My favorite elk hunters ! I’ve learned a lot from Corey and just taking his advice. Thank you for the generosity and the willing to share your knowledge with all of us. Happy hunting 2020
I bought Cory's bugle tube and mouth reads, watched his videos on using the diaphragms and I now am a confident caller! Called in a bunch of bulls last year and about 5 hunters too 🤣 Got a lot of compliments on my calling and it really gave me a sense of pride. I went from being intimidated by diaphragm calls and not knowing how to use them AT ALL, to an elk calling beast in about 6 months time haha. The man definitely knows his stuff and does an excellent job teaching how it's done 👍
Congratulations! Dude, my experience has been similar since I purchased his Elk101 University and watching his elk hunting videos… I love bugling elk man, I’m better from him sharing this knowledge - I hope you’ve been slaying and enjoying the ride my friend!
What about the concept "setting up a scenario" like in white tail. You do some hot doe bleats... Then a young/medium buck grunt or two.... One more hot doe bleat.... Then a longndrawn tending grunt.... I have called in deer using that to make big bucks think there is a hot doe with a wimpy, easy to fight buck. (I did that plus a little antler rattling and my mom shot a beautiful 10-point who came 50 feet to our blind) I have also SEEN it work on a lot of hunting shows, but I am asking if using a combination of cow mews and Bull Bugles can work to the same effect? Yes? No? Thank you and greetings from Saskatchewan! 😊
Thanks for the great video. At 3:03, do you say you give him a cow call and he responds with the bugle and then you bugle? Or are you saying you get him to cow call, then bugle then you bugle back and challenge him? I think it's the former, but I'd love to have that clarified before I go out in a month. 😉
I would absolutely love the chance to fling some arrows with you two. I have a diphram call. But i think its a little to big so i trimmed it down. I can make cow sounds but cant seem to get the call to stay in place. I have tonput the metal part of the reed against my top front lip to get any sound. Can you give me any tips
Best of luck to the both of you down there in the Gila. Was helping RMEF James Lucero scout in his unit of the Gila and traveled through a little bit of the unit you guys are hunting. Saw some very nice bulls in the unit you will be in, although not in the area you guys hunt (James told me all your secret hunting areas for that unit!). Good luck and stay safe.
Dang, what am I going to do with that guy. We leave in two days. I hope we find some nice bulls. I'm not picky, so it won't take much of a bull for me to release an arrow. Best of luck this season.
Hi, what is your opinion for glassing long distance. Cost is always an issue with licensing room and board, fuel etc. we hunt Wyoming at least every other year. We were talking about upgrading scope and binoculars. Any suggestions, without trying every pair, we are hoping to get some advise. I’m not sure I need a eight thousand dollar pair. Thanks Big D
Randy Newberg, Hunter i see. Thanks for the reply. Never tried bow hunting, though i have a bow. Never hunted anything other than rifle season. So i know little of any of the other seasons. Im learning
@@Fresh_Tracks that is far form the truth. Calls that actually sound like elk will work all the year round on cows and in October for second season elk. Not to mention still hunting while occasionally playing a soft cow mew or tow will absolutely give you a few extra seconds on an elk in the timber unless they smell you. If you do not add the quiet cow calling you will most likely walk up on empty beds. Unless you are an actual ninja and can walk with out making sound in the snow for instance. Hard to do
Just saying I've found if you are on a heard bull and call to his cows and I guess kind of ignore him first off he feels like he has no choice but to come find you and get you out of the game itsa certain bugle and I wish I had it to share but I'm sure you could TH-cam it but it works real well here in co drives the bulls mad and can get a heard bull out of his safe zone.
Ok... kind of off topic... anyone else notice corey's facial expression sometimes looks like he wants to laugh in your face when he's listening to you? haha might be just me. His facial expressions are pretty funny to watch

Come meet this legend tomorrow in Nampa Idaho at the ford center!
I can't believe you guys drew those tags. Unreal! That will be an awesome video next year.
We're excited, for sure. Thanks for watching.
Love these two fellas

No Colorado for me this year. Hopefully next year.

What kind of elk calls do you use?
Which you prefer the second or third week of September to hunt Elk?

Great video; great message.
Thank you!
Thanks for watching.
Why does he not chuckle I do the same thing, I’m just wondering if the out reason is the same as mine

I got vortex viper binoculars,, I think those are perfect 600 bucks
THIS IS GOLD.
Corey's mouth music is killing me! Lol
Awesome Video!!
I just found this video. Is this call available yet?
Yup. Elk101.com
Signed up for Elk101...never got the email.
See you in the Gila Randy... first or second season?
Second season. Good luck.
Saw this guy on land of the free, the man👍
Yup. Corey is a guest on many platforms.
Randy you look like Sean Evans from hot ones
New to elk hunting. Ive yet to hear one actually bugle. Last rifle season they were quiet. Not a single bugle or mew to be heard anywhere
How do you act with calling if they are completely silent during peak rifle season?
In most rifle seasons, they are completely silent. Calling will do nothing to help. It is a spot and stalk opportunity in most rifle hunts.
Randy Newberg, Hunter i see. Thanks for the reply. Never tried bow hunting, though i have a bow. Never hunted anything other than rifle season. So i know little of any of the other seasons. Im learning

Hey Randy! I hope the day has found you well. I tried to coupon and it says it doesn't exist!
I'll check into that and let you know.
Thank you Randy, your time is valued and appreciated.
Corey says it is now good to go. Thanks for your patience.
Looks like you've got a few too many Orion coolers there. Hit me up if you're looking to get rid of one. :)
That's like being "too lucky." No such thing ;)
you are awesome
Nice

might be just me. His facial expressions are pretty funny to watch
Anyone who hunts with me and has to look at me all day probably wants to laugh in my face.
Randy Newberg, Hunter hahaha nah. You guys are light hearted and funny. Keeps it interesting man. Keep doing what you do
Looks like I was late to the party.... coupon code has expired.
Sorry.
why is Newberg so irritating?
I was born that way. You?
Newberg forgot more than you will learn!! I’ve been guiding for 25 yrs!!!! I watch him and Jacobsen for a reason…
Humble yourself and start learning
I'm a better caller than you
No one cares that you are.
