- In this film we go canoe camping on an Island in the Lake District. We meet up with a good friend Antsurvivethenight and Charlie as well as Matt from Adventureismade. We had some wild weather but a great time. Billy was amazing as usual. Bushcraft and Adventure is what we live for. Myself and Billy dog love nothing more than being outside testing our skills in any environment and we don't mind a little filming along the way on some of our trips. Never mind that wild wind, I’d easily get stucked in on that food! Be interesting to watch that paddle back though. 😁 Even Billy seemed knackered!

Cheers Matt, yes was crackin. I reckon they'd get on well. Billy's pretty chilled with other dogs . I didnt really set out 100 % to make a film hence the limited footage and group shots etc but would be rude not to stitch a bit together if you've got it and as you say it's good to get a film out every couple of weeks. Be rude not to share that wild mornings weather with all our mates on youtube 👍. Tis a great community 🙂

Haha it certainly does 🙂. We love a bit of adventure dont we. Makes you feel alive when that wind picks up and it literally blows away the cobwebs and sort of gives you a reboot lol 😀.

Wicked mate. Absolutely great to see u out in the lavvu with billy and yer wow the wind mate in morning a wow good idear With the tarp though to block wind have done this myself a few times in windy conditions Breakfast looked good though mate a hearty meal befor a paddle is good

Great Stuff Young Rick. You can really load some weight when you have transport such as a Canoe, but even so, if you need to do a lot of Portage you probably wouldn't want a Dutch Oven. Black Pudding, I could kill for some of that. I'm in total 100% agreement about using ANYTHING you find out there to make your life easier in the field. Personally, I don't give a flying if someone should suggest it ain't Bushcraft as after all, the very meaning of the word means being comfortable in the Bush. You have yourself a very Merry Christmas.
Haha cheers Robert 👍. Too right mate, whatever works 🙂. Yeh definitely wouldnt be carrying the Dutch oven on any trips with Portages. Always good to travel light even if you've got a 16 foot canoe. It's like having a 100 ltr rucksack lol. Theres always the temptation to fill it with stuff you dont need . I rarely do but the dutch ovens nice when cooking for a few 🙂. Another top vid Rick! Im a fairly new subscriber and loving it so far fella! Billy is a lovely lad too. Just wondering what the rod/reel combo you used was please? Especially intrigued by the telescopic rod as there are so many cheap and nasties out there! All the best and have a good'un over the hols .
Hey Cheers thankyou 🙂👍. Its a great little rod and reel combo. I found it next to a local trout fly fishing reservoir. Someone must have been disturbed poaching and legged it without the rod. I've had some good Jack pike on it 👍. Its an unknown rod and howling hog reel.

Haga cheers Ant, no worries mate. Aye I wasnt really going to use the footage but I ended up with some half decent footage. Didnt take any group shots or intr/endings etc or bushcrafty footage but thought it was worth stitching those clips together if not just for me n Billydog lol 😀😀.
