    💰🤑To avoid any confusion the TaylorMade Qi10 Max has a price of £499 / $599, where the Ping G430 Max 10K is £599 / $650.🤑💰

    Got the Ping 10K set at 7.5 flat. It's a low spin beast with plenty of height when I tee it up with a 4" tee. I'm probably the most accurate driver in my group of buds. This might not fair lol.

      Hi Paul yes Ping will continue the G430 SFT throughout this year.
      It was the Tensei Blue S and Mitsubishi Diamana X.
      Hope that helps

    Just wondering for the Qi10 MAX 8.5 degree test, did you guys use the 10.5 degree head and drop it to 8.5 degree? Also, for the Qi10 MAX 9 degree head will it get similar backspin like the 8.5version (something like 2400RPM)? thx

    • @todaysgolfer
      @todaysgolfer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We did.
      Yes we'd expect more manageable spin number for Neil from the 9deg head, it also would not have an open face angle thanks to dialling down the loft.
      Hope that helps.

    I think the volume of all these drivers is 460 cc, may be the face depth is smaller or the back is elongated just a bit in the max like the burner of the dinosaur era

    • @todaysgolfer
      @todaysgolfer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Both profiles sit right on the edge of the rules, it's how you shape the 460cc that allows you to do this. Ping reduce face height, where TM have a really clever over hanging skirt.

  • @suprand

    Ping markets the 10k to spin less than the standard max. Does taylormade say the qi10 max is supposed to spin less than the standard qi10?

    • @todaysgolfer
      @todaysgolfer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not been part of their marketing ploy.
      From what we've seen the Qi10 Max is spinning more than the standard Qi10, hence why we can dial down loft.

    Wouldn't it be better testing maximum forgiveness drivers with slow swinging high handicapper? Having a great ball striker with high speed makes no sense.

    • @todaysgolfer
      @todaysgolfer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Understand where you're coming from JBH, but these two forgiving drivers are aimed at any/all golfers.
      Neil typically prefers more forgiving drivers over lower spin models (albeit he is is playing the G430 LST currently) and players like Collin Morikawa are playing the TM Qi10 Max on tour. So, to say they're only for slower speed high handicappers isn't being fair to them.

    If you had dropped the ping 10k to 9 Degree the launch angle, spin and height would have all come down plus more ball speed and distance, hardly a fair test.

    • @todaysgolfer
      @todaysgolfer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely correct, but spin (1993 RPM) and shot height (23 YDS) then become unplayable for Neil, which isn't the case with the TM.
      We've just published a driver test data chart on our website to show the pair compared at various lofts and against all the leading 2024 competition if you're interested.

      @@FPLGOLFER Completely understand why you'd think that in theory, we thought the same. In reality though the numbers didn't quite stack up, as the test data on our website shows.
      When testing it's important to understand we want to use the same specs for each club. That's always our start point. There are times however when it's necessary to set the driver up to best fit the player, if we're give an honest opinion of how the club performs and avoid using misleading data. Where we do this we of course show why and how we've done it.

      TM is not the most played and hasn’t been in at least 4 years. They survey drivers in 3 categories.
      1. Top count(Titleist and Ping have been 1 and 2 consistently with TM coming in third)
      2. Top Model: Ping has won this with LST almost every week (Titleist in 2nd TSR3, usually with Callaway third)
      #1 at both Masters and Memorial for example.
      3. Non contractual. Ping easily wins this week in week out. At a recent full field event on PGA tour Ping had 14 staffers and 39 drivers in play. At KFT they had 17 staffers and 47 drivers. TM rarely has more than 3 or 4 non staffers playing their driver. If they ain’t paying them they ain’t playing them
