I’m going back to school to become a psychologist. I pray I am able to help heal people that have been through this. It’s so sad. I truly believe it’s what God is calling me to do! ❤❤❤❤❤
As a Ghanaian American the culture difference living both was difficult. It influenced my carrier in public health science community/policy management which lead to the The Road to self Mastery Holistic project I’m doing now. I grew up in SDA hardcore and to this day within my journey I’m dealing with a lot within my family due to the religion since I went into spirituality rather thn religion. My journey self mastery works thought me so much and with me living it not just working in the field changed my life outlook. Me trying to face traumas in life in family I definitely faced the imposter syndrome cause I had to change my behavior and state of being. That even my family made me feel like I was being a different person. Iv been isolated from family because of how different I am and rather thn loving and accepting me they rather ignore cause I don’t fit their SDA life anymore 😢 Having to live in isolation from family unless you bow to their rules or allow them to break your boundaries is very challenging Facing life in general can feel overwhelming and even feel unreal at time but that the beauty. We are ever changing and growing. I wanted to go into more but also don’t want to make my comment too long lol
Today, I actually said to my daughter-in-law I want to have a conversation with her about protecting her children. I believe we as parents and specifically mothers need to start having conversations with the children about anyone touching them they need to tell you. I've heard of many adults only now speaking about the things that have happened to them that they never spoke about at the time.
Wow. Definitely not a coincidence then. These days we definitely need to educate our children much earlier so they are wise when they start school. Mothers definitely have a responsibility for the teaching for sure

I love that he has open conversations with his son about not sending “D” pictures 😂 and all the things that gets our children initiated into gangs. I also has not thought about the fact that our African churches do not have safeguarding policies for children. The part about why/ how we (black people) started beating our children was so eye opening. Well done on such great content babe👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Siiis, I think a lot of us parents need to be so open about what can happen if you send these nudes out. Once it’s out there that’s it. Hearing him say that made me think I need to prepare myself to have these convos when the girls are older
Godly boldness, Discipline and consistency is important. Psychiatry was the field I was geared to do when I came to this country but got sideline when my husband was in engineering school and I became a mother. I decided on being an accountant and writer😢. I am the therapist to my friends and writing let's me delve into characters with different personality with people. I haven't publish as yet but by God's grace 10 books will be published.
