You could probably argue for a Golden order vs Dragons set too (recreate ye olde dragon wars arc of the lore lol)
I think the golden order queen should be Marika and the raya lucaria pawn be the burger kings with swords (lazuli sorcerers?), but otherwise seems good!
I don't see how Godskin Apostle would fit into the Golden Order

Imagine an entirely different cast for the black pieces, showing off the more questionably motivated characters. Night’s cavalry, mohg, stone golems, albinaurics, grafted scions, etc. a fun set of each side
Nights cavalry are quite clearly aligned with the erdtree if im not mistaken.
Perhaps the cast of Carian or Gelmir characters would be more fitting. Ancient dragons could also be candidates.
Spoiler warning- Maybe they could be DLC people? Rooks are furnace golems, knights could be putrescent knight, dancing lion, or Gaius, bishop is Ymir, pawns are gravebirds, king is Prime Radahn + Miquella and queen is St. Trina or Rellana.

Why not take it a step further? Since most rememberance characters have their own factions, why not create complete different sets of different colors (i.e. Radahn's color is orange, while Malenia's is pink, Rennala could be deep blue, etc.)? Since most of those factions share the design for soldiers they could easily fill out the pawn positions. You could even have the named knights or characters for each faction become their bishops, knights, or rooks.
A Golden Order vs Raya Lucaria themed chess set would be awesome. The pieces would be:
Golden Order:
King: Godfrey
Queen: Marika
Bishop: Brother Corhyn
Knight: Tree Sentinel
Rook: a tower from the Stormveil Castle with Margit on top of it
Pawn: Leyndell Knight

@@QVegterFor the Carian faction, using Graven Masses as Rooks and Red Wolves as Knights is definitely an inspired choice. Basic Glintstone sorcerers as Bishops feels too basic, however, and the scholar children don’t have much in the way of dynamic poses. I’d instead propose Battlemages or Crystallians as Bishops and the Marionettes (perhaps a group of them) as pawns.
For the Erdtree Faction IMO keep the Tree Sentinels as Knight pieces and the Warrior Jars as pawns from the video, as they’re too iconic. It also leaves the Leyndell Knights for other potential sets, like a Morgott or Godwyn set.
On that topic, a proposed Haligtree set:
Pawns: Cleanrot Knights
Knights: Albanauric Archers (On Wolf Steed)
Bishops: Rot Kindred (Posed doing their annoying projectile attack)
Rooks: Putrid Avatars (Posed differently to the Avatars on the Erdtree set, different colouration)
King: Miquella (Classic child form, don’t know yet if the DLC gives him a new one)
Queen: Malenia (Base form, but with the wings of her Goddess form)

Queen: Tanith (And her Crucible Knight)

I am in awe. As A 3D modeller and 3D Printer myself, I must say you did a damn of a good job. And printing it on FDM? Insane. I was expecting you to pint it from Resin the whole video. You picked great characters for that dude. I love it.
If you would want to go a little bit harder, you could design a second set to like... have two unique sets of chess which is something a lot of those thematic sets do.
Anyway, amazing work.

@@GuidoC-Design its doable. But difficult.
A) you could get this from a multimaterial printer if the model would be made with the differently colored parts in account. I personally do not know how its done, but printing in multiple colors is a thing.
B) you could get a inkjet 3D printer that prints from white filament that gets painted when going through nozzle.
C) for the exact rendered look, you should print the figures on resin printer, get an airbrush with very good chrome colors like Alclad chrome or smthn and then get some flexible masking stuff like Silly Putty and really dig into the effort of painting the parts by hand.

I bought this back when you first released it and im finally now able to pay my brother to print and paint them out for me. Im so excited.
What almost impresses me most (it's a tight race though because this whole project is REALLY impressive) is the fact that the higher detail "photos" of the statues you keep showing before the actual real life prints are just renderings. The concept at the end as well just looks so realistic. Crazy good work!
The pieces would have been a lot closer to said render if he invested in some resin printing or sent them out to be printed instead of using FDM. My two cents.

Would be interesting to see a set for each major faction or a set based around a central Demigod as the king piece. Like the Redmanes, The Cleanrot Knights, Godrick's Gold Knights, Carians, etc.
Just for example, Miquella as King, Melania as Queen, Cleanrot knights as knights, Putrid Avatar as rooks, Haligtree soldiers as pawns, and Servants of Rot for bishops.

Personally I think that the erd tree is perfect for the king position as traditionally a player relies on the kings survival and will play around making sure it remains safe

I think it's be super cool to have the white pieces to be from the lands between, and the black ones form the realm of shadow. I would pay good money for a chess board like that!
Consort Radahn with Miquella hugging him would be perfect.. err, king? Queen? I guess it would be logically to make Miquella king (prime piece) and Radahn as queen (most powerful piece and spouse of the previous one), but they must be one piece, as in bossfight. So i guess they can be king and Messmer the Impaler as queen.
Absolutely beautiful work, i'm charmed! You really nailed it with ornaments and poses and ground, and lion with Godfrey/Maliketh with Marika is additional super cool bit of dedication. Especially Maliketh, his presence symbolize that true power of the monarch in their loyal and powerful subjects, even if monarch is a god

This is an amazing work. I don't think Miriel is a good choice for the bishop because he's maybe a good dog (and a great model) but he's very slow and a bishop can go really far on the board, maybe the Goldmask or Corhyn could do the job because they are also religious and they travel more 😊

- White Chess Pieces
Queen: Marika crucified and cracking, with Red Wolf of Radagon at the bottom signifying her connection to him and a nod to Malekith as well!
King: Godfrey ripping his Lion and Transforming as Hourah Loux.
Bishop: Godwyn with his merman tail and dying as the Prince of Death with Deathroots all over the place with his Death Dragon on the side!
Knight: Malekith the Black Blade with his Beast Clergyman armor ripped apart while pouncing with his weapon!
Rook: Morgott, while a top of his Lyndell tower or something, transforming his weapon with his other light sword, weapons, and his Geyser spell activated on the ground, and Mogh at the top casting his Nihil Spell and gaining wings!
Pawn: Godrick with his knight on the side, while transforming into his Dragon Arm form!
Black Chess Pieces
Queen: Rennala holding her Amber Egg similar on her Phase 1 but she's inside her Moon Spell instead, with some of her sweetings on the ground while on clash with Rellana her sister with her empowered swords while also inside her Twin Moon Spell too!
King: Radagon casting his Elden Ring shattering spell similar on his Boss Fight, with the Elden Beast on the side (you can switch it up with the Red Wolf from Marika's side if ever).
Bishop: Ranni sitting and Blaid on the side with her former empyrian body on the ground and her Dark Moon at her back shining!
Knight: Radhan on his Horse (First Version) but with Miquella on his shoulders while fighting Malenia on her Goddess Form but still on her clothes!
Rook: Rykard as Lord of Blasphemy as is, with his former look as a painting being destroyed on his lava aura, his Wife on the side and the weapon that can destroy him!
Pawn: Melina burning with her Gloam eye open and with Torrent only on her side, in the Middle is the Erdtree but on the other half is the Shadow Realm with Mesmer in the midst of plucking his eye out, already mid transforming to his Base form!
I’d love to see a part two where you make the dark pieces based around Ranni. It would fit the theme perfectly, as she represents the moon and the night, and she stands in direct opposition to queen Marika and her golden order. Ranni also has her own set of characters that could serve on her side. The king on the dark side of the board could even be the Tarnished, as seen on the Elden Ring cover, representing their rise to Elden Lord, challenging Godfrey.
If there were to be a second set specifically for Raya Lucaria, here's what I would suggest for the pieces:
Queen: Renalla... of course.
King: Radagon. He was technically on the Golden Order's side during the war, but since Godfrey's already the king there we'll have to accept he at some point was Caria/Raya Lucaria's king.
Bishop: Praetor Rykard. It's the closest we've got, but he's a bit of a cult leader already and he fits the role pretty well. Note that this is "pre-snakification" Rykard.
Knight: General Radahn. He's basically defined by his companionship with his horse, he's the perfect candidate here.
Rook: Lobster. I hate this.
Pawn: Albinaurics. They're just little guys that roll towards you, they're perfect.
The set look extreme good, but the knight one seem a little fragile on the horse's back legs. Are you sure it wont break if you drop it accidently on the floor?
I made the horse's legs and the sentinel's axe thicker after printing. So the print I'm showing off in the video is thinner than the final version. :)

Lorewise you should use Marika as the King and Godfrey as the Queen, because Marika is the Royalty representing the Greater Will, while Godfrey fights her battles. in the Lands Between. Similar to the King and Queen, but swapped.

Don't know if you noticed, but some parts of the video have high frequency noises that make it very uncomfortable to watch if you can hear them, e.g., at 3:47. Insanely great work though.
This is sick. It would be also sick to see different areas getting their own color, like malenias area as a scarlet set, farum azule as a Grey set..
Would love to see a King or Queen depicted as Radahn and Miquella, mirroring the Godfrey and Marika pieces. Ranni and Blaidd would also be awesome

There are so many characters that you could probably make two sets. I'm thinking Tree Sentinel for white and Knight Cavalry for black. You could even do different pairs for the king and queen. Marika/Godfrey, Ranni/Blaidd, Malenia/Radahn. While they might not have been cannonically bishops, Morgott and Mohg definitely had more of a religious bent than some of the others. Also, Rykard used to work for the church in the lore, so he could be a bishop, as could Varré. And obviously the Godskins need to be made as well.
For an opposing set of pieces have radagon as king, rennala as Queen, night’s cavalry as knight, Tibia Mariner as bishop, the frenzied flame towers as the castles, and albinaurics as pawns
This is amazing, terrific job! The FDM printing really doesn't do these sculpts justice, resin would've really pushed them to the limit and would've looked great.

Really nice Work! For printing them you should consider using an sla printer. IT can Put Out way more Detailed Prints but is Limited in size
NIce! If only we had been given more about Marika's former enemies, then the opposing side (maybe, white) would be:
K: Placidusax
Q: Gloam-Eyed Queen
B: Godskin noble and apostle
Kn: Crucible Knights with their animal appendages showing (wings or tail)
T: maybe the giant walking furnace thing from the DLC story trailer
We have no idea what the Gloam eyed queen looked like as far as im aware,
Placidusax is the first Elden lord, so he also served the greater will like marika, and they never even met so how would they be enemies.
The furnace golems are under the command of Messmer who also is on Marika's side.
Crucible knights use aspects of the crucible but they follow Godfrey so that wouldn't work either.
the only thing I would change would be the base for the bishop to make it a bit taller and give it something a bit better to grip like the walls or a bit of the fountain piece (a bit of my personal opinion here), though these all looks super amazingly well done that I want to print them myself. 😃

This is SPECTACULAR! Like as soon as I'm not broke AF this is going to be mine. Also, in case you like the idea and feel compulsed to do it. I think it would reach perfection if the white set stayed the same, and the black set was made of Shadowlands denizens (Messmer, Miquella, Radahn, etc...)

You could have made a black set with nights cavalry as knight, ranni and radagon as queen and king, gideon as bishop, skeletons as pawns and some siege machine as the rook
Pawn should have been a mimic tear. If you think it’s too basic, you can make them do different attacks. This works because pawns can become any other piece. I just think Alexander being a pawn does him dirty. He deserves better.
Hello! I think it could be a nice set for Dune-themed, with two different houses fighting each other. Could be Fremen vs Harkonnen, Atreides vs Harkonnen, Atreides vs Corrino, etc

I feel like making marika the king and godfrey the queen makes more sense from a lore perspective, but it kinda doesn't matter which piece gets placed where on the board.

as someone with just passing knowledge of Elden Ring, I would pay to have someone print it, paint it and send it to me, this looks amazing
You have created a piece of art that looks wonderful. However, I would prefer if the white and black chess pieces represented different factions present in the Lands Between. For example, the white pieces could represent Marika and the demigods, while the black pieces could be inspired by members of the Roundtable supported or allied with the Tarnished. Additionally, I would like different designs for the duplicate pieces, but that would definitely be excessive. In my view, the black chess pieces would look as follows:
- Gideon Ofnir (as king)
- Tarnished from the promotional materials (as queen)
- Corhyn or Rogier (as bishop)
- Diallos or Nepheli Loux (as knight)
- D or Alexander (as rook)
- Ordinary Tarnished (as pawn)
On the other hand, the white pieces would be composed as follows:
- Marika/Radagon (as king)
- Godfrey (as queen)
- Miquella or Malenia (as bishop)
- Mohg or Morgott (as knight)
- Rykard or Radahn (as rook)
- Morgott's Knight (as pawn)
That is an ungodly amount of time for some chess pieces. Looks absolutely amazing

I think Elden ring could really benefit from an isometric chess set, like to symbolize us vs Marika and her forces, What about for black as we are the opposing faction it could be made up of those who help us on our journey. we could have the tarnished as king and ranni as the queen, bishop could be Melina knight could be blaidd rook could be iji and pawn could be like the wolves or the jellyfish as those are our first summons
Amazing work man! This is an unique thing to be able to have on an Elden Ring figure collection, even it's just chess pieces.
damn is that nice, it would even cooler if the black site got diffrent pieces like the jumper is the black horseman with the horse that is covered in a blanked or stuff like this !
Now that Shadows of the Erdtree is out, you should do another set of chess pieces using Enemies, Characters or Bosses from the DLC as the Black pieces
(Because they are in shadows!)
