The pillars a specially nade and one of the first things that come out to drop the concrete walls in.

When traveling in Australia in 2011 I absolutely wanted to go on the "track", it was only 1 week after the race, and it's totally amazing when you are a F1 fan, you can walk in the paddock, around the stairs to go to the podium, the place where they park the cars etc, there was even some papers from the FIA with all the drivers names sticked on the wall ! Did the lap on bike, I got lost at many points even knowing the track, in real it looks even more different.

Great video, amazing to see how different it looks but honest question: Australia has lot of space, what's the reason to mount/dismount all the different parts of track every year, build grandstands, paddock, garages... I don't think it's fast and cheap. How many days they need every year before and after the race to do this? Wasn't easy to build and use a permanent track just outside Melbourne?

Does anybody know, how long it takes to prepare this to become a Formula 1 racing track? Removing all the traffic signs, installing all barriers in order to form the track , block the roads, build the paddock and so on ? What time is needed ? A month ? So 2 months a year ( March and April ) this all is blocked for common people?

I love Melbourne and that circuit... when I went there last year and picked up my car, the very first thing was driving a lap at the racetrack 😄

The point of the video is to see it at the speed of a normal car

You can literally just put it on 2xs speed yourself

Wow, I hadn't realized just how much work they have to do each year to set it all up. Hundreds of fence posts and chains, islands, signs, and even a roundabout all having to be removed.
