
what it takes to be a man with my heart
I saw you wanted this to end,
You tried your best to be a friend to my heart
But I'm leaving this worry town
Please no grieving, my love, understand?
Whenever I was feeling wrong
I used to go and write a song from my heart
But now I feel I've lost my spark
No more glowing in the dark for my heart
So I'm leaving this worry town,
Please no grieving, my love, understand?
Understand? [x4]
Understand? (Can't you see I'm sick of fighting?)
Understand? (Can't you tell I've lost my way?)
Understand? (Look at me, there's no denying)

Just like the Cure, I simply can't get enough of this band!
One of my favorite songs from Placebo. I listen to this song whenever I feel no one would know how heartbreaking I am. Absolutely beautiful.
One day I found myself listening to this song with tears in my eyes, the ones that want you to cry and blur your sight. Then I understood it touched my heart and squeeze it. I don't know why, but his voice caresses my ears, it's like he's whispering to me, I can feel his lips on my ears.
I feel you.
Wow.. this is the most perfect description of how I feel when I listen to Placebo
Such an underrated song. It’s so beautiful it hurts.

"cant you tell I lost my way?". Beautiful song.
HELLO GOOD
So relatable. The lyrics really speak to me.
What an incredible song! I come back here after listening to Beautiful James and do you know what?? Brian and Stefan never really stop doing amazing songs

This song takes me to the dark moment when I had to leave everything behind to build a better life for myself.
I'm facing that moment, right now ... this song is pushing out of this misery
Sasha Munar yes exactly the same situation for me :-(
That's what i'm trying to so right now, but at times it gets really hard and pushes me back where i was. Its fucked up !

The best video music by Placibo...

I really dig this song. Placebo has always been underrated as shit.
2021 here, this album shoots straight through the auditory system and into the soul, well done placebo and friends
Just to say, you did not loose your spark, you're so good, so wonderful. I am absolutely touched by this song. Favourite
My mum made me fall in love with them Hopefully I'll get to pass Placebo on to my kids so sad that hardly anyone knows who They are my favorite tbh
Seems like how much people know if Placebo depends on where in the world you live. And then there's all of us on the internet: able to share our enjoyment of them and acknowledge their awesomeness together which can help with encouraging others here to find out about them and experience it for themselves :)
I love Placebo and have been sending my granddaughters some of their music to enjoy. They are timeless!
When all is said and done...the sound of silence is the pain that reminds us that we are still alive, but not together.
Please no grieving, my love... Understand.
🖤
Such beautiful lyrics, Ella...By the way if you like Placebo, you might enjoy our sound too :) Please have a look here and let us know! th-cam.com/video/Scl0E5NEiBo/w-d-xo.html

this is my favorite band and I can't understand why does this song have only 2 million views, what's wrong with you, people. By the way, I'm not a sad boy, just like this kind of music.

9 years already??? Oh my!
Do you realise how utterly beautiful that is? ♥️🌈😘
How lovely
Even after listening to this song so may times I get hypnotised like the old man with the cellphone. I love the surreal video. Whar band could produce somthing haunting like this but our lovely and talented Placebo. There's no band like them. The song will stick in my ear for the rest of the day.
I wish this song never ends ❣️❣️❣️
This song remember me of my past, when I was young boy ,but at present I don't forget this song
