Congrats on the great result in Innsbruck!
Thank you!!
Your voice over talking through your thought process is so informative. Thank you!
Looking sick out there on the walls!
Thankss!! I really enjoyed doing them, will try to do it more!
@@sofya_yokoyama Yes please!
Beautiful climbing, and brilliant to hear the strategy narrative too.
Great vid, love the talk-throughs and behind-the-scenes stuff. Its been super nice to watch in the comps after following you on your channel.
narration for all the comp problems were on point and the little bit of extra humor made it even more personable. awesome vid.
my hands get RIDICOUSLY sweaty watching you climb from just cheering you on and thinking about how hard those boulders would be for me as a v4 climber 😅. love watching how positive you stay and how well you climb. cant wait for the finals video!
Love following you. Film as much as possible! And thanks. Enjoyed watching you at world cup semis. Congratulations
Thank you!!
I bet you noticed on boulder 2 your instinct was to go up with your left leg on that flash burn.
The pre-comp routine brought some memories, to the point of actually feeling nervous. Really nice video.
Very nice vid! Thanks for sharing your preps and personal stuff. One thing I would be very interested to hear/see is how you in general eat and how often you train and rest. I myself am struggling with overloading my body and not getting enough rest and sometimes I feel like my food is not fueling me enough. So I would wonder how a professional athlete like yourself does it.
Already seeing how you focus carbs in a competition day is very interesting to see.
Also it really feels like you've had some amazing progression ever since your last "burnout" or "break needed" situation. Great to see you back climbing with great results!
Hii, yess i'd love to do some more "a day with me" style of videos with how i train and what i eat, I have a few coming up! But in general, i've had yeaaars to find the right balance and i really think only now i've found what works perfectly for me!
Since i only climb at the moment, I have a mix of 4 to 5 climbing days a week with 1 or 2 days where i'll have a double session (in the fitness for injury prevention or cardio). I train on a 4 week cycle where every 3-4 weeks will be a deload week to recuperate from all the training before (which i find really important!! -- during deload week i have at least 3 full rest days where i don't do any kind of training, don't be afraid to have even 2 or more rest days in a row!).
I have my usual 3 meals a day, focusing on a high-ish protein intake (protein is key!), with 1 or 2 snacks/desserts in there too!
I find it really important to listen to your body and understand how much it can take. There are definitely times where it's good to push your body on days where you don't feel motivated but i'm not anymore in the mentality where i really need to kill myself in training to get better. Sometimes less is more! But it's a trial & error process and something everyone needs to test out themselves and see what works best for them... hope this helps for now!
@@sofya_yokoyama Omg Sofya this is such a good answer thank you for all the details
It has been so fun following your comps recently. I get so psyched watching you climb and also always feel I learn something new. Looking forward to the finals video!😁💪
Keep it up Sofya! Super good results lately, you rock!
Keep your head up, Sof!
Nice work u were really close on last one u go girl 🎉❤
am stoked for the finals ^-^
The yokester is ravishing
Sofya, love to watch and listen your comments... 👌❤
Yes, slab is a different beast.
But if you want to get better, you have to improve your weakness too!
.
Yeess def! Slab training happens almost every sesh!
Congrats on Innsbruck ! Those semi boulders were insanely brutal.
Thank youuu! Yeah it was intenseee
Good luck in the finals!
Thanksss, video coming sooon
2 hours of warmup!! I’d die
It’s comp warm up not training warm up aahah
As someone who also has trouble drinking enough water I can relate. However I improved my issue with electrolyte mixes. It makes the water taste bearable and has the added benefit of more electrolytes. I prefer LMNT for the lack of sugar but Im sure there are cheaper or other alternatives. Ill throw a packet into 40-60 oz of water in the morning which gives me a good start on water intake to the day
Looking forward to more vids!
Ooh great idea! I struggle finding one i reallyyy like though, i’ll start trying some more thanks!!
Good job. A few pieces of advice: Find someone to check the schedule for you so you do not need to check 50 times. You have to find ways to sleep through the night; a good night's sleep makes the difference. Good luck with the next one.
Thank you and yess for world cups, my coach sends me all the times and when i need to be where! Def helps tons!
gg
I like your confidence! And that 360 boulder wasn’t trivial at all! On slabs it seems like you can’t use your strength that frustraits you and you can’t compose yourself. I guess accepting that its not your strongest style of boulders might help. And even more slab training.
Oh for sureee and been training them almost every sesh! But what annoys me more is when i get quite far in a boulder at the beginning, then cant get back there (happens also not just for slabs)
@@sofya_yokoyama and we need even more content on this channel :) You are awesome!
15:46 you were given the fith top??
and didnt flash the first boulder 🤨
Looool the wrong screen shot was put there 😂😅😅 that was from the comp before my bad
Love your videos, so motivating and inspiring ! Good job !! and i'm impressed by your quads at 8:47 hahaha
