I'm the Bass Player from this band! I am now a Music Teacher! I loved this experience and seeing that everyone enjoyed it makes my heart full! I love showing my students this video as a way to inspire and show them where music can take you.
You are doing wonderful things!!! All the best to you!!
You are very talented.
Just found this video, you played really well man, props to you and good luck with your career man
I wish my high school was this cool
Same here
God bless you
I go to this school and I am in jazz band (:
I'm part of the choir group that's in this video, I couldn't be more proud of EWHS
This is the most talented high school band that I’ve ever seen.
you haven't seen Garfield high school yet. Seriously, they're famously known for their jazz band
This is probably my favorite version that i've heard of this song. Good tempo, not rushed; wonderful musicians, and most of all this song captures the sort of "chip on the shoulder" attitude to me.
the faces the bassist makes are funny
That’s that stank face bro
God bless you
@@elianherrera5322 God bless you man!
Holy crap. That vocalist is also a sax player. Thats just amazing
The things I’d do to hear this live and in person. These kids sound amazing, beautiful rendition of my favorite song.
A thousand percent. 👍👍❤️
bro the faces the double bassist make me feel that this guy loves play bass
The bassist and vocalist were the highlights! Although, I wish she had more time. She came out and I KNEW sista meant business!
The bassist is feeling every moment
0:58 wow
Edmonds is a city not too far from my high school and when our school goes to the local festivals Edmonds always comes with the best performance. That alto player just graduated this year and got a full ride scholarship. I wanna move there. Everyone there is insanily talent.
Nice donna lee lick the alto incorporated with his solo!
That was truly awesome, especially for high school kids, dang. The bar has been raised people.
Omg the second girls voice and persona is just amazing
You are 100% right but no 1 girl is pretty damn good as well .... a special lilt in her voice.
@@brianglenville386 God bless you

bro ur amazing!
This is world class
Absolutely incredible, this arrangement is spot on, and performed by nothing short of the greatest high school jazz group I’ve ever heard. Bravo, or should I say, ACES, swing cats!
Awesome stuff. Okay, I'm coming to this five years late, but I'm thankful that Edmunds school district has a program that produces such find musicians. Music is so important and these kids are getting, at least those still enrolled in the program, a wonderful education. I'm willing to bet that they're also at the top of their class in academics, as well. But, I'm just hearing great musicians playing a great song. The Duke would have been proud of them.
Awesome job!! They're all great. Bass player looks like he's having a ball though!! : )
They vibin
Dang, I wish I was there
I wish this was my school
I graduated from there in '64. Wish we had this then. Glad I know the very fine director Jake Bergevin.
I love the bari and the clarinete im a bari a and tuba player also in jazz
Gosh this is so good
Wow! A lot of talent in one high school!
Wonderful to see them carrying on this legacy
Wow!! This group deserves 100,000 hits. Nice work by all!!
This is breathtakingly good.
2nd lady amazing!!

Really good ❤❤❤
Love it. Greets from Germany!
Awesome

Нет слов, молодцы!
Amstrong
props to most soloists laying the same solo in the recording of this version
God bless you☺️☺️
Correct me if I’m wrong, but that second tenor looks like a buescher True Tone. I have one in my attic rn and the low b key is on a different side than the rest as well
what's the alto's setup? the male player with the black or rose gold(?) saxophone
good
-1 point for having a bari without a low A
+1 for the amazing baritone tone
Whats wrong with the low a?
Harry Carney didn't have a low A on his horn, I guess he gets -1 point?
I think it might have been a vintage low a horn tho
Like look how far the bell comes up
But if it is a Bb then uh -1 for sure
Low a slaps It is an Absolute must
nothing wrong with a low Bb horn so +1 for playing bari sax and being awesome and +1 for awesome language and tone
High school ?!?!
Edit: two people have now replied that the answer is in the title. I guess I need to clarify. I'll copy and paste the comment I made a year ago after the first such reply:
I see how my commment looked like I was asking which high school. I was really just exclaiming "This is a high school band? Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I did include two exclamation marks in my original "high school ?!?!", but I realize that wasn't clear enough.
Edmonds Woodway High School
I see how my commment looked like I was asking which high school. I was really just exclaiming "This is a high school band? Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Unbelievable, hey
It literally says in the title
@@Yourmom-xu9ys I clarified what I wrote
The Duke is looking down on this and saying "those kids know how to play my tune!"
