You are an amazing young man...I don't know you, but I'm so proud of what you have done!
I could listen to you speak forever, your voice is relaxing and calm, and you are so inspirational; who couldn't be motivated to be good just by listening to you?!
I was good up to your forgiveness of your dad, you made the first step then the walls came tumbling down, wow, it's incredible what God's love can do! I was truly moved to tears. (Thank God for your pastor who is so smart and knew what you needed to hear)
I can't wait for the next part of your story! Love and peace from NJ!

@@dizzy6277 This amazing man of God was in and out of prison from 12 to 25 (a convicted felon on 2 charges he served time for), has had multiple people die and is claiming a connection to a well known Asian LA gang… I doubt he wouldn’t have been checked by now if he was lying. Michael having being a former mafia member surely would’ve checked out his story before having him on too. Also I understand his glazing over certain topics they are probably super personal and heartbreaking for him… the fact this man I haven’t seen say he has PTSD or something after all he’s been through is another testament of God’s glory. M.F knows he’s for real “gangster recognise gangster.”
This is not a kind of life many people (like me) would want to talk about, let alone proclaim openly as his testimony but is.

Amazing that it’s the first time in my 38 years of this life i ever heard a perfect explanation of why to aplogizs to someone even though that person is wrong. And then beneath it to find out that his dad was just mentally sick from accidentally taking a life and was self medicating the pain from it. And you actually allow them back in. In your words, the devil has invaded your home and you think God will save you from him, no you are actually dumb enough to be fooled and your so afraid to say he isn't genuine that you do nothing but take his word in the hopes that his true intentions will be supernaturally revealed. hahaha most evil goes unpunished in this life and you weaklings continue defending him.

I was involved in the "life" for over half my life. My mother rest her soul , never gave up on me, never judged me or preached to me, always accepted me, but in that quiet way she slowly pulled me out that life to were one day we were haveing a coffee and i said mom i dont want do this no more im going to stop, i never went back to that life after we had that coffee. our relationship changed from mom and son to her becoming my best friend and then my mother, it was rough afte that coffee , i had to disappear for a while move out town but she was there when i was gone and there when i came back. sadly she passed 3 or was it 4 yrs later. but it was my honor to take care of her the same as she did my whole life. so never give up hope, just be there for your children, dont judge them, dont tell them how there life is bad, just talk about other things, anything but that life. they need to see/hear other stuff. let a small seed be planted. though my mother i found god, but it took 35 ish years. i was young and knew everything then i got older and released i knew nothing. now i have a wife, kids legally own everything in my life. i might be broke but im probably the happiest iv been in my soul, and that is all because of my mom and her quiet, accepting, none judgemental way. have faith, even if your faith falters , remeber the lords doesnt and he will be there all ways for you and your children.
      Much love from Alberta Canada.

This was so powerful. I do not even know what to say man. Bless Johnny! I needed this today. This had me in tears, because lately I have been feeling really down on myself. Not taking care of myself, not taking care of my home. Circumstances forced me to clean my home. It isn't perfect now, but I like it and I am at peace with it. But the circumstances that forced me had me in nerves, it had me pissed off. Today was the day I was finally done, and I got this feeling of peace, then this comes along and reminded me that I was tested. Do this thing, it is a simple thing, but it is better than yesterday. I still had post nerves from how fried I have been, this took all of that away. Now I realize that it was a symbolic act where I got to clean out my mind. God is great, and Christ is King!

I hadn't watched this channel before,so it wasn't what i thought it would be ,but I must say I was amazed how Jonny could remember and take in so much of what this priest was saying to him that day. To have it change his life is so wonderful! I truly think he has a gift of expressing himself in such a wonderful way. I truly believe he can help alot of people that are struggling and living in sin that are out there. May God bless him on his journey, and may God bless this priest that spoke to him on that first day. It just goes to show you it only take one caring person to change your life for the good.

I'm not Christian, but i love hearing stories of people healing, getting over their trauma and give themselves a chance to be better.
Johnny's story is such a powerful one, I enjoyed listening to every minute of it and i'm glad he found his way.
This is the real beauty of religions, although i'm non religious, I still recognize that some teachings and beliefs can help people go through so much, people just need a path and a chance.

Johnny my Brother. Your Testimony was Deeply Heart Felt. I myself was Birthed into a criminal lifestyle. It was a way of life, like it was just normal. I'm 61 now and my Father died in prison 30yrs ago at 72. I surrendered my life at 27, and at my Father's services there was a guy in prison with My Dad. This guy said My Dad decided to go to Church in there and Seen my Dad with his hands raised up to The Lord with Tears in his eyes. Bro I was So Greatfull that he made it. Listening to your story I can See how The Lord will reach many lives through you. God Bless You My Brother. Stay humble before Our Lord. May The Holy Spirit continue to guide you on your journey. Haven't talked to my dad in a long time. Never had a relationship with him. I am going to be in his area in MS and I am going to apologized to him for being a bad son, even though I know its not necessarily my fault. I have a family with a wife and 3 children, its been tough being the man of the house without an example but I've mad it this far. I've wanted to have a relationship with him for a long time AND I go through this cycle of happy, unhappy, fighting with my wife, apologizing to her, then yelling at her again because I loose my cool. Guess we will see what happens.
    Thank you Johnny and Michael.

I’ve been struggling with a lot of anxiety in the last 3-4 years, and nothing has seemed to help. I am Catholic, and I’ve felt Gods presence slowly pull away from me during that time. I’d still try to keep that faith and connection, but it’s been extremely hard.
This interview made me realize I had forgotten God’s second greatest commandment: love thy neighbor as you love yourself. Not just that, but what Johnny mentioned about blaspheming against the holy spirit through implicit action and thoughts.
I haven’t cried like this in a good while, a happy but sad cry. This interview came to me at a very important time… thank you.

That moment when they can’t look each other in the face is the pride rejecting what is meant to happen. It brought me to tears because similarly, when I was 19 years old , I also thought I would die young. I was sitting in a classroom, with my big baggy sweater when the teacher asked us to pair up. He said, finish the sentence….i would like to work on….and I finished with “my relationship with my Dad.” The next question was asked 12 times. When you think about working on your relationship with your Dad, what words or phrases come to mind?
After answering 12 times, my partner then asked me “when you think of working on your relationship with your father, which word or phrases stick out to you, and we went through a process of elimination answers I had given until I arrived on the last one, which was LOVE. I was sitting in a classroom I felt I didn’t belong in, in complete tears, crying for the first time in front of people, strangers, and all I knew was that I had been the problem in my home and had blamed my dad for everything I was doing with my life and all I wanted was to feel love between him and I. My life changed after that moment. Thanks be to God.

It's tough I was angry with God because I felt I got ripped off. Dad died when I was 10. He drank to forget the war and somehow thought it was his duty to toughen me up with the belt. I still remember from age 6 if you cry you'll get 2 more. I had an older brother that took no interest. Mom would read the Bible and prey and I was trying to punch a priest through the confessional. I finally started to listen to mom. Things got better got married had 2 kids. I swore I'd never let my kids experience what I went through. Well I felt there's something to Christianity so me and my wife accepted christ at calvary chapel. A week later she's gone. She was having a affair and I was now trying to figure out how to raise 2 kids. I had to sell my home give her half. I once again denounced my faith and things got worse. I called out God and asked why. Anyway my point Things don't change overnight. I quit asking why kept my promise to my kids. I spent the next 20 years doing 3 things working raising my kids and praying. Well both my kids graduated college. I finally get to live my life and bam moms gets dementia and I spend the next 6 years taking care of her. Talk about hell on earth. Anyway I'm retired and own my home . I thank God everyday for miracle he performed.

One thing I've noticed from all the interviews you have done is that we all seem to yearn for a sense of belonging, and this seems to be the biggest aspect people miss from their past life. Not fake social groups where we "belong", but a group who genuinely accept us for who we are, good and bad. I am not religious, but I feel this is still one of the most powerful aspects that religion can bring, and why it plays such a pivotal role in bringing communities together. God bless, and thank you for what you are doing.
