I always liked the idea of simply carrying out the job you were hired to do for Mr. House and being rewarded and told you exceeded expectations as an employee. The courier doesn’t trouble themselves with politics, they were hired to do a job, did it well and that’s that.

Using 100 Barter on Oliver with House is the best ending; you form a House-NCR alliance that is beneficial for both factions. I would not hesitate to defend the idea that that ending is honestly even better for the NCR than their own ending. The NCR is no longer overstretched and House's Securitrons are much better built to guard carvan routes in the boiling desert than flesh and bone NCR troopers. The ending also involves promising the NCR a free hand in conquering the Legion's territory. In that ending the NCR millitary and Securitrons army join forces. The NCR avoids being overstretched. Hoover Dam runs more effectively than ever with House's technical experience overseeing it during the ending slides. Lastly, it is the only ending directly taking the fight to the Legion straight away. The Legion and the NCR will never attack the Mojave again, and the combined Sercuriton army-NCR millitary would be able to handle the predicted Tunneler migration from the Divide to the Mojave that Ulysses predicts. No other ending allows for that security.
Truly one of my favorite things about the House ending is just how powerful the Securitrons are. One MK. II Securitron could easily best at least 5 NCR Troopers at once, assuming they're all armed with mere service rifles. Any Legionary caught without a firearm would be decimated, same goes for raiders. I'm not too sure how powerful power armor is in lore, but I'm fairly certain it couldn't withstand 4-6 direct missiles/rockets from a Securitron, even so power armor seems to be a rare sight in the Mojave, especially now that the BoS is no longer around in the House ending, the nearest chapter being far away and all other forms of PA in the area are just stripped of their servos. Planes and vertibirds would struggle against the Securitrons anti air tactics, and vehicles would suffer against Securitron missiles as well. The only thing that I see posing a threat to Securitrons are tanks, artillery, and long range snipers/rocketeers. Of course the Mojave doesn't have infinite resources, House could make hundreds of Securitrons but keeping a steady supply of rockets and ammunition for every single unit could prove a challenge in times of war.
@@generaltobias3777 Yeah, and unlike Yes Man, they're in control of a man who really understands them, considering he created them. House has been planning for his big play for 200 years, he understands how best to utalise the Securitron army.
I think the best way to convince Oliver to leave is the science checks where you can tell him that they can give the NCR power and water if they pay and he agrees
Having the might of House's Securitrons to alleviate their burden in the Mojave with them being so dangerously stretched thin is more than worth the payments.
As the other commenter said, you actually are, I have mods (i don't know which one does it) that fucks up the end slides so I can see below and above where the slides are and it's a red carpeted room with basic walls, most likely a room fashioned after the Tops.
It gives a whole new context to all the little comments in it, voiced by the people being depicted; it's less that (for example) Cass literally said her last words to the Hoover Dam, and more that she's trying to dramatize it a bit.
Some twin peaks bullshit. Like what you did was such of an astral magnitude that at this very moment a breach in spacetime opens and each main characters you've met narrate their endings to you as you watch on an old projector a slide show of what you've accomplished. It is beyond surrealistic.
I dunno. While I do like the idea of House winning, I also know the implications . I feel like Yes-man is the true ending, because it wouldn't completely shatter the balance of power in the wasteland.
Because he who owns the dam owns vegas, and he who owns Vegas has immense power. Enough power to completely shift a power struggle into one's favor. Nobody getting it, knowing Black Isle, is probably the Canon ending if I had to guess.
@@texo456 Could be, idk. I've never personally liked the idea of the courier owning Vegas cause i feel like it's kind of lazy writing and most people go through mental hoops to make it make sense. But Yes-Man is 100% a traitor. Dude is mad sketchy. So maybe that could be the canon ending, him locking the courier out of their own city and going rogue like the Calculator and his robots from Fallout Tactics.
@Uncle Phil I honestly never really got that from the ending. I more got from all of the endings that he helped one of the factions, then kept wandering, cause that's what a courier does
@Uncle Phil and since yes man is the only one who has no intent to use the power for greater means, it would make sense. The legion could also work, since the destroy the dam and shut down new Vegas, but that would also go against their model of Canon endings with the evil guy never winning
It's so nice to see everyone discuss this game's story because it's an rpg with a rich set of choices that have dynamic consequences. New Vegas is a reminder of why I love rpgs and talking about them

@@NuclearNuke41 The "Classic Pack" DLC includes the Vault 13 canteen, which will regularly display the "take a sip" message every few minutes. It's kind of notorious for showing up at ridiculous or inopportune times (e.g., while diving to the bottom of Lake Mead) and it's become a sort of meme for expressing cool indifference to some violent or depraved act you've just performed. Just "rescued" Frank Weathers' wife and kids from the slave pen at Cottonwood Cove by slaughtering the Legion and then releasing them from the pen without first disarming the explosive collars around their necks? Nah it’s more so a reference to the Italian dictator Mussolini during WW2. It’s essentially alluding to the fact that house will be a cruel and cold dictator (as suggested by what happens to the “joy” in Vegas as everyone is stuck moving about in a specific manner and if not they get their asses stomped by the securitrons.
@@thepapakeeganshow6440 Or house just saw the monorail as a profit opportunity and the fact that he’s a perfectionist makes it so the trains not running on time does genuinely bug him
It’s a fascist allusion to Mussolini. House doesn’t see the role of government as just a regulatory one, but of complete control of commerce via a totalitarian regime that even controls the most minute part of people’s lives. That’s the implication of the ending when it says that it feels cold. In effect, it house has created a system to run he trains on time by controlling even the most minute aspects of people’s lives. The best comical rendition of this that I’ve seen is the joke in the Barbie movie when Barbie complains that she’s been called a fascist but she doesn’t control the trains.

@@thepapakeeganshow6440while I do understand where you and the other guy are coming from i believe it needs to be said that if you do a high karma ending the courier actually ensures Mr house doesn’t abuse his power and become a true dictator. I also believe that Mr house was speaking the truth when he said he has no intention to directly control the lives of people. My take on Mr House is this: to him efficiency is the most important aspect. You’re allowed to do what you want and live like you want as long as you don’t cause problems and do your job. Mr house is focused on the big picture and the future of humanity as a whole meanwhile the courier with high karma is focused on the more immediate future and keeps things as stable as they can. As for what happens when the courier is dead, that’s a good question. However if house has the technology to preserve himself it wouldn’t be a huge leap to assume he could preserve the courier so the courier can keep things stable while house continues working towards the big picture. Between the courier keeping things stable and House being the only one with an actual long term goal and the power, resources, capital, knowledge and drive to give humanity a brighter future I fully believe a high karma house ending is the best.

@@Reiman33 oh boy here the argument comes. The main criticism with the NCR is while they have the most appealing option on paper, in practice they can't even send 10 troopers to kill giant ants on the road so what makes you think they are going to be able to secure a town? They only start to become a option that can actually protect their citizens and later the Mojave when the player puts in a entire playthroughs worth of babysitting to solve all their problems. Without the courier, the monorail blows up so they can't reinforce the dam as well, they don't stop the assassination of their president, they don't get cement from quary junction to reinforce the dam, they can't adequately feed their troopers at McCarren, forelone hope goes even deeper into the gutter as troops don't get supplies, chief Hanlon commits suicide so they lose the only smart millitary strategist that knows how to fix problems besides throwing troopers at it, information keeps getting leaked to the legion so they keep losing troopers to hit squads, the fiends keep pillaging the Mojave, any ncr in fireside gets killed during hoover dam, the embassy gets blown up, trade stops moving because they can't secure roads, they don't make a deal with the boomers, the brotherhood doesn't get dealth with, the kahns are still a problem, and countless other problems. They are only a faction that can actually back up the claims of protecting everyone once the courier comes along and solves all their problems. Meanwhile the legion, house, and yes man can actually work antimony without the help of the courier. The legion destroys ncr settlements, gets help from the omertas, extends a invitation to the kahns and figures out where the brotherhood is on their own. House figured out where the brother hood is, is actively looking into the omertas, has already figured out the legion is going to assassinate the president and is making moves to try and counteract it. House is also the only faction that demonstrates any idea of what to do AFTER hoover dam gets secured. Every faction wants it for water/power but just keeps going imperial mode after while house plans to use it to remake factories and make a economy to make better bots and go to space to make colonies. House and the legion are the only factions that demonstrate any capacity to secure the mojave/the residents there in any successful capacity, meanwhile all of the ncrs territories in the Mojave are plagued with problems waiting for someone to come fix them because they literally cannot do it themselves. If you don't do a ncr playtrhough, what good is the protection/governing style they plan to offer when they can't even protect their territories in the first place? Even with the brutality of the legion and house's expansion most people will get protection meanwhile the ncr is still stuck trying to kill 10 ants on the side of the road bottling up their main trade route. With house/yes man you arguably get more autonomy over yourself than the NCR anyway. Yes the ncr seem the most appealing but most people would rather live under the legion/house if it meant they got a stable food supply, didn't have to deal with raiders, and could actually protect them instead of just annexing their town by force, making them pay taxes to protect them, then not even following through. That's why most of the Mojave doesn't wanna join the ncr
It's a testament to the quality of the games writing that even the bad guys of the game (Legion) have enough good qualities that you can appreciate why someone might prefer them to the "Good guys" (NCR). For all it's cruelty and barbarism, the Legion is at least competent enough to actually take steps to solve their own problems The NCR is almost cartoonishly rife with nepotism, bureaucratic bloat, and general incompetence, but at least they have benevolent intentions I really really really wish that Obsidian had been given enough time to really finish the game like they wanted. I don't think any of the existing factions would have been quite as they are today if the Devs had the time to polish the game.

Mr. House is based on Howard Hughes, fyi. Very interesting life. He was an aviator, film producer, inventor, and millionaire. He lived in Vegas as a recluse due to a very painful disease which kept him at home all day, but he also bought a bunch of land including casinos and the wiki says he "transformed Las Vegas into a more refined cosmopolitan city"
My dad actually did some work for him many years ago in Florida. He built a hanger for him where he was keeping what he claimed were experimental and untested engines for projects he was developing. My dad always said he was a weird man to do work for. He had a very tight inner circle and he would only talk to them. If you were doing work for him you had to speak with a middle man in order to get any communication done. Apparently Howard Hughes didn't like talking to people directly and was apparently a germaphobe.
@jamesnaldplayzyt7323 yeah, it's never mentioned in any literature about him but my dad swore that's how he was and my dad has done alot of work for a lot of rich people. One person he did tile work for was the guy that Made denim Jean fabric. You would never have guessed it by how the guy carried himself but he was super humble and nice to my dad I was told.
“I can make sure it not only runs, but runs on time. Always bothered me, the imprecision.” Howard Hughes? My brother in Christ, you need a history lesson. 😅
Killing him (and/or Kimball), as pointed out by House, would be mercy, and potentially make him into a martyr or hero (both of which he isn't nor deserves) for the hyper-corrupt, greedy military and politicians to use and rally with against you. Nah, leaving him alive for the other grifting, power-hungry politicians and military rank-climber bloodsuckers like him to ravage and conveniently put all of the blame on so to save their skins is a much worse, satisfying and convenient (for you) fate than death.
@@andryuu_2000In my eyes Yes Man is kinda a cop out. Like I feel the only reason he was put in the game is so the player can still “beat it” if they mess up all the other factions.

The question is more about WHO will remaster it? FNV is not a perfect game, and if someone remaster it they will most likely impart their own biases and change a few things that cause big changes down the line. The Legion was given a bad hand because most of their content was cut from the game. You get a very NCR biased view because of it. What if a remaster changes the game so that House and Yes-Man are not given any redeeming factors?
@@Cloud_Seekerironically some may claim lack of Legion content gave more opportunity for mixed interpretations if Obsidian had intended to bash them more
Realistically it would be the canon ending. Both sides don’t get destroyed and that puts up potential to bring back the NCR and Legion in future titles. Also the Courier would most likely want to help House after House saved their life. Ironically enough House’s ending could actually lead to Obsidian’s recent series “The Outer Worlds” considering it perfectly describes what House wanted to achieve for humanity.

Mr House is not equal to the rest of the wasteland, he’s a 200 year old genius that’s possibly immortal and dead-set on human development, that qualifies him to be an autocrat in my eyes, if he had the same lifespan as everyone else id say democracy is in order.

The problem with democracy is that you cannot make long-term plans with it. Democracy tries to make the life of its citizens as good as possible within the near timeframe without not thinking much about future. And why should they? Presidents and chancellors only think of the next election term or maybe next decade. But no further than that... Monarchies (or autocracies in general) however, need to think for the next generations and centuries. Afterall, no sane person would want to destroy their childrens/inheritors future and since they own the state, they can afford to make long-term investments and have to think about their legacies. And when we look at the Mr. House, he is a genius, immortal (... Well, kind of.), lawful autocrat. He is as close as you can get to a "Philosopher King" Plato talks about. He is in my humble opinion is the best choice if you are aiming for not for authority (Ceasar), not for egalitarianism (NCR) and not for anarchy (Most of Yes Man's endings), but for a better future for humanity... Even if it takes a century or two. “A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit."
It's one of those selling your soul kind of deals. His path certainly is progress, but it's a poisoned chalice, and it will be irrevocably chained to the whims of a tyrant who will never relinquish that power. No matter what, Mr House does what's best for Mr House. Chunks of humanity just happen to benefit from that as well. The biggest thing with House is that, in cannon, he actually is what he says he is, which rarely holds out in the real world. I remember hearing over multiple times since the game released, how it would be like if Elon Musk controlled the government. But as pretty much everyone has come to learn, the real life supergenius who can save us all is pretty much always a fantasy. Lies peddled by snake oil salesmen, and that real progress is more often than not borne out by mutual collaboration. but, in a hypothetical, where someone actually does have that unique greatness, would be interesting to see.
This game came out 13yrs ago and I just played it and I was definitely impressed. Didn't think it would have been as good as fallout 3 boy was I wrong!!!.
Same here. I started with Fallout when it first came out. Then got Fallout 2. My nephew gave me Fallout Tactics, which I quickly got bored with. Then I saw the release of Fallout 3 and wanted it, but couldn't afford it. Many years later, I bought Fallout 4 when it went on sale and LOVE that game (over 4200 hours played and still going). Then not long ago Fallout 3 was on sale, including all DLC and I bought it. It looks pretty dated, but it was fun to play. Most recently, Fallout New Vegas was on sale and I bought it. It was also very dated, but a lot of fun.
I'd even go as far as saying Fallout New Vegas is even better than Fallout 3. And this is coming from someone who started Fallout New Vegas with a very, very big bias to Fallout 3 as it was the first RPG I took seriously and explored very deeply.
@@brianyousef5764 That's cool. But I disagree. FO3 and FONV combined play time is a very small fraction of the hours I've played FO4. I don't think that's entirely fair. The way I see it, there were potentially thousands of people who were employed by House, whether at Robco or in the post-war world, who made him the man he was and allowed to save the Mojave twice over. House ending is the best outcome by far. When you rebuild a civilization some strong arming is absolutely needed and House is the perfect guy for the job. Only after humans get back at least to modern standard of living there can be other things. Also I still can't get over the fact Fo4's factions&leaders are so much worse.
TBH, none of the factions could properly run the Commonwealth, the Minutemen are a disorganized mess, The Brotherhood are too weird, The Institute waste their time on Synths, and The Railroad dgaf about The Commonwealth outside of Deacon
@addi543 the way I see it, the "best" option for the Commonwealth would be for the SS-ran institute and the minutemen to ally. Creating teleportation stations across the Commonwealth, allowing for the minutemen to literally come at a minutes notice. All the while the institute rebuilds the commonwealth.
House will inevitably raise the standards of living to a point before it no longer becomes profitable, and those toiling under him unite and overthrow him through collective action as class consciousness slowly seeps back into the Mojave. Side note: I would kill for some sort of far future side story after this ending where you and a group of revolutionaries overthrow and take over the strip. How this goes and what type of governance is achieved afterwards would depend on your choices, how well you organized, and who you recruited to your cause. I know NV was written by commies it would be so awesome. Impossible, but it would be awesome.
This is probably the canon ending for vegas if there isn’t a closer alternative to the possibilities with the TV show unless Bethesda just went and did their own shitty lore all of a sudden
For the most part, this is probably the best possible House ending...with one exception in my opinion. I think Meyers is more qualified to serve as sheriff of Primm than Primm Slim.
After playing fallout dust, I feel like Mr house is the best option now. I liked the idea of taking new Vegas for the courier but I feel like Vegas would peak there. And just stay as is. Mr house genuinely could send humans into space and if he can restore Vegas to what it's original Spirit is, he can certainly restore America. But he can only do so if he has the courier. Any other version of house is destined to fail simply by the fact that the NCR and Legion are simply to crafty and there numbers too great.
What makes you think sending humans to space is something that needs to occur for an ideal society and what makes u think house would accomplish anything different than what the NCR would (whether or not you establish a trade deal with the NCR so they don't eradicate you with sanctions Vegas is still eventually integrated into the NCR either way) Dust isn't cannon it's an insanely cynical work where the dev constructed a lore around worst scenario they could think of & how they thought that scenario would play out (which iirc was the independent Vegas ending where both the securitron bunker and the dam were destroyed) so I rlly don't see how it should effect anyone's opinion of anything

But he would never do that, then or after his ending, because House doesn't give a shit about the common people. He's an elite who cares only about other elites and people who are directly useful to him. He talks a good game about wanting to advance the "future of humanity," but when House speaks of that future, he's not actually expressing any concern for most people. Only select people in his new "big club" that "you ain't in" (though the Courier may be) will get to share in and enjoy that "great future." You want to know what a future under House looks like? Look around. The game never comes right out and tells you, but the clues are all there if you go looking for them. Look at Freeside, then look at the Strip, and look at how House brutally segregated it from the "dirty poors." That's how House ran things. That's how House will _always_ run things. Pretty speeches aside, that's who he really is. Independence may be harder, but it's the best chance the Mojave has at developing into a place where everyone matters.
If you think about it as well House’s ending benefits from a geo political sense as well. Seeing as how if he’s out of the picture the NCR or the legion can gain power unchecked compared to him in power acting as a third actor in the southwest keeping the legion and NCR in check
I do wonder what was the appeal to my younger self about the independent ending; If we think about it, Mr House has New Vegas at his interest at heart, he truly does care about it's microcosm, and the courier well, it's a courier bound to no one who will probably it the road again. Ensuring people's freedom is a fine idea, but having a plan like Mr House does to back it up is even better, even if he had to be coarse to get there.

honestly, i think this is the best ending for the entire wasteland, the legion is stopped, vegas is stabilized, and the ncr is forced to reform. im no mr house glazer, but he is far, far from the worst man in the wastes.
I tried to do Mr. House ending but we came to a crossroads on BoS. At that time I was still young and radical to their cause from my days of Fallout 3.
It's a bad ending that one, similar to the Kings, House gets pissy for them siding with NCR, and so starts governing them really hard and rains down a ton of taxes upon them as punishment, instead of leaving them be.
@@scpfoundation2040 It's not. That will only cause Primm people to be pissy and hostile at House, and House will barely gain any money from it, his being a simple "containment measure" and "punishment" to prevent NCR from potentially using its acquired influence to stir shit up with Primm. Hence why preventing such a thing from ever happening in the first place is the best outcome for both Primm and House. Primm gets to mind its own business, House has one less thing to worry about and one less containment measure to apply that will make him more disliked.
I think there is a near perfect ending. It's a matter of opinion of course but I do believe that there is a relative perfect ending that would be considered the most optimal outcome.
I’m hardline NCR, and I agree with that statement. Even the Legion under Caesar has its benefits. Mr House and Independent, both have their great sides The real ending depends entirely on your playthrough and who you supported. Left open for us to decide
@@5223142 to me the NCR is good in intent but flawed in execution, the lack of both strong leadership and sufficient resources to actually be effective. Mr. House is nearly perfect in execution but flawed in intent. It’s an interesting dichotomy
House might actually be the best option after completing every factions run… NCR is tied up in beurocracy, legion will kill itself once it reaches California, and yes man’s ending leaves a lot to be desired. House would manage the strip and do exactly what he said he’d do, might actually lead humanity forward.
Ever since the first time I played the house run I realized that this was the perfect ending. Then when you look at the cut content as a result of the independent ending which used to be the ending that I liked, free side and the strip ended up in riots in a large amount of people killed with the independent ending
@@RLWBass ok well it isnt canon and was cut so canonically it didnt happen. there were no riots in freeside or the strip. it does not make sense for there to have been riots in freeside or the strip, the residents of both have an incredible amount to gain from being relieved of the NCR and House, even with the likely temporary increased strain on the followers of the apocalypse theres no reason whatsoever for a riot
@@shameful3604 House is the reason the families on the strip don’t kill each other, and that is 100% cannon. There’s an immense power void, people are going to fight to fill it. The omertas I’m sure would be 100 percent peaceful, same with the cannibals, right? People in freeside kill each other every day. Your take is trash, I’m sorry
@@shameful3604 What do you think happens when all of the major players are removed from an area, and you, the new self-imposed ruler, for as much fame you may have gained in your playthrough, still don't have enough popularity to be recognized and accepted as such, to hold the reins of power of an huge and powerful "horse" that Vegas and surroundings are? That's right, anarchy. Power vacuum. A free-for-all. Granted, if you do keep the Securitron army, it is mentioned that a short while after, after the dust settles, you do manage to bring back order by using the robots as your enforcers. But between the likely massive damage and loss of life resulting from the temporary anarchy, and you basically forcing yourself onto the throne with raw brute force and fear, it likely isn't something that will be accepted hands down without some occasional riots, protests and such (not to mention the lasseiz-fair attitude implied by the endings, possibly meaning that either no rule of law is enforced, or just the bare minimum). So yeah, it is absolutely canon, actually, check the endings. Both explicitly mention anarchy and riots ensuing. Only difference being, that with the robot army you do manage to eventually suppress (for the short term at least) the anarchy and riots, and if you don't have it, then true, total, 24/7 anarchy ensues. And don't expect the Followers to help much on keeping the peace, since with the Independent ending, they are mentioned to be completely overwhelmed and barely able to keep providing their services due to how many people there are from the influx of refugees.

Most common complaints i've seen of house tend to boil down to "but what about democracy 😢" as if democratic processes aren't the reason for the NCR being as crippled as they are in the mojave.
Usually people complain about how he's a dictator, and ignore everything else he says. "Doesn't matter if he's trying to fix the wasteland, he's a dictator so he must be bad." Democracies are great but the wasteland isn't ready for them.

Democratic processes have absolutely nothing to do with the NCR being how it is. The distinctly _undemocratic_ oligarchic control of wealthy brahmin barons is what shapes the NCR. It's basically America 2.0. Neither of those is anywhere close to being democratic.
I usually find myself siding with House. He's already running things decently, the NCR is floundering and the Legion are savage tyrannists. I don't want to take over and have to run things with equipment I barely understand. House gets stuff done.
fun fact i was looking in falout new vegas and i found cut ending voice line about brother hood of steal joining and helping Mr House And also 4 cut quest that need to be done 2 get that ending . i will try to make it as a mod for the game.
That was basically my first run. Despite IRL despising everything to do with libertarian ideology and their proponents, or reverselly, 'autocrats' in general, in-game, House really had me hooked and 'sold his fish' for me to continue on his works. He seemed to have the most clear vision of what to do and how to accomplish it. Didn't trusted benny and his favorite toy to do the job (specially since also the other factions were extremelly chaotic), and NCR also didn't had it's shit together, causing as many troubles as they tried to fix, and the legion... well, they're the legion, good for target practice in hard mode once you get tired of killing fiends.
The biggest problem with House is that any system built on one point of failure will feel it very hard when it does happen, and he's not quite so smart as he thinks he is. And never mind the ideology or anything--House *is* smart, but it's still fairly insultingly easy to go kill him if you decide to take that path. He shouldn't even let you in the front door of the Lucky 38 at all until you've proven quite loyal, but barring that, letting you into the area that can access his life support at any time before the actual battle? Dumb, dumb, dumb.
@shell2791 bro, he never said he was converted to your half-right version of libertarianism, he just said Mr. House had the best option, like genuinely, how can you play Fallout and be right wing? (Nvm, media literacy isn't your thing, you prefer to burn books rather then read them)

He's my favorite simply because he has an army that doesn't need to eat, sleep, or fear disease Not to mention each unit acts as a sentry to every other instantly and wirelessly transmitting intelligence and reconnaissance data that each unit discovers

As the other commenter said, you actually are, I have mods (i don't know which one does it) that fucks up the end slides so I can see below and above where the slides are and it's a red carpeted room with basic walls, most likely a room fashioned after the Tops.
you can enable movement at the end and move around the small room and behind the slides is actually the narrator its funny stuff
Ive never played a house run yet, and seeing this ending makes me want to consider this the cannon end to the story of the mojave

Mr House is not equal to the rest of the wasteland, he’s a 200 year old genius that’s possibly immortal and dead-set on human development, that qualifies him to be an autocrat in my eyes, if he had the same lifespan as everyone else id say democracy is in order.
Call me crazy but a developed Vegas ruled by House would be a prime target for the Enclave High Command, they are still around and rebuilding for their last campaign, Mr House would be somewhat aware of them in the old days + Them coming back in the Second season of the show (not only as remnants) or being set up for Fallout 5 makes sense, they are the big bad guys after all

@@LiterallySoldierBoy54 he is cold about it but he does care for humanity’s future and success

You'll love EVERY possible conclusion.

That's not how the world works. By your logic the military should run each country since they protect their respective countries from foreign enemies.
I don't think that's entirely fair. The way I see it, there were potentially thousands of people who were employed by House, whether at Robco or in the post-war world, who made him the man he was and allowed to save the Mojave twice over.

most probably the canon ending now
House ending is the best outcome by far.
@@addi543And that's the reason why Alaska belongs to the Enclave.
But that is only possible if the institute gets its head out of it's @ss and acknowledges Gen 3 synths are sentient and free thinking.

Usually people complain about how he's a dictator, and ignore everything else he says. "Doesn't matter if he's trying to fix the wasteland, he's a dictator so he must be bad." Democracies are great but the wasteland isn't ready for them.
@@generaltobias3777 House is also utterly unique in his vision can work. He isnt tempted by anything he doesnt comprimise he doesnt fear enemies he doesnt seek revenge he cant be bought he doesnt grow old and become senile needing to be replaced by someone less capable. This can literally only work with him
If House wins, the NCR is still around. It's not like democracy stops working (the fact that Hanlon can win a senate seat is proof enough). For a reasonable price, the NCR can still access Hoover Dam and its resources provided they maintain good terms with the House's nation state.
@@davidhong1934 Ive always thought thaat taking the Mojave would justify being expansionist yet there isnt another Hoov er Dam to justofy that expansion in the cards so they would continue to overextend without an ancient wornder of the word waiting in the next region
Democratic processes have absolutely nothing to do with the NCR being how it is. The distinctly _undemocratic_ oligarchic control of wealthy brahmin barons is what shapes the NCR.
It's basically America 2.0. Neither of those is anywhere close to being democratic.
I remember I chose House in my first play through because he was so damn charismatic!
I usually find myself siding with House. He's already running things decently, the NCR is floundering and the Legion are savage tyrannists. I don't want to take over and have to run things with equipment I barely understand. House gets stuff done.
Love how no matter what ending you get it always leads to the same conclusion..... "War Never Changes"
The true good ending of New Vegas.
fun fact i was looking in falout new vegas and i found cut ending voice line about brother hood of steal joining and helping Mr House And also 4 cut quest that need to be done 2 get that ending . i will try to make it as a mod for the game.
@Foxy454 honestly at that point he knows he has to take a chance or roll the dice as they say.
Welcome to the right side of politics brother
@@shell2791literally
@shell2791 bro, he never said he was converted to your half-right version of libertarianism, he just said Mr. House had the best option, like genuinely, how can you play Fallout and be right wing? (Nvm, media literacy isn't your thing, you prefer to burn books rather then read them)
"think about the ncr before you sign on with house"
sir, at this point, if even a single one of those dozens of robots behind you carrying heat seeking misses wants to turn me into paved dirt, i would be paved dirt. you would be paved dirt too. but sure, let's do some last minute faction politics for the fun of it
I have argued with people for years that House is the best of the big three endings for the game
That's cause you're stupid
He's my favorite simply because he has an army that doesn't need to eat, sleep, or fear disease
Not to mention each unit acts as a sentry to every other instantly and wirelessly transmitting intelligence and reconnaissance data that each unit discovers
Dude you have a class sign from Oblivion as your pfp, real g
I played the story out the same naturally I just thought it was so sick to play as a double agent
Something tells me this is the canon for the tv series…
If the ending have taught me anything the ncr bring long term support to the area and the legion will fall apart sooner than later seeing how if you don’t intervene with the tumor problem well…..but I thought the vault dweller would bring a good 30-40 years of straight up peace. They don’t call me Lord Death Of Kill Mountain for nothing
House is canon based
I did my first play through a few months ago. I can’t believe I got almost this exact same ending :)
Looks like this might be canon
Yeah, why would they introduce him as a character in season 1 if he isn't going to be in the second season. I am 100% convinced this is cannon. But New Vegas actually looks like it is damaged and in ruins in the second season so another conflict in New Vegas might have happened ever since the ending of New Vegas.
@@omerthegoattSecuritrons is no Match for Deathclaws and Tunnelers. The Credit show there are damaged NCR Vertibird, Fortifications, And Bunch of death Deathclaws. I guess the New Vegas is Attacked by Massive horde of Deathclaws and Tunnelers.
@@GloriG_C17 The Courier should have been able to at least give House a warning after the events of Lonesome Road
@@RiseOfTheKumquat67 He think House and NCR are able to Hold them with his help.
@@GloriG_C17 i mean one of the best ways to deal with deathclaws is with explosive rounds, and i think the MK II securitrons have missiles, so thats that. But those tunnlers are brutal. I dont think house has much if anything to stop them, besides the courier at least
There will never be another game like this again. The writing and acting will remain timeless much like Icarus and Narcissus.
Gotta be the canon ending forthe show. No way they show House prwewar and then not again. Vault tec wouldnt head to him accidentally.
What if it takes place before the events of New Vegas though?
after trying the yes man and NCR ending
I think this one is the best
This really makes me want to play Fallout New Vegas but just soo many damn option's on what to say and what it does to your game and the ending ect.
We are so back
Knowing what happens to the NCR makes this conversation funnier
The first capital of the ncr was destroy as in there another one. That what the billboard said.

@@valance10 well knowing that bos and enclave was resurrected by Bethesda I said those people had been coping every single game.
"Vegas will be a shining jewel in the middle of the desert." Well that aged like milk (based on the credit sequence of the prime series).
Not killing the kahns. Yeah, perfect. All these dead childen these drugdealing raiders leave behind.
More like all the dead children the ncr shoots up
The Great Khans aren't that simple. Go after the fiends if you'd like, but more consideration would be needed to truly kill the Khans. If they leave, they'll likely build an economy not built on the back of narcotic trade. You can also convince them to make helpful drugs any way
@@shadowcween7890 I have been there when they first raided. I have been there when they set up camp at Vault 15.
I have seen first hand where they have been. And anyone who looks at this and goes "Man I want to be like them, i gonna join" needs to go. And when you talk to them in red rock, they are really living this.
You have an easier time convincing me setting off the bomb in Megaton should give good karma then letting the Khans exist
@@alnat950 If you take a really good look at it, the Khans are not upset because dead children is bad, but because they can't beat up and kill their own children anymore.
They are butthurt about killstealing.
Giving bad rep to the NCR to all the locals and PTSD to the NCR Snipers was just a bonus
@@TheTSense There's no evidence for that
I love how House's calculation about Kimball getting impeached is spot-on at 4:26, and Chief/Senator Hanlon at 12:05.
