I'm so sorry for your loss, and know the grief well from when I said goodbye to my own dog last year. When I saw that scene with Fenrir in another playthrough earlier this week, I had to stop the video and spend the rest of the night crying and mourning my dog's departure. To see Cyn cry is a rare thing, this game has such a powerful start (my condolences for your dog 😢). I love everyone's character growth. Kratos says Atreus in stead of boy. Mimir says Kratos instead of just brother. Kratos says Mimir instead of head. I hope you'll continue to read the codex (the lore parts at least). I hope you'll do a lot of exploring and side quests, remember to look at the ceiling for the hanging buckets. I'm curious to see if you'll platinum this game onscreen like the first one (I mean you almost did).

Absolutely loved how they did Odin because in Norse mythology he's known for disguising himself as a silver tongued,unimportant, unassuming old hermit who would rather talk and make one sided deals than fight which showed how wickedly smart he was because no one would ever assume that he was extremely good at magic or one of the most powerful gods in asgard.
MAD respect for starting at Give Me GoW difficulty Just hope that the difficulty doesn't dampen the story's pacing or impact (that stuff can happen for me if I die too much on a first playthrough). But then again, you beat Sigrun on hard on your 2nd try. So yeah, I think you got this in the bag lol (I recently finished my 1st GoW playthrough (Hard). Took me about an hour to beat her lol)
Bro I played on No Mercy and I've breezed through pretty easily so far, but this one particular encounter with regular enemies in Alfheim just slapped me around for a good 10+ attempts. I was so confused as to why it was so hard.

Because in my head someone who needs guides to resolve puzzles or defeat bosses would be way more robotic, and there's no noticeable cut in the videos, so she would have had to memorize all of it before each episode, I know some people have amazing memory, but I would've forgotten everything in the first 10 minutes. LOL

I remember that from when I was a kid. I think because this version of Kratos and his story is so grounded, it actually feels weird for someone to seem more imposing then Kratos.

38:08 The Raiders seem to be talking in modern Icelandic. That one was saying "Nothing warms. Own skin or older. Always cold. Meat warms. Blood warms. Waiting for blood." It's presumably about the Fimbulwinter. After Kratos attacks, they say "Do you hear? It's him!".
What i love is that they made Odin and Laufey look like the actors who played them Richard Schiff and Deborah Ann Woll respectively but it also makes me thing they originally wanted Ron Perlman to voice Thor as the look and voice seem more him than Ryan Hurst who voices him.
They set up the Odin scene so well. Thor is polite and brings an offering and asks to come in, Odin just comes in uninvited, moves the furniture around, drinks from both of their cups. Odin shows nothing but contempt for everyone, even his own family.
I can finally watch CC play this game. Since I just finally beat it. And wow this is the best intro to a game I have seen in so long. This first part Had me in all type of emotions.

Thoroughly looking forward to the Borg Queen decimating another batch of dirty deities. And unsurprisingly on GMGoW. Atreus's voice actor is the same (Sunny Suljic) as the last game. So Atreus really did hit puberty! I too was surprised at the use of Fenrir's name, but I did come to appreciate how they tied it all back up later on. Hope you did too, you were far and away the one who knew the most about the Norse mythos for the the first game. The classic GoW formula. A death, an epic boss fight, then the game begins in earnest. 18:01 I never noticed it was a spoon! I assumed it was a cigar for some reason. That's hilarious! I actually don't like Faye's look. On the wall at the end of 18, she had tanner skin and dark hair. I know it wasn't Barlog who directed this one, but she reminds me of some celebrity I can't quite place, but ultimately it doesn't fit Kratos, in my humble and gracious opinion. 34:45 "No, you do as _I_ say!" Fimbulwinter has done nothing to dull the Borg Queen's spirit. 1:05:05 Reasonable or not, Kratos has made the mistake of striking deals with gods too many times in the past to make it again. This fight marks the 6th time Kratos has canonically died in the mainline games. Death just never seems to earn him, it would seem. 1:23:36 Paid for the 'invisible axe' DLC, did you? :D

God of War 2018 was a masterpiece this game is a masterpiece ++ Enjoy your time, so many awesome moments leading up to the big event, hint it’s in the games title lol. I applaud you starting out on the toughest difficulty, I played it through the first time on easy but that’s the way I roll these days not really looking for a challenge these days. I’m getting close to 60 and recently had surgery on both hands for CTS so I don’t have the stamina or reaction time any longer but I can still enjoy gaming as long as I avoid games like Elden Ring.

What i love is that they made Odin and Laufey look like the actors who played them Richard Schiff and Deborah Ann Woll respectively but it also makes me thing they originally wanted Ron Perlman to voice Thor as the look and voice seem more him than Ryan Hurst who voices him.
They set up the Odin scene so well. Thor is polite and brings an offering and asks to come in, Odin just comes in uninvited, moves the furniture around, drinks from both of their cups. Odin shows nothing but contempt for everyone, even his own family.
Mimir wasn't kidding in the last game when he called Thor a "fat dobber". He's one big dude! Also, I LOVE Odin's design, he looks so badass!

I can finally watch CC play this game. Since I just finally beat it. And wow this is the best intro to a game I have seen in so long. This first part Had me in all type of emotions.

I have played this part of the game too. It's the first part of the game. But i am liking this game allready. I am really watching other TH-camrs like myself playing the game. And see how others play God of War Ragnarok. That is so fun too do. The first fight with Thor is so awesome.

I too was surprised at the use of Fenrir's name, but I did come to appreciate how they tied it all back up later on. Hope you did too, you were far and away the one who knew the most about the Norse mythos for the the first game.

I actually don't like Faye's look. On the wall at the end of 18, she had tanner skin and dark hair. I know it wasn't Barlog who directed this one, but she reminds me of some celebrity I can't quite place, but ultimately it doesn't fit Kratos, in my humble and gracious opinion.

This fight marks the 6th time Kratos has canonically died in the mainline games. Death just never seems to earn him, it would seem.

God of War 2018 was a masterpiece this game is a masterpiece ++ Enjoy your time, so many awesome moments leading up to the big event, hint it’s in the games title lol. I applaud you starting out on the toughest difficulty, I played it through the first time on easy but that’s the way I roll these days not really looking for a challenge these days. I’m getting close to 60 and recently had surgery on both hands for CTS so I don’t have the stamina or reaction time any longer but I can still enjoy gaming as long as I avoid games like Elden Ring.
You guys ever get your favorite game but a part of you don’t wanna beat it too fast because you don’t want it to end lol
