That's a tremendous public service you are providing!! Very impressed with not only your work ethic but your knowledge and experience. Keep up the good work!
Another good day at Folsom. I just received my Kinetic rope and Traction Boards from Rhino USA. I will work on getting some soft shackles soon and join the 4x4 Rescue team. Hope you are having a great time in Florida.
Just hopped in the MD 4x4 rescue. I’ve done a few rescues in the area so this is a great idea. If I’m bored, happy to help and also very prepared for this stuff. Sadly the MD group doesn’t seem to have any 4x4 rescue related content. It’s basically just a group of a few people talking about their builds like any other 4x4 group 😞. Granted, a lot of folks don’t get stuck in MD, but I definitely can’t turn on notifications to get spammed with billys random lift and his opinion on it.
Love it, the NorCal 4x4 rescue page has given me plenty of off-road recovery to do with the Bronco and XJ over the past year. Especially Folsom lake. I love it so much I’ve started building my “Patty Wagon” (heavily modified FC-150) as a dedicated 4x4 recovery rig for the group. It’s a great way to meet people, have fun, good vibes and do some off-roading without getting way out there. Plus you never know what the day will bring. Good job sir
I bought an FC right when covid started. My plans were the same, but covid hurt my income. I'd love to see yours. Do you have a build or videos or anything on it yet?
Great video. Thanks for sharing how to do it and where to hook up. Most videos on YT only show how to hook up to recovery hooks. Nice to see how to hook up regular cars that don't have tow hooks.
As a jeep owner and 5 jeeps I had I sure love this video ! I eventually went back to the 2door wrangler, but Goodrich tires. Ricky mountain high Colorado
Man brother I just ran into your channel not too long ago and impressed about how you help people in need I'm always at folsom lake I hope I never have to need you but I'm glad you're out there helping out God-bless you and your family dude! keep up the good work.
Wes if this is what you do for fun.! Brother there’s a special place in heaven for you. I was stuck in the median back in the early 70’s snowstorm the night before. Some guy pulled me out in a brand new Ford truck that still had the window sticker and plastic on the seat. $50 bucks ! Lots of money for the times and a young G.I. Just trying to get home. But I got out and made it home.
First of all Love what you do.. And apologize that this has been expressed, so PSA 14:58 those tires were dangerous on a paved road , just worked with my niece and nephew so they could understand why tire maintenance, rotation and monitoring is so important> Hopefully they replace them soon 18:56 capability does increase with basic maintenance, no indictment just facts and she shouldn't be driving on paved roads with that tire never saw the other three. Hoping they are good and safe
Maybe they were fine before she got stuck and she wore the tread off while sitting there spinning -_- man that is insane. Will go straight off the road if she hits a small puddle of water
In nj we have "new jersey stuck in the mud and snow and need a pull out" I've been pulled out in my younger and dumber days and now I pull other people out when they post. Awesome community!
I am a fellow jerk pirates member. Glad to see my own helping out. I love helping people, but I really hate when they run over my rope, expensive equipment. If you’re ever recovering in pismo it’s actually illegal to accept money for recovery’s because it’s actually a local tow companies turf. There was a big lawsuit the jerk pirates had to go through.
On the mini van I would have used the winch to getting it out it was so close just me though I recovered back in the day of no snatch straps had the first warn winch produced on my old Jeep . Great video excellent you helping people
Your very helpful.. You're video took me back to remember when I, and my father along with his 2 friends road in the mountain. It was rainy season that day back in 1986. We did not took the risk to load our vehicle to a ferry because of the storm. From our province going to Manila would take 12hours - we made it 18 hours🙄 We got stuck in the mud several times. My father and his 2 friends tied the wheels with a chan each wheels around it, and put rocks underneath the wheels. That's how I've learned when there's no other vehicle to winch another vehicle. I remember our vehicle was FORD FIERA 1984 model - We even crossed the river and lake, almost half of the vehicle sunk into the water,
i think its country recovery that has some 3ft long stakes they drive in the ground and hook up a winch to when there isn't any trees and it even works in soft sand really surprised me how good they work
The rhino usa products are good. I use their rachet straps for all my atv's and they hold up much better than other brands I have tried. I haven't tried their kinetic ropes because the size I want they are always out of stock.
I have a California 4x4 Rescue group but there’s a few other groups that already have things dialed in. Check out So-Cal Off-road recovery, High desert off-road recovery, Nor-Cal 4x4 Rescue and and Nor-Cal 4x4 off-road recovery. Their member counts are much larger than my group.
Awesome public service...keep it up !! Hope that you told the owner of #4 to go directly to a tire store. Lots of people seem to like to drive over your ropes and straps. Not thinking at all...but if they were, they wouldn't be stuck.
1st Jeep I've seen with 'No Ducks' on the door. Doin good work though. Wouldn't mind helping the Ky version if you point me in the right direction. Thanks
Those are racing slicks. I think California is the only state in the country with a minimum legal tread depth of 1/32 of an inch. I don’t even think these tires have that. All other states require 2/32 of an inch.
Where did you end up hooking up to the Bronco? If they did have the tow hook that screws in to the bumper, would that have been a good place to pull from? I mean, would you want to use that screw in hook if they were in deeper than that? Seems like a light weight toe point. I’ve never used those.
ouch that lil black kia had noooooo tread on the front tires that'll make it hard to get traction lol also the first month i got my 2020 ranger 4x4 i took it up to mt san jacinto in hemet california and oh man i got stuck in some deep ruts all the way up to the running boards. had someone help out by sticking some max trax under the rear wheels and i backed that baby out in reverse and got on top of the ruts/channels and nearly made it to the end but felt the tires slip a bit into the ruts/channel and said aww shit we're not getting stuck again so i gunned it and basically did the cool runnings luge run down some mud. it was scary and intense and i will always remember that memory XD hahaha.
What kind of wear and tear do you think all those pulls are putting on your Jeep? Do you ever worry something big will break? I've pulled out about 30 vehicles in about 3 years of owning my 2019 Tacoma. I sometimes worry I'm doing too many and something big will break. I cant afford a big repair.
I’m sure you’re already doing this but you’re using a kinetic rope right? Takes away a lot of the shock on the pull vehicle especially with high reps of pulling
I use and abuse mine as you can see, never broke one. Anyone that did break one likely is from their own neglect. I’m not sure where you’re seeing bad reviews? Amazon has 6500, 5 star reviews for the tow strap.
IV seen on Amazon comments , tho it's says rhino USA it's made in (China) lol not a problem just need to no if I can trust it . IV gotten my new 21 bronco stuck in mud and brother saved me with d6 dozer and janky strap . Looking for right way to go
Git to ask why do u not use the tow hook that screws in the front bumper and back bumper on alot of those cars u pulled out the hook is where the spair is an works so much easier to atach to
Not really meant for hard pulls or side to side force. On some cars the threads that they screw into are aluminum. Control arms & other suspension components are much stronger.
15:06 That tire is ready for the drag strip 🤣🤣🤣
You’re a good dude, imagine a world where everyone was as caring as yourself. I try to be the same way.
We need more people like you out here
Thank you!
I just wanted to thank you guys these towing companys are absolutely ridiculous with prices now days safe travels all involved thanks again

Those bad ass traction tires on the kia at 15:08.
I thought those wear bars were for additional traction!
I came here to say the same exact thing!
The world is a better place with people like you! Thank you
14:53 this guy needs new tires. There's no tread left on that thing.
Love it, the NorCal 4x4 rescue page has given me plenty of off-road recovery to do with the Bronco and XJ over the past year. Especially Folsom lake. awesome rescues Wes! I carry a bunch of Rhino gear. Didn't realize they carried the axel straps and promptly ordered some after seeing your video.
Hey we appreciate the support 👍
As a jeep owner and 5 jeeps I had I sure love this video ! I eventually went back to the 2door wrangler, but Goodrich tires. Ricky mountain high Colorado
Good safe recoveries with an understanding of competently aggressive pulling. Great job great location

I heard the tow companies make you pay full price before even heading out so the jerks can't help somebody that has already paid full price
Admiring your help to people in need
On the mini van I would have used the winch to getting it out it was so close just me though I recovered back in the day of no snatch straps had the first warn winch produced on my old Jeep . Great video excellent you helping people
Mini van rear end had a beam axle, commonly known as a solid axle.
Looks like I need receiver shackles as well... Cant wait to start helping....
hi wes my name is anthony thomas from arizona i like ur videos keep it up.dont get stuck too much
It also helps if the guy you are trying to pull out starts there vehicle up and try to help
Thank you for everything you do.

Keep up the work. I like the fact that you don't edit to much of the stuff out.
Thanks for the feedback
14:54 look at how bare those tires are! who thought they could take this car through sand?
Just joined WA 4x4 Rescue, you're doin good things brotha!
I like when you have the camera in front of their car and you can see they have wear out tires or the worse kind of highway tires.
we need one in Arizona , i'd love to join i have rescued dozens of people
I just looked for one in Arizona and didn’t find one. Were you able to find one?
Love the No Ducks sticker on your door. Need to do that to mine.
i think its country recovery that has some 3ft long stakes they drive in the ground and hook up a winch to when there isn't any trees and it even works in soft sand really surprised me how good they work
I can’t believe people just can’t get their heads around don’t run over the rope! Free recovery as long as you do not run over the rope😤
The rhino usa products are good. I use their rachet straps for all my atv's and they hold up much better than other brands I have tried. I haven't tried their kinetic ropes because the size I want they are always out of stock.
nice no ducks stickers lol. I just joined the Washington 4X4 rescue FB page.

Joined FB Kentucky group. Like what you're doing. Keep it up.
Have you watched Matt's off road recovery. He uses a Yankum recovery rope as well as his winch. Pretty impressive
I can understand some Spanish speakers at the red Denali pick up recovery.
15:00 them tires are probably the reason why they keep getting stuck.
Lol look at how bald the kia tires were 😆 🤣 😂. Good to know there is a local doing this
That Kia at 15:24 had BALD tires!!
Great job, joined the fb group, I'm "rigged" for this in central valley CA. Where can I order those 4×4 rescue decals?
This guy is AWESOME! Subscribed!
Welcome aboard
I prefer 4 high in the mud, I use 4 low for going uphill
Thank you for your public service.
1st Jeep I've seen with 'No Ducks' on the door. Doin good work though. Wouldn't mind helping the Ky version if you point me in the right direction. Thanks
That Kia has like -17 tread life left 😂
If you’re ever in the Folsom area again and want to film let me know. I have a bunch of film equipment and a diesel :)
I’ll be out there in a few weeks. Won’t have my jeep tho, and the lake is probably a lot more full since the last time I was there
Fully agree it's a blast
Your videos keep me from doing stupid stuff
Wes are you the rescue guy i was watching from Florida i see your plates say California just wondering
Yes, I travel back and forth
Good work wes!
Loving these videos man!!
Awesome Recoveries 👌
I'm stuck right now bad in FL, in my own back yard
Love what you do!! Do you guys have any Canada groups?
15:11 man those are some BALD tires

Sad to see the water level over there the same as it is here is Las Vegas. Lake Meade is just as bad.
Lol I cannot believe how many people take two wheel drives where they do lol
Great stuff! ❤
Where did you end up hooking up to the Bronco? If they did have the tow hook that screws in to the bumper, would that have been a good place to pull from? I mean, would you want to use that screw in hook if they were in deeper than that? Seems like a light weight toe point. I’ve never used those.
We hooked to the control arm
22:43 - glitch in the matrix. Steering wheel on right side of vehicle. Then a few seconds later driver on the left side.
Lmao. Yeah i accidentally recorded with my phone upside down. Had to reverse the angle.
17:20 pickup truck bed guy looks too drunk to be up there
I’m not seeing one for KS. but I would do one here.
It’s wild to me how much people don’t know about off-roading
It’s usually only the inexperienced people who need help when they get stuck. That’s how you learn though
Texas rescue might need about 5 or 6 of them by region lol
Yeah I might end up breaking it up into multiple groups or even by some counties.
What part of Texas are you located would like to see if I could get involved 🤔
Forgot to say I am in east Texas crockett area
I like that idea. I’m down in Houston.
All the small cars you could have used mini j hooks. Why doesn't Rhina sell them? They are crucial to a safe recovery on small cars.
How many times did they run over your rope this day ?
That Kia at #4 needs to get some tires with actual traction. I looked for a Michigan 4x4 rescue on FB but came up empty. Do you have one?

Man, I'd be yelling at these yayhoos for running over your straps.
It happens..lol
Why use a soft shackle between the hitch d ring and the rope. Why not just put the rope straight to the d ring
It seems people don’t pay attention to all the others getting stuck.
It’s a beam axle 👍
Is there a South Texas 4x4 rescue group?
so you're basically a super hero
14:55 bald ass tires lmfao
#4 with the bald ass tires

Obvious why the red bronco was stuck. He almost dug his own ruts on the dry pathway
You need some J hooks bud.
I’ve thought about it but I like the closed loop systems. Little more work trying to rig it but there’s no way anything can pop off.
that kia with bald tires, no wonder they got stuck.

I’m in NC love to join the group I got a pretty capable rig
the guy in the 2 wheel drive Tundra should have pulled from his rear and it would have done better to pull the guy out.
