The first game was traveling on land, this game is traveling on the sea, now all we need is a game about traveling in the sky and we’ll complete the trilogy.

Amazed. I love playing with camera and when you zoom out and become just a tiny being in big dark ocean. Also love to discover how the ship in working, without any tutorial. Game evokes all kind of emotions. Great experience. Piece of art for shure.
I think the fact that makes me like this game more than the first one is the ambience, it’s so pretty and sad at the same time

From dried land to flooded land
Man things sure changed in that world
The Oceans decided to move one day
It seems like on side of the world is lower, like the ocean flooded entirely to one side.
The sea levels probably sank - the previous game is all at a higher altitude.
Anytime I grabbed a music box or other item that wasn't a fuel container or welding tool, I stuck it into the back room for decoration.

They should make the next game two-players where you work together with a friend
Hell yes. A co-op would also make managing the ship easier. I had a few scrapes with the mast hitting low stuff, but the biggest pain for when you get the overdrive is making sure to keep the engine cool while maintaining the charge. But yeah, a co-op would be awesome. Also holy shit did I get spooked when I got to the moment where your ship is knocked loose by a glacier.

Well considering the status at the end of the game (spoilers warning), I would say that is not entirely impossible
I was honestly thinking of some kind of combat system that plays into the puzzle element. Maybe at some point, we would get a sniper/gunner tower upgrade, and we can use the sniper gun to shoot background targets, cause debris to fall, etc. If something like this happens in the next game, then it should include boss fights of sorts, in which we have to defend our ship from attacks by, say, a tank or mech. Then again, what would I know. This is just speculation.
@@The_Artist_Official meh I like the idea of using some sort of turret to take out debris, but a boss battle would defeat the whole desolate feeling of the game imo.
They definitelly made sequel better in all aspects…
like, when i had to dive underwater i was like "no way, it CAN be a submarine after all?"

this was an okay game but to me the first one is better
lokomotive > ship: okay electric engine is cool but when you hit the loko engine, those powering up train sounds are damn satisfying
submarine parts music reminded me of ori and the blind forest, and that balloon part was surprising but not even close to the legged giant ship
the puzzles felt more in place, natural and logical in the first game.
btw cant wait for the next two game: in air and in space! .... or an underground game with a driller vehicle

anyone else hit a bug @42:00 where the water level is really high, even above the opening "blinds" that allow the craft to move through?
I knew something was wrong beforehand 'cause the water levels kept jumping up and down randomly.
I think that I’m stuck… I’ve gotten to the Floating City without any repair nodules, so my engine can only sustain half energy. Sending the full charge down to the generator chamber is not a possibility for me! HALP!
Before you get in the balloon I just can’t get hook to pull the ring off. It just disconnects all the time.
I get stuck on the train part (technically after the train part)
I know you have to put fuel into the ship engine and start the engine up by pushing the blue lever above the pumping bag, but for me somehow i just kept clipping through the blue lever and not pushing anything

Kid in FAR 1 is the lone survivor of a calamity and sets off across the desert until (she) runs out of land. Kid in FAR 2 is the lone survivor of a calamity and sets off across the ocean until (he) runs out of water. Both have arrived knowing there is nowhere else to go and with the certainty that they are the only ones left.
Unless there's a FAR 3 where a spaceship lands next to them.

I don't think the 'why' matters much to those kids anymore. Only the 'what' there is to do: Live.

For some reason, at the 2:06:00 mark, the light won't turn on and I can't insert the module. Anyone know what the issue may be?
I was happy to see this game then I read the trophies listing! I saw that damn speed run … so, question is how much room for error for this??
At the first playthrough, it is better to skip this achievement and enjoy the game.
At the second playthrough, there should be no problems with this achievement.
There is a lot of fuel in the game, you can use the engine almost constantly. The time limit is not very strict.

A bit more tediousness to be sure. The original was a true masterpiece but this one lacks because of so many problems with the game mechanics

Dunno if I got a bug but at 2:07:55 I couldn’t cool the engine to stop it overheating before the blue line got to the end. Tried it 10 times and never managed it. Gave up and uninstalled. Your engine didn’t seem to overheat as fast as mine did (mine was damaged and I had no repair kit). Also the water pump wasn’t working so couldn’t cool it. Poor game design.
I also gave up at that spot. I spent all fuel and it didn't respawn like it usually did, so I couldn't continue.

Got stuck at the train. These puzzles all seem like quite the hassle. I think this game is not for me.
Well this was semi fun until I ran out of fuel and now I can't go anywhere and my game is over and I have to start all over again. Fun. I thought you could just use the wind like you did before you got your sales but there's no way to just automatically use the wind so that was an hour plus wasted because I can't get close to that door
From the concept you can never be stuck. Usually fuel respawns or you have to wait for the wind. But it seems not 100% reliable.

In my honest opinion, this game is much better, the first ones great and all, but i like this one much better, it might just be because I'm obsessed with submarines and the ocean in general
