Enjoyed this video Mike 👍🏼 I completely agree with you about ‘Imagine’, it’s just been misappropriated and overplayed way too much and I’m sick of it frankly!
My solo Beatles collection is very thin on the ground and will probably remain so; I’m really only massively interested in that 1962-1970 period of the band itself. I like a fair bit of their solo efforts but to me the magic is when it’s the four of them together

Hi Jimmy, thanks for watching. There are songs that get ruined by being overplayed. Cheers... Mike

I have never done a Beatles video, mostly because I do not have enough Beatles records to make an interesting video. But, strangely, I have quite a lot of George Harrison and John Lennon records, no Ringo, and only 3 or 4 McCartney records. I enjoyed the video.

The Beatles were really prolific during that time period. They all had tons of built up creative ideas that they needed to release to the world. Amazing how many albums came out during that time Mike. Great overview

Hi Steve, I enjoyed doing this. Very different from the albums I usually show. But back in the seventies during my early teens I was a Beatles nut. Cheers Mike

Hi Mike, As long as I remember, I've been listening to the Beatles since the age of 11 ''What is the world's greatest music band ever?'' I asked my father that very question, and he invited me to watch the 'Beatles Anthology'' that would air on the French TV around 1996. From this discovery a true passion was born. I remember that my parents still had their functioning turntable at that time, and the only Beatles album whe had at home was the Red Album. Since we did not have any CD player I asked for the Anthology cassette for my next birthday and I remember I also received the French version of ''A Hard Day's Write: The Stories Behind Every Beatles Song'' book by Steve Turner that I still have today. Then, I started to save some money with one single objective: buying every Beatles record. The first one I bought was A Hard Day's Night in June 1998 and then closed the loop in 2001 with the purchase of Beatles For Sale. At the same time I got interested in Lennon's solo career. I went through really hard times as a tennager, outcasted by "the norm" as I've gotten often mocked and ridiculed because I was into ''old people music''. The music of the Beatles was without a doubt what helped me get through this difficult period, and all my life their songs have been with me. Many years after, I was very lucky to take a trip to your beautiful country, first to Liverpool, London UK, and when I went to NY I felt a strong emotion when I was in front of the Dakota. Speaking about vinyl, I'm lucky I could get ahold of every Beatles album that I all have in OG UK Press (haven't yet made much video about that). As a kid in the late 90’s I grew up with the CD, and when I got into vinyl a couple of years ago, I was amazed - the first time I heard the analog sound of a vinyl copy of a Revolver in mono, a great experience which gave me the impression of rediscovering their works. Thanks for sharing, TBH honest, I wasn't expexting your VC channel covering ''The Fab Four-related topic'' today ;-)

Hi Romy, I felt I needed to do something relating to them. I grew up with them although I was very young during the Beatlemania years. I picked up all the Beatles UK studio albums I didn't already own in the early seventies along with the various solo albums. I decided a few weeks ago that I would talk about those years. But as you know punk rock is my real passion. Thanks for watching. Mike

Great video, Mike! McCartney is possibly my favourite of the lot. The melody to Junk pops into my head at the oddest times. I like breaking out the Beatles solo stuff and do it pretty regularly.

Some of those albums I hadn't played for years, but I do like to give Ram and one or two of the others a regular spin. Cheers...Mike

@@mikevinylspiral I had the same reaction to Extra Texture. I mentioned it in a video and was surprised what a good little record it is. Not sure why I had such a negative feeling towards it initially. Maybe it was the repetitiveness of You. Also, the punk genre changed a lot of things for me, too. Really nice video, sir!

Nice stroll down your post breakup records. Ram, Red Rose Speedway, very much lifelong music companions of mine. Living in the Material world, probably my favorite Harrison album, I even listen to Extra Texture quite often, but strong contenders for me are 33 1/3 and George Harrison. Lovely Ringo album as well, should revisit that one 😊
