This alternate timeline sounds like the perfect setting for a Fallout Tabletop RPG. Just enough civilization to allow for different styles of adventuring or player choices, but still more than enough chaos and classic Fallout wasteland to make it an amazing sandbox.
One minor criticism, he wouldn't need to send the platinum chip to the vault since he would still have complete remote access. The nukes made him lose that access so it required the manual connection.
There was a monument built in the middle of Hopeville honouring the 11th ACR. Bro, without the Platinum Chip and the Courier's intervention, House would be completely fucked. Assuming that nobody interferes, the Legion would beat NCR at the Dam and take over the region, including Vegas and Strip. NCR is stretched way too thin and doesn't have nearly enough supplies for this war. Omertas and the Chairman both are looking to betray House while White Gloves are trying to go back to being cannibals. House is out of allies and options, surrounded by two-faced traitors who are waiting for an opportunity to strike him down. On a greater scale, he's surrounded by 2 powers of which one is dominant and conquering. The Securitron vault is his one saving grace but without the Chip he can't utilize it.
I like to think that House taking a backseat in the end leads to the foundation of the corporations from The Outer Worlds, who base their formula off of House's technocratic vision, but they warp it, leading to the events of the game.
@@socialaccount0000 Well, maybe. To me, the universe of the Outer World's implies a distinct lack of social responsibility caused by rampant capitalism. Could this take place in our timeline? Yes. But, does it make a significant amount of sense in a House timeline? Oh, absolutely.
If Mr. House already had the Platinum Chip on time before October 23, 2077, then this version of the Fallout Universe might turn out almost exactly like The Outer Worlds Universe with some differences to the timeline by a few decades.
I was wondering where you were going building up to House's moon colony, because it looked like it was just going to be rather anticlimactic- "yeah, he said he would do it, then he did"- and then I said "oh, shit!" out loud when you reminded me that the Fallout universe has canonical extra-terrestrials, complete with alien motherships. _Nice._
That's the good thing about most guinness and scientists - they really don't care that much about politics, ideologies and petty squabbles with one another, they just want to create and invent things that would benefit everyone in the end. "...only useful during the Great War..." - I beg to differ! The Lasers of the Lucky 38 can reach (almost) any point in the game, so it can probably be used at least as air-defense-system, if not as a direct fire-weapon against attackers (sadly it is never seen in the game, but if we take a look at Helios I, then we know how effective laser-weapons can be...you can wipe out most of the NCR there if you use the defense-system against them and the C-Finder is nice, too...imagine using that to ambush an NCR-Convoy! People never give house enough credit, I actually sided with him in my playthrough of new vegas since he’s frankly the only one out of all the factions that seemed to promise any sort of progress at all for humanity on top of having plans far beyond Step 1: take the dam. Step 2: take everything else. Step 3: profit.
"You think you can come in here and ransom my property to me. I spent two sentries looking for the platinum chip it's MY invention MY PROPERTY MINE" -Mr house
I never hear that dialogue because Mr. Chad is the best chance for humanity to move forward. Also the game is literally called “New Vegas” the golden ticket everyone wants is the sole success and vision of Mr. House.
Honestly, there should be more What Ifs for Fallout. In a universe where so many things went wrong, it’s crazy to see more people don’t make universes where things went *right*.
Considering how short of time House got all this accomplished, the Institute would still be in its infancy, I wonder if they show up on House's radar at any point
Assuming their mode of operation is as discrete as in the main timeline, it's quite possible they manage to retain their self sustaining underground complex for quite some time before either becoming aware of House's paradise and deciding to reveal themselves or House's various forms of surveillance stumbling across them and establishing contact. From there, unless they've gotten deep into the ultra-isolationist bent, it's likely they peacefully collude with House and their technology is absorbed into the greater fold of Eden's efforts, bringing high level AI to the world at large, leading to massive increases in efficiency and automation potential, allowing the technocratic vision to unfold even faster--pair that with things like the alien technology and The GECK and you can have unmanned FTL vessels terraforming whole solar systems and/or things like self building Dyson Spheres. Throw in the advancements in bio-engineering that FEV research and the alien tech used to create the 'abominations' have provided and on top of that you can have humans with perfectly engineered DNA living on planets they can fill with 'designer' organisms, being anything from purely helpful bacteria which eats pollutants and fertilizes soil, to perfect crops which give incredible yields while being literally engineered to be as energy efficient as possible, to pets algorithmically designed for cuteness or whatever else--bit of a tangent there but you get the idea, a sort of super civilization that can essentially play god at will in nearly every way it sees fit. Of course, a lot of this depends on fantastical fictional technology but the interesting thing is when people discuss these hypothetical scenarios they don't often really boil down just how multifaceted some of these technologies could really be and how absolutely powerful they can make humanity.
@@ultimaweapon991 Its actually quite sad when you think about the bits an pieces of old world technology fallout. The world is at the brink of utopia with the technologies around the world, just waiting to be combined together, cut short by nuclear war.
The timeline could have been extended and the main characters other then Mr House could have lived with the aid of implants or House tech. I think the Master & Super Mutants could have been featured if the timeline had been extended along with the Vault 22 Plant monsters as a two sided threat.
My explanation for the master is: he would never be created as the hub wouldn't become such an expansive place and he wouldn't meet Harold as most people would have ventured to Vegas.

@@JRYYD Because I wasn't interested in negating the importance of time, I wanted it to be one cohesive story that could occur within livable amount of time. House also started off with a massive disadvantage in New Vegas, Mr House admits that it would take him years after victory to restart technological development, in this scenario he already has advanced technology sectors still intact and there's plenty of pre-war scientists.
@@andrewmannson7543 Most of China becomes an absolute hellscape from the American bombardment during the great war, save for the American controlled territory, which mostly survived and grew into a small American like nation in the remains of China with a stark military hierarchy.
I could still see some elements of Fallout canon still happening even after Mr House accomplish everything. If the Brotherhood of Steel still rose at Mariposa, established as it is and discovers Eden, they'll be shocked beyond comprehension of the advanced technology and paradise that the people of the latter had developed. A dilemma would develop among the Elders, weather they should invade Eden and claim the technology for themselves just keep it out from those they deemed "unworthy," or they should established relations with them? Same thing with the NCR, if they send expedition teams to the East, they would come across Eden and report it back to their superiors and the same dilemma would occur, annex Eden or establish relations with them.
I imagine the ncr would first consider a invasion upon realizing through infiltration scout s they have nuclear weapons a air force that can dominate any battlefield and space technology they choose to make contact peacefully . After tense negotiation s the ncr with pre war manufacturing mostly intact offered their service s in manufacturing and space to expand the Eden colony in exchange for access to some of their advanced technology to improve their lives . 5 years later the ncr has become a client state in talks of adjoining with Vegas as seat of a new parliament.
The original Brotherhood (not Maxson's Fallout 4 crap) is keeping tech but also protections, I think they will recognise House because he is Ms House after all, they probably want to be allies, there would be disagreement yes, but its unlikely they will be enemies. Atleast I think so
This takes place directly after the bombs dropped. The Brotherhood of Steel are probably the former military members that join Mr. House. The NCR wasn’t even established until the start of Fallout 2, so everyone is still in their vaults.
I think the NCR and BOS if they are established in this timeline Would either be threaten by the existence of Eden, and do a similar thing to Omegas recent vid (BoS win at Helios) or would fight against each other as The BOS thinks this Eden is wrong (unlikely)

I've never played Fallout and I only have a passing grasp on the plot. But man this story was awesome. The 11th showing up like the legion of the damned from 40k to clear out the water plant was so sick
For Hopeville it would probably turned into a new battlefield, a piece of territory that would lose the "Hope" ..heh it had for a future that would be destroyed from the Imperialism of the NCR or the brutality of Caesar Legion Ashton............what did he do there again?
You know, that would be a pretty interesting idea. Considering that Ulysses already was planning as the Courier arrived, it would probably be a story of him trying to drive out the large NCR presence in the area while also trying to hunt down and betray his fellow Frumentarri in disguise, all against the backdrop of a race against time, as the first battle for Hoover Dam approaches.

Considering none of the bombs landed in or around Vegas, LVPD and other law enforcements from the surrounding counties would've been able to provide support. This would effectively add another layer of defense against the raiders as they would have to fight through them too. If they managed to coordinate personnel and resources under the leadership of the Governor or Mr. House, they would've had a good chance to coordinate an effective resistance. Enough for the National Guard and the 11th to arrive and aid them.
That was SO good. It answered every question in my head from when I was playing New Vegas and thought about what if House got the Chip a day earlier. As with your previous two theories, absolutely fantastic job! I'm eagerly awaiting your next Fallout theory video!
The only problem I have with this is the Oil Rig. Control Station Enclave was said to be protected by "Poseidon Guns" that could easily shoot down anything that attempted to approach it. I know that during the events of Fallout 2 this is referring to the oil tanker but I doubt the rig wouldn't have anti-icbm defenses if it was the Enclave's designated fallback point. I don't think a single nuke would get through, and the retaliatory strike by The Enclave would be overwhelming.
The Enclave couldn’t retaliate because in fallout 2, the self destruct from Horrigan takes some time and gives the chosen one and probably some Enclave scientists and soldiers time to escape, while the icbm missles that mr house shot obliterated the oil rig almost instantly so the Enclave got completely destroyed, and if there was some soldiers left they couldn’t have enough power to effectively retaliate against all the securitrons and the army and the Air Force. But the Poseidon anti air maybe could take out the missles, but Mr house still has a bigger force than the enclave and even when they aren’t at the oil rig he could send missles and bombs then, rendering the enclave powerless against mr house
@@extrachezy703 I mean most probably gave up their Enclave past and settle down somewhere in their life after the events of Fallout 1,2,and 3 and the Enclave remnants we meet near Jacobstown are already too old to be soldiers. Either the President somewhere and his fellow soldiers have a way to reproduce more units by reproduction or controlled recruiting, sustainable station, and some resources to produce high-tech power armor then they can retaliate after years later but I doubt it since major known key point locations used by the enclave are destroyed by the main characters. Maybe in future fallout games there is one bunker that houses numerous enclave units and are waiting for someone to get orders from the president to re claim america once again.
@@starwolfcyberlight4546 If I had a guess for those locations which I do believe exist, is in the Tennessee mountains near Knoxville, or area's of low risk to the Nuclear holocaust of prewar America, I would think of North and south Dakota and probably Kentucky or Area's in North and south Carolina. Kinda like West Virginia with White springs in Fallout 76
There would be nothing to clover after Eden became a galactic civilization. It would all become speculative because it wouldn’t be fallout. Only thing I could think of that would make a part 2 is if Eden went to war with the Zetan civilization. A lot of people overlook the fact that Colonel Autumn never wanted to commit genocide. He was one of the few people who actually wanted to recruit wastelanders. They would do the whole community a huge service in hireing you for writing the future of the franecise. Even if something alike would mark the last entry of the Fallout Story, I would glady take it.
It's also cool to see a Fallout world that's actually post-Great War by a few years and the collapse of civilization with the named characters who barely held out rallying to Mr House, we don't see a lot of those
I would have loved to see a larger Enclave presence, or at least hint of what happened to them after the nuke was launched at the oil rig. Whether Enclave on the East Coast sent out a small recon team or Mr. House found them would have been cool to see, however we do know that the Appalachian Enclave suffered internal conflict causing their deaths and an Enclave presence in Raven Rock is unconfirmed. But my biased opinion changes nothing and I still think this and the previous alternate history video are masterpieces.
Here's a good recommendation for the next one. This topic has NEVER been covered by anyone apart from me, back in 2018. (Yeah I'm being bold, but i'm also correct): Civil Defense Administration as a faction. Civil Defense was the real world equivalent of Vault-Tec that existed in America during the 1940s, 1950s-1970s. Except they weren't evil, they were entirely competent, and despite what your History textbooks say about it, they spread no propaganda about Duck & Cover; all of it was legitimate information. Civil Defense undoubtable exists in the Fallout Universe. As far back as Fallout 2 we see reference to them, then in Fallout 3, NV, 4 and 76 we get posters about Civil Defense seen all over the place. In Fallout 3 we even get a little lore, being it's apparent connection to the NCRA.
The Unity seeing Super Space Mechanized Space Marines from Eden arrive in Mariposa with Alien Powered Gunships and wiping out everything in 10 minutes:
Would be really interesting to see how an interaction with the NCR would look like in this setting. A rebulding nation meeting an already advanced nation. But either way no, no matter the timeline, I'd imagine that the "post-post apocalyptic" territory of the united states will look drastically diffrent than the old world nationwise. Even though I usually side with the NCR, in this timeline I would full out go house lol.
I watch a lot of 'what if' type videos and this is probably the best of them all. The writing is incredible. The far reaching ramifications of nearly every action is fully explored. Even the characters seemingly created for this story were fleshed out to the point where I actually cared what happened to them. Great job! Please write more!!
1st generation Enclave was incredibly corrupt and flawed. 2nd generation is slightly better, but they still hold a grudge against everything that isn't them, still they could have been talked into joining House.
WOW… You *really* thought this through, the only addition you could’ve made would’ve been having the current date in the counter to keep track of time. Fantastic alternative fictional history!
This would be an epic HOI4 oldworld blues sub mod Also I work on large ships and i can say a aircraft carrier cannot leave dock so quickly. You need to cast of a lot of lines even after "singling" up, she needs a tug too.
If they took the smaller Corvette it would probably make more sense in that tiny timeframe but I imagine even those ships are pretty hard to get going after like 40+ years of dereliction
This was so interesting to listen to. Very believable as an alternate scenario and capitalizing on things House claimed he would do in time. Great job! Loved it.
This story is amazingly lore accurate and very entertaining, although while I understand why you left the east coast out of this storyline it would be pretty cool to at least include the Institute in as like a potential benefit or adversary to Mr.House, who knows, maybe if Mr.House explored the east coast he could’ve had a new fresh synthetic gen 3 body? Oh well. Another one on the chopping block.
Wow, just wow. These videos are awesome. I am left craving for more of these alternate fallout lore videos. Just the right mix of staying true to the foundation and own imagination. You are a phenomenal writer!
This was so wonderfully written and thought out so thorough!!! Such a great piece in only 40ish minutes!!! Stumbled on this while looking through other Fallout content, definitely going to checkout your playlists!!! Thanks for a great video!!!
Hardly. A lot of the assumptions made are just outright clownish. If you change those to actually representative to what is logical, you will force to change the whole story which invalidate the whole video from the start.
As a Las Vegas native, the governor would not be in Vegas. The governor and most of the government officials live and work in Carson City, the capital of the state. Carson City is 400ish miles away from Vegas, so I doubt it was close enough to be saved by House. The Mayors of Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas would likely be the highest ranking officials in the Valley.
Honestly could be as simple having been there to inspect some vaults, military facilities or some other thing. As he wouldn't need to be in Vegas itself to have been protected by Mr.House's systems since "the surrounding area" could mean quite a lot of area.
A god damn work of art I’m so happy I watched it i was very fascinated by all this and how it would go down with preexisting lore that would have to interact with the idea brilliant
What if Mr. House's missiles fail to activate at all and 77 nukes destroy majority of the Mojave including Hoover Dam? What would the NCR do during its expansion? Would they head north/south eventually stepping onto former Canada/Mexico? Would Caesar's Legion still expand westward if there's no remain of Hoover Dam or head eastward?

Same thing with the NCR, if they send expedition teams to the East, they would come across Eden and report it back to their superiors and the same dilemma would occur, annex Eden or establish relations with them.

Unless Bethesda/Obsidian add a bunch of information on what’s life on other planets/their civilization are like in the fallout Universe. Then they wouldn’t be a part 2. Remember, Fallout isn’t like Starwars
Always a Pleasure when you upload, Not really Alternate History but would love to see you take on a Institute Victory in Fallout 4!
I really don't get that angle people take. Am I expected to use "logic" to determine the entire outcome? When dealing with something as variable as literal existence, most outcomes are still legitimate possibilities. The way I create the story is obviously supposed to be such, a story, but that doesn't make it any less likely to happen.
@@TheOmegaInitiative It would be fun to watch you take The Institute and show what a compassionate director could do with their tech and resources, I mean House is great and all, but his tech doesn't hold a candle to what The Institute could really manufacture if they put their minds to it, I mean they gave Kellog an implant that made the guy either ageless or at least slowed his aging process down considerably! Now think about them making vehicles (Vertibirds should easily be possible, Road-Vehicles, too), power armor, medical devices etc.)
@@TheOmegaInitiative I think the whole space stuff what a little far fetched, but i still really liked the video, andi love the rest of your videos too. You're probably the best fallout youtuber out there, you're certainly my favourite at least
@@ollonet9965 Well that's why I didn't dedicate too much time to it. The Pearl Harbour chapter was meant as the finale, the space chapter was just tying up all the loose ends.
@@TheOmegaInitiative i completly agree. I love these long story videos. You are a great story teller. Keep it up
This truly brings a tear to my eye, it's so beautiful.
I’ve watched this over 20 times and every time it makes me happy to watch and see you bringing life into fallout
Your an awesome storyteller and I love your content
Keep up the good work man, take your time how ever long you need for another video if you decide on one x
Hey, Omega? Would you be willing to do a vid about a timeline where instead of the Brotherhood winning Falout 3, Colonel Autumn successfully beat the BoS & used the Purifier to gain the loyalty & support of the wasteland populace?
A lot of people overlook the fact that Colonel Autumn never wanted to commit genocide. He was one of the few people who actually wanted to recruit wastelanders. I would love to see you make a video on if he won during the events of F3.
If a timeline like that did happen at what point would the two worlds split as given the fact the player was raised by the farther to believe in project purity I don't think they would give up the code wilily to the Enclave.
That's my next "what if?"
@@TheOmegaInitiative i like your content keep it up
There is a series of fanfiction based on if the Lone Wanderer sided with Autumn. Look up "Autumn Morning".
@@ianlewis523 Is it as visual graphic-novel story or is it read-only?
You're fanfiction is simply great and enjoyable to listen to. Way higher quality in involving existing lore than Bethesda does. They would do the whole community a huge service in hireing you for writing the future of the franecise. Even if something alike would mark the last entry of the Fallout Story, I would glady take it.
It's also cool to see a Fallout world that's actually post-Great War by a few years and the collapse of civilization with the named characters who barely held out rallying to Mr House, we don't see a lot of those
Sierra Madre had the matter replication stuff too and according to Dean that was a common thing before the bombs
HEY! REMEMBER ME? WE WERE IN THE SAME UNIT! EVENING FROM HOPEVILLE
Appalachian Enclave? Brother, no self respecting Fallout Fan considers that Dumpster Fire Canon. Fun to play with Friends, yes, Canon? No!
@@CazzyVR Honestly, for as subpar it is as a game, 76 actually has a lot of cool stuff going on lore-wise (BoS shenanigans aside).
Honestly impressed by the level of detail you put into this alternate timeline, this felt like a full novel. Absolutely impeccable
My god, I just realized why Sim Settlements 2 ASAMS were made by robco, it was part of house's plan to rebuild.
This has been a great video with a good ending, nice tying in the different elements of the games, I hope you the best in your future efforts.
Dawg, wtf is your channel
The Unity seeing Super Space Mechanized Space Marines from Eden arrive in Mariposa with Alien Powered Gunships and wiping out everything in 10 minutes:
Do one where the Lone Wanderer gets their dad to work with the Enclave and help Autumn.
Id love to see ceasers legion go up against this vegas. Half the legion troops would probably be wiped out in a year.
I watch a lot of 'what if' type videos and this is probably the best of them all. The writing is incredible. The far reaching ramifications of nearly every action is fully explored. Even the characters seemingly created for this story were fleshed out to the point where I actually cared what happened to them. Great job! Please write more!!
This guy is so good at coming up with these hypothetical situations/ stories
Exceedingly well done. Great narrative. We enjoyed your thoughtful imagining of this alternative.
Retslaf deciding to nuke Big Mt & thus prevent the spread of cazadors.
Even though I love the enclave with my entire soul I loved how they were dealt with in this
1st generation Enclave was incredibly corrupt and flawed. 2nd generation is slightly better, but they still hold a grudge against everything that isn't them, still they could have been talked into joining House.
BY THE GODS this was such a good story maybe if possible make continuation
I gotta say I really do appreciate how you split your videos up. It makes it easier to watch.
The fact that someone got this wild of an imagination yet still make it make sense somehow made my day
I personally think this is my favorite video of yours so far with the video about what if the enclave won in fallout 2 being very close to this one
WOW…
You *really* thought this through, the only addition you could’ve made would’ve been having the current date in the counter to keep track of time.
Fantastic alternative fictional history!
This would be an epic HOI4 oldworld blues sub mod
Also I work on large ships and i can say a aircraft carrier cannot leave dock so quickly.
Great job! Loved it.
Imagine how fun a fallou city builder would be that took place in new Vegas in a frost-punk like style.
I feel like With the Chip, House would be able to save most of the west coast area. He just seems so OP.
Wow this was pretty amazing. Definitely one of my favorite Fallout "What Ifs?".
The absolute best ending
@@hyper6500 could've been, but more likely than not they'd be in Carson City
let's say they were all in Vegas for a night of vice.
This is one of the best you’ve done so far, looking forward to more
A god damn work of art I’m so happy I watched it i was very fascinated by all this and how it would go down with preexisting lore that would have to interact with the idea brilliant
You sir, are quickly becoming one of my favorite fallout channels, love the alt history keep it up!
Long Live Mr House! Hero of ALL Timelines!
This is the single greatest video I have ever watched on New Vegas lore and it also is just a direct affirmation to why house is the best moral choice in game.
