Onion, garlic are not eaten on festival days because on festival days anything prepared is offered to God so this food is known as satvik food and onion garlic are considered as they grow materialistic wishes that is known as tamogun in our body so it's avoided and not eaten

After 10 days of Ganesh Festival, we will have a 9 day festival called Navratri ending with big festival called Dussehra. Navratri is a big celebration in Gujarat and Maharashtra. During these 9 days, again a lot of people keep fast. So, you can try another fasting dish called Upwasachi Kachori or fasting kachori. It is made from Bhagar and potato (outer coating of Bhagar stuffed with boiled potato filling). It is very very tasty. Bhagar is made from barn yard millet and also called as varai che tandul or Samak chawal. Please do try. It is very easy dish with very little ingradients (almost same like sabudana vada, only thing is sabudana gets replaced by Bhagar / barn yard millet)
You can cook Sabudana Khichadi, Potato Sabji (fasting type), Groundnut Kadhi (fasting type) and bhagar (or also called varai) and one banana and complete fasting meal is ready.

Iodine is added in Table Salt in india, as in a survey it was found that Indian's in some regions had a deficiency, in some parts the deficiency was overwhelming, several cases of a disease named "Goitre" (development of a lump in the throat area) were found. You can also try making Khopra Patties which is crispy and delicious potato patties filled with a spicy, tangy and sweet coconut, herbs and dried fruits stuffing. Iodine is added in Table Salt in india, as in a survey it was found that Indian's in some regions had a deficiency, in some parts the deficiency was overwhelming, several cases of a disease named "Goitre" (development of a lump in the throat area) were found. So the Govt. of India, inspired Indian's to eat iodised salt. White salt contains excessive sodium, which shoots up blood pressure, where as rock salts are comparitively balanced.
@@tonycreations3367 that’s really interesting to know, it can be scary to know that so many people unfortunately don’t get all the nutrients required 😔

You can also try making Khopra Patties which is crispy and delicious potato patties filled with a spicy, tangy and sweet coconut, herbs and dried fruits stuffing.
Khopra patties are very famous in Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Parts of Vidarbha bordering Madhya Pradesh and in Surat (Gujarat).
If you taste khopra Patties (Khopra means coconut. In Marathi it is called Khobra) & Upawasachi Kachori, you will just forget Hash Brown. Both Khopra Patties and Upwasachi Kachori are much healthy as well, one due to millet (in kachori) and other due to coconut (in khopra patties).
So, please do try both Upwasachi Kachori and Khopra Patties and upload next videos showcasing same soon.
Great execution.....well done guys..its fevorite fasting food here. Mostly eaten on festival when people do fasting on the auspicious day. Try Thalipith, kothimbir wadi ( dhaniya pattice) as well.

Basically things like onions, garlic, ginger etc which are grown underground are avoided during fast because while uprooting them it may harm or kill any small underground insects which are attached to it.

You made shabudana vada perfect but we always eat it with coconut chatni. With chutney it takes to the next level. If you are making vada pav then make red chutney (called gun powder) along with it. And pls try to use pav same as used for vada pav. Next dishes you should make - Poha (Maharashtra style), Samosa, Bhel, Biryani. I have watched almost all your videos. Waiting for next one

Hi,
I hope this message finds you well! My name is Sanjay, and I’ve been watching your amazing vlogs from the UAE. I just wanted to express my appreciation for the beautiful way you showcased Ganesh Chaturthi this year.
As a Mumbaikar, I truly missed being part of the festival, but your videos captured the vibrant spirit and traditions of the celebration perfectly. The colors, the music, and the warmth of the community really shone through.
It’s heartwarming to see how you welcomed guests and shared the significance of the festival with your audience. Your genuine enthusiasm and respect for our culture are truly commendable.
Thank you for bringing a piece of home to those of us who are away. I look forward to your future videos!

Garlic and onion are " Tamsik " food according to Ayurveda. They create much heat and odor and make human behavior kind of aggressive. So a " Satvik " (pious) food doesn't contain garlic and onion.
The taste of garlic, onion is balanced by adding Hing ( asafoetida ) in stavik food.
