- This week @DesignerHomeTours we visit the 2022 Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse. The Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse is a designer showhouse bringing together local New York design talent; all proceeds go to the Brooklyn Heights Association, whose advocacy is critical to preserving the neighborhood's remarkable architecture.
This is part one of two, where we tour this historic five-story brownstone with a few of the interior designs discussing the rooms that they designed. We highlight a den designed for a bond villainess, a historic kitchen redesigned for modern use, a double parlor harmoniously filled with art from disparate eras, a kid’s bedroom exploding with color, and a primary suite inspired by Elsa Schiaparelli. Share your favorite rooms in the comments below.

I am SOOOO pleased with the selection of spaces! they were all so good and layered. Bravo!!!
We have more designers to feature in part two. So glad you enjoyed it.
I thought the pink kitchen came out nicely. The room wasn’t taking itself too seriously and was cheery, warm, and inviting. All the elements complimented one another.
Loved it all! The dressing room in the bedroom was 🔥. The lime wash juxtaposed to the wood paneling bookcase was 💣!!! LOVE IT! The kitchen was serene and beautiful 😍.
The fourth room, a kid’s bedroom, was really nicely done. Nice textures and colors. Loved the headboard.
My favourite room was the whole Kitchen.😀👏🏻👏🏻💐.
I love how each designer was bold in their own way and all mixed styles! Fantastic
Thanks Janna, that's what we LOVE about showhouses. Thanks for watching.
Mike Rupp your interiours are as gorgeous as your mind! I also price all the other designers in this video.
Fantastic showcase of diverse interior esthetics!!
Thanks so much! We loved capturing so many diverse styles in one location!
I love the space by Jenny Kirschner, I first fell in love with her designs with a dollhouse she did for house beautiful. So fun 😊
Us too! Her bedroom space was so colorful and a blast of creativity!
Love this videos. I really love the showhouse from Jenna Chused, beautiful color.
They were all fabulous.
Couldn't agree more! It's impossible to pick a favorite.
Love this house! Love the colours throughout👌👌👌
Love Jenny!!
Beautiful. Congrats!
I like some of what Mike Rupp did in, what was that? The library? Drawing room? But the lime wash was killing it. I can’t believe lime wash is back in style. That dull, gray, cement-like look just wasn’t cohesive with the rest of the room. I feel like he added it because it’s trending. There was a dichotomy of cool and warm and slick and dusty, that just didn’t work.
What was the third room? A parlor? It was nice. A lot of pastels and very feminine, but nice.
👍
I guess all designers and design firms in NYC are white. They couldn't give an opportunity to one BIPOC designer? Other than that, all the rooms are very artful and unique.
Noticed! They also chose to ignore your comment. Interesting
The primary bedroom done by Tara MacCauley was not a relaxing space. The pink eye mirror was awful and the whole room was more like an art installation than a place where you’d want to unwind at the end of the day. I don’t like black, white, and hot pink together anyway. It reminds me of Good & Plenty, which I hate. The room was impractical and, dare I say, ugly.
100% agree. My first thought was how the heck could anyone sleep peacefully in there.
Schiaparelli:)🥱 , fatta verza in questo video… si chimava Schiaparelli, non Scaparelli. If it is your favourite designer/role model , at least try the right pronunciation.
Sorry Rupp the only females into your aesthetic are studs 🤷🏽♀️. Personally I thought the kitchen was the best.
